강선 이음길이에 따른 PC 보-기둥 접합부의 휨 거동에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Flexural Behavior of PC Beam Column Joint with Spliced Strand)

  • As reviewing of current trend on PC connection details, owing to effective stress transfer in the connection, it grow to increase that use of mechanical splices, reinforcements or welded splices, and prestressing. However such devices as reinforcement, mechanical splices entail not only more cost resulted from materials but also extra construction process so as to cause PC used method to lower competition against conventional method. Therefore more enhanced connection details which help working process simplified and construction cost reduced. In this research, as replace 9.3mm 7strand for reinforcement, it is attempt to devise connection detail which makes workability improve and confirm effective stress transfer in the region of connection. The experimental research is proceeded by partial tension test of specimen. The splice lengths of 7strand is decided to be variations. The flexural capability is verified to depend on spice length. An an appropriate splice length could be also determined as a precedent research on improving PC connection detail.

복합 트러스교 힌지형 격점 구조의 피로 성능 평가 (Fatigue Capacity Evaluation of Hinge Type Connection System for a Hybrid Truss Bridge)

  • 복합 트러스교는 강재 박스 교량이 주류를 이루고 있는 우리나라 중지간 교량의 형식적 대안이 될 수 있는 구조 형식이다. 이러한 복합 트러스교의 핵심 기술은 강관과 콘크리트 슬래브를 연결하는 격점 구조이며 일본 등에서는 시공 회사별로 고유의 격점 구조를 개발하여 실험적 검증을 통해서 실교량에 적용해 오고 있다. 이 연구에서도 힌지형 격점 구조를 제안하고 이에 대한 정적인 구조 성능을 이미 검증한바 있으며 피로 실험을 통해 구조 상세를 개선하고 피로 성능을 검증하였다. 복합 트러스 거더에 대한 피로 실험 결과 정적인 구조 성능이 입증된 격점 구조라고 하더라도 매입된 연결판이 충분히 피로 파괴를 나타낼 수 있으며 이를 방지하지 하기 위한 구조 상세 개선 방안으로 perfobond 강재를 사용하는 방법과 강관에 원형 리브를 부착하는 방법을 제시하였다. 그리고 해석적 방법을 통해 강관에 원형 리브를 부착하는 방법이 격점부 강재 물량 증가시키지 않으면서도 피로 성능 개선에 효과적이라는 것을 입증하게 되었으며, 추가적인 격점 구조 피로 실험을 통해 피로 성능을 검증하였다. 따라서 이 연구에서 제안된 힌지형 격점 구조는 원형 리브를 부착하고 충분한 매입 깊이를 확보해 준다면 정적 구조 성능 뿐만 아니라 피로 성능도 확보되어 실제 복합 트러스 교량에서 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

건조수축에 따른 균열 방지를 위한 콘크리트 슬래브의 정량적 줄눈 간격 산정 (Quantitative Estimation of Joint Spacing for Concrete Slab to Prevent Cracking of Drying Shrinkage)

  • 콘크리트 슬래브의 수축으로 인해 발생하는 응력에 의한 무분별한 균열을 억제하기 위해 줄눈을 설치한다. 그러나 설치된 줄눈의 간격은 구체적인 산출 근거나 정량적인 기준 없이 경험적으로 나누어지고 있다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 콘크리트 슬래브의 수축 응력에 의한 변형량을 측정하고 이에 따른 정량적인 평가 기준을 제시하고자 한다. 노출된 환경 조건은 온도 $15^{\circ}C$, 상대습도 60%를 적용하였다. 건조수축 실험은 현재 슬래브 설계에 많이 사용되는 설계 강도 30 MPa 및 40 MPa 배합을 사용하였고 그 결과를 기존 건조수축 모델에 적용하였다. 그 결과 ACI 209R 모델에 가장 일치하는 것으로 나타났으며 이를 바탕으로 콘크리트 슬래브의 정량적인 줄눈 간격을 산정하였다.

암석절리면 전단강도 예측모델 및 영향요소에 관한 연구 (Study on the Estimation Model of Shear Strength at Rock Joint and Its Influence Factor)

  • 본 연구에서는 암석절리면의 전단강도를 예측하기 위한 기존 여러 모델들에 대해서 조사하고 관련 문제점을 제시함과 더불어 문제점 극복을 위해 새롭게 제안된 모델에 대해서 소개한다. 많은 실험적 결과에 따르면 암석 절리면에서의 전단강도는 절리돌기 각도, 압축강도, 작용 수직응력, 마찰각 및 절리돌기 점착강도, 절리돌기의 점진적 손상을 포함한 많은 복합요인에 따라 달라짐에도 불구하고 기존 강도예측 모델은 이러한 요소들을 충분히 고려하지 못한 점이 있었다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위해 Son(2020)은 새로운 절리면 전단강도 예측모델을 개발하고 그 신뢰성을 실험결과 및 기존 모델과 비교하여 확인한 바 있다. 본 논문에서는 개발모델을 이용하여 절리면 전단강도에 영향을 미치는 여러 요소들에 대해서 조사하고 그 결과를 비교분석 하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 암석절리면 전단강도에 영향을 미치는 요소들에 대하여 보다 자세히 파악할 수 있었다.

  • The article discusses the application of the IoT concept in the sensitive field of medical devices on the example of a developed prototype of a mechanotherapeutic simulator. Mechanotherapy is a complex of therapeutic, preventive, and restorative exercises conducted using simulators, specially designed for developing movements in individual joints. Mechanotherapy is used for the early and painless restoration of joint mobility, to prevent complications associated with prolonged immobilization of the injured area of extremities. Using the mechanotherapy simulator allows developing the joint painlessly, which accelerates the metabolism in the injured area, and soft tissues are restored to normal. The article provides information about the electronic components that ensure the wireless operation of the device and describes in detail the applied software as well as the client application for a mobile device.

Neonatal Encephalopathy Complicated with Septic Arthritis in a Foal

  • A 2-day-old Thoroughbred foal weighing 58 kg was admitted to the Equine Hospital of Korea Racing Authority (KRA) Jeju Stud Farm with clinical signs including loss of suckling behavior and barking. Neonatal encephalopathy (NE) was diagnosed based on history and typical clinical signs of NE. The foal seemed to recover in 5 days of intensive care and treatment but then was complicated with the septic arthritis of left hock joint on the $6^{th}$ day of admission. A course of aggressive systemic antimicrobial therapy with joint lavage for 8 days was conducted and the foal was fully recovered and discharged. The follow up on the patient after 2 years revealed that the patient achieved a great success as a racehorse without any unexpected sequel. This report describes a course of NE complicated with septic arthritis in a foal and the clinical outcome of the intensive care and treatment in detail. To our knowledge, this is the first report which describes NE complicated with septic arthritis in a foal in Republic of Korea.

합성접합부에서 지압내력 평가식 (Evaluation of Bearing Strength for Composite Joint)

  • Recent trends in the construction of building frame feature the increase use of composite steel concrete members functioning together in what terms of mixed structural systems. One of such systems, RCS(reinforced concrete column and steel beam) system is introduced and closely examined focusing on bearing strength of the composite joint in this paper. The main objective of this study was to develope one of details to increase bearing capacity while bearing failure is one of the two primary modes of failure in RCS system. Local bearing tests with specimens about 1/3 of the actual concrete column size were performed applying uniform load through steel plate with 100$\times$110mm size. Test results show that specimens with the bearing reinforcement detail developed in this study enhanced the bearing strength by 1.71~3.02 compared to concrete cylinder strength.

  • The aim of this study is in emphasizing the importance of the use of material and the tectonic and their influence on the spatial quality by analyzing Peter Zumthor's projects as case studies. In the research, Zumthor's choice of material, construction method (detail and structure) and the relationship with the context were analyzed in order to illustrate Zumthor's approach in making a strong tie with the locality. Three of Zumthor's projects of different sizes and programs were chosen to heighten the sensitivity of Zumthor's unique working method for each project. Peter Zumthor's architecture is neither superficial nor visually complex. On the contrary, he aims to express through the use of material and construction method, a unique relationship with the physical context, social context and most importantly the actual experience of the space itself. This study aims to contribute towards increasing the awareness and the interest in the materiality and the tectonics which are the fundamentals in spatial experience and spatial identity.

A Cooperative Jamming Based Joint Transceiver Design for Secure Communications in MIMO Interference Channels

  • In this paper, we investigate the problem of secure communications in multiple-input-multiple-output interference networks from the perspective of physical layer security. Specifically, the legitimate transmitter-receiver pairs are divided into different categories of active and inactive. To enhance the security performances of active pairs, inactive pairs serve as cooperative jammers and broadcast artificial noises to interfere with the eavesdropper. Besides, active pairs improve their own security by using joint transceivers. The encoding of active pairs and inactive pairs are designed by maximizing the difference of mean-squared errors between active pairs and the eavesdropper. In detail, the transmit precoder matrices of active pairs and inactive pairs are solved according to game theory and linear programming respectively. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has fast convergence speed, and the security performances in different scenarios are effectively improved.

  • In this study, a rigid-plastic finite element method is applied to simulating a ring rolling process of the inner race cage of a constant velocity joint for the passengers' cars. The ring rolling process is mathematically modeled by several assumptions. The defect formation at the side ends is predicted in detail. The predictions are compared with the experiments and a good agreement is observed in terms of deformed shape.
