의도 고출력 전자파에 의해 오동작 되는 CMOS소자의 전류특성 (Current Characteristics of CMOS device Broken by Intentional High Power Electromagnetic Wave)

  • This paper investigated the breakdown effect of the CMOS device by impact of high power electromagnetic wave. The experiments employed a waveguide to study the current characteristics of CMOS device broken by high power electromagnetic wave. The CMOS device were composed of a LED drive circuit for visual discernment. Also CMOS device broken by high power electromagnetic wave was observed by power current. The CMOS device were broke by high power electromagnetic wave at about 10 kV/m and when power current is 75 mA. Based on the result, CMOS devices should show plan to protect the CMOS devices by high power electromagnetic wave. And the database from this experiment should provide the basis for future investigation.

자립형 이동로봇 구동을 위한 직류 서보전동기 PLL 속도제어 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on PLL Speed Control System of DC Servo Motor for Mobile Robot Drive)

  • The speed control associated with dc servo motors for direct-drive applications of mobile robot is considered in this study. Robot is moved by power wheeled steering of two dc servo motors mounted to it. In order to cooperate with micro-computer and to achieve the high-performance operation of dc servo motor, speed control system is composed of a digital Phase Locked Loop and H-type drive circuit. And the motor is driven by Pulse Width Modulations. In controlling PWM, it is modified to compose of H-type drive circuit with feedback diodes and switching transistor and design of control sequence so that it may show linear characteristics. As a result, speed characteristics of motor showed linear features. In order to get data on design of PLL control system, the parameters of 80[W[ motor & robot device is measured by simple software control. The PLL speed control system is schemed and designed by leaner drive circuit and measured parameters. A complete speed control system applied to 80[W] dc servo motor showed good linearity, stability and high response. Also, it is verified that the PLL speed control system has good compatibility as a mobile robot driver.

  • A rotating device driven by an Inchworm motor was designed and fabricated to be used as an angie standard system. 1. PZT was adopted as a driving source, while the movement of PZT was guided by the leaf spring employing the elastic transformation of metals. 2. The device could rotate in a 360-degree arc. continuously Performance test of the device showed about 0.02 sec. of the minimum revolution angle and 1/15 rpm of the maimum revolution speed. 3. To improve its performance requires further studies on realizing a shifting device with faster response time, on increasing the output current (capacity) of the power amplifier used to drive PZT, on the dynamic motion of clamping. and on determining the optimum clamping condition

  • This paper presents a review of an improved high power-high frequency III-V wide bandgap (WBG) semiconductor device, Gallium Nitride (GaN). The device offers better efficiency and thermal management with higher switching frequency. By having higher blocking voltage, GaN can be used for high voltage applications. In addition, the weight and size of passive components on the printed circuit board can be reduced substantially when operating at high frequency. With proper management of thermal and gate drive design, the GaN power converter is expected to generate higher power density with lower stress compared to its counterparts, Silicon (Si) devices. The main contribution of this work is to provide additional information to young researchers in exploring new approaches based on the device's capability and characteristics in applications using the GaN power converter design.

초음파 모터 구동방식의 역감제시 기구 (Hand Exoskeleton with PWM Driving Method)

  • In this paper, we present an exoskeletal haptic device named SKK Hand Master. This device is directly driven linkages actuated with small ultrasonic motors. By adopting ultrasonic motors that have advantageous features useful for cybernetic actuators, a compact haptic device containing whole driving packages can be established without additional power transmissions such as tendons. Methods for measuring joint postures and joint torques are developed and a new control strategy called PWM/PS is proposed to overcome intrinsic disadvantages such as hysteresis. Issues regarding design and construction of the device are addressed and several results of experiments for the evaluations of performance are included.

  • Hyundai Motor Company has made an effort to develop fuel cell electric vehicle and its subsystem in recent years. This paper deal with the development of electric drive system applied to Hyundai's fuel cell electric vehicle. This system is composed of three main components such as motor, inverter and DC/DC converter. The specifications of each system is introduced briefly and experimental result of its main components is presented. In addition, we introduce the development status of power semiconductor device, film capacitor, inductor and permanent magnet.

  • This paper deals with the characteristic analysis of electro-magnet (EM)-permanent magnet (PM) hybrid levitation and propulsion device for magnetically levitated (maglev) vehicles. Several machine characteristics such as levitation force with/without control current and thrust are described. In order to verify the analysis results and feasibility of high-speed operation of the maglev vehicle, real-scale static test set is implemented and tested.

  • Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) has been researched for its superior characteristics. The SRM drive system has simple mechanical and magnetic structure, and it requires simple power electronic drive circuit. It is to be compatible to wide range adjustable speed drive system because it has the same driving characteristics of DC series motor's, easy control principle and high efficiency characteristics. In this paper, 2 types of excitation strategy are researched. Conventional 1-phase excitation and 2-phase excitation method are compared and tested. Though 1-phase excitation method is robust and has high performance, 2-phase excitation method has some merit in appling power device. Some simulation and test results are foaled with some analysis.

  • As optical disk drives become designed for portable and hostile environment, higher storage density and smaller size, optical disk drives have a possibility to miss the track and not to read the data. This paper presents the modeling of an optical disk drive as 3-DOF system. Optical disk drives are tested with a linear drop test device and their results are compared with simulation results in order to verify the shock analysis. Finally, this paper shows shock response of a optical disk drive with changes of parameters

  • Since rotor position information is necessary to drive the SRM, absolute-encoder, resolver and incremental-encoder is used to detect a poor position. But, it is not desirable to use a high priced encoder and high efficient microprocessor under the condition of the simple driving system when precision control is not demanded. In this paper, Only using the reflective type 2 photosensors replace the conventional opto interrupter and slotted disk, which not only remove a slotted disk section but drive 3-phase 6/4 SRM bidirectionally. Moreover, as control circuit only is composed of common analog device economy is maximized.
