Through Rene Girard's theory of triangle of the desire, this research investigates the mimetic nature of desire as shown in the main character of the movie The Servant. This paper analyzes the structural transformation of desire in the character, which is revealed by the process of reinterpretation via the medium change and convergence from Chunhyangjeon, a classic oral novel in Korea, to The Servant, a movie created by director Dae-woo Kim in 2010. The Servant is a meaningful research subject as the transformation of the inner desire of the character is accomplished by boldly designating Bangja, who is supposed to be a minor character, as the protagonist. In particular, Rene Girard's argument on the indirectness of desire in the theory of triangle of the desire helps understand the point where the character' inner desire, which naturally occurred in the existing narrative, transforms into the mimetic desire by an intermediary. This indirectness of the mimetic desire of the main character suggests a similarity with modern men's vanity which is offered by the capitalist era. Through this, the modern meaning of the mimetic aspect of desire as revealed by the transformation from the movie The Servant to Chunhyangjeon can be understood.
This study aimed at comprehending the meaning of sexual life for aged people, their strength of sexual desire and causes of change in their sexual life. It was another purpose to understand the extent of aged people's acknowledging the necessity of sexual consultation. This study adopted descriptive method using open-ended questionaires. The data for study was collected from 26 people over 65 years who reside in communities. It was gathered from April to June of 1998 through interview. The interviewee includes 16 males, 9 females and their average age was 73.3. 19 people among them have spouses. The conclusion of this study can be summarized as follows. 1) Attitude to sexual life: The meaning of sexual life for aged people is categorized as 'sense of duty', 'feeling of intimacy', 'basic desire', 'decrease of meaning' and 'meaningless'. 2) Sexual desire: Sexual desire of aged people is categorized as 'extinction', 'decrease', 'continuation' and 'restraint'. Restraint of sexual desire is due to social convention or the difficulty in fulfilling desire. 3) Causes of troubles in sexual life Causes which lead to troubles in sexual life of aged people can be categorized as 'physical', 'psychological' and 'social'. 'Physical' elements include 'incompetence of erection', 'decrease in duration of erection', 'increase in time needed to re-erection', 'declining of physical strength', 'decrease in vagina secretion' and 'worsening of health'. Among 'psychological' elements 'decrease of self-confidence', 'diminished concern of female aged people' are. 'Social elements' are 'absence of sexual parter', 'circumstances of living' and 'recognition of neighbor'. 4) Response to change of sexual life The reaction of aged people to change of sexual activities is classified as 'positive' and 'negative'. 5) Attitude to the consultation of sexual life of aged people The attitude to the consultation of sexual life in old age is classified as 'negative', 'doubtful' and 'positive'. This study explored the meaning which aged people in community attach to sexual life, the extent of their sexual desire, the causes of troubles in their sexual life, their emotional response to changes in sexual life, their recognition of necessity in sexual consultation. Considering the frequency of the statement, most of aged people who were interviewed thought much of sexual life and put emphasis on it. Those who said that sexual life has decreased meaning or is not important to them are few, Though aged people still maintain sexual desire, most of them have some trouble in sexual life. These trouble changes the sexual life, and results in negative feeling such as depression, renunciation and difficulty in relations. So they acknowledged that sexual consultation is necessary to them.

The strategy through visual sense is one of the ways that subject builds the outside world and communicates. The visual sense seems higher level of dependence than the other senses and contributes to intercommunication. For this reason, the desire of image dates back to primitive art and visual image(visual media and visual culture) has dialectically developed in the history of mankind. Visual subject, based on perspective of Renaissance, was moved from God to human beings. Andre Bazin's 'la genese automatique' through technical art has epochally changed the paradigm of visual art and visual culture. From primitive art to photo and film, the image, based on visual sense, has reflected human wish, appealed visual desire and led to evolution of image. In the late 20 century, without dialectical evolution of technology and culture, rapidly progressive digital image has changed social and cultural implication over rational strategy of production and distribution and it strengthened authority of image through visual approach of endless desire. The goal of this study is to analyze the value change of digital image developing a new Renaissance through production, reading, communication, and implication of evolution due to digitalized image, which has evolved as object and tool of desire.
In line with network technology development and smart device penetration, the social network service (SNS) has expanded its influence. The SNS which is a service based on communication and sharing among people, has grown based on users' voluntary engagement and participation and its influence has appeared beyond the cyberspace into the overall areas of domestic and foreign culture and society. In particular, SNS-based real-time communication during diverse disasters, can help prevent further damage. By sharing information on social donation activities and environmental campaigns, people have used SNS as a tool to change the society in a more positive way. Such series of activities functioning as a power to change the society have been made much faster and wider through the help of a new media called SNS. To better understand such trends, we are required to study about the SNS and its user relationships first. In this context, this study sought to identify the effects of people's desire to build friendships through SNS on the voluntary and society-friendly activities of people. This study considers online pro-social behavior and proposes online citizenship behavior. Citizenship behavior has been examined in organization context. That is, organizational citizenship behavior explains an employee's pro-social behavior in an organization context. Organizational citizenship behavior is characterized by the individual's helping others and promoting the functioning of the organization. By applying organizational citizenship behavior to an online context, we propose online citizenship behavior, an individual's pro-social behavior in an online context. An individual's pro-social behavior, i.e., online citizenship behavior, could be considered as a way for the better management of online community and society. It also needs to examine the development of online citizenship behavior. This study examined online citizenship behavior from the friendship desire. Because online society or community is characterized by online relationships between members, the friendship between members would lead to pro-social behavior, i.e., helping others and promoting the functioning of the online society, in such online context. This study further examines the antecedents of friendship desire in terms of SNS interactivity with its four factors. The findings based on the survey from real SNS users explain that the three factors of SNS interactivity (connectivity, enjoyment, and synchronicity) increases online friendship desire which then increases online citizenship behavior significantly. This study contributes to the literature by examining the key role of online friendship desire in leading to online citizenship behavior and identifying its antecedents in terms of SNS characteristics. The findings in this study also provide guidance on how to manage online society and how to promote the effective functioning of SNS.
Game producers provide their products and service to users. But the need and desire of users change in many ways as time goes. But game Co. Ltd is difficult because of the capital and the technical identities for providing characteristic products and service etc. Specially, the FPS game which is popular among users is developed by game Co. Ltd as the maximum reflects desire of users, but is similarly developed in other companies FPS game by similar desire. This cannot accept from desire of a certain prospective customer furthermore, decrease of a loyalty customer and a new customer, and a company is difficult of market activity. Therefore, this research is to find of user's psychological needs by FPS game user after gaming on reusing intention and switching intention factors influencing. As the result, the intention of satisfaction and re-use for FPS game is 84.9%, the conversion intention to special force game is 9.6% and the conversion intention to the game of Sudden attack is 5.5%. It shows that desire of the user for certain games is changing.

This study aims to focus on the text analysis, production methods of text, and reproduction of production methods, based on a film (2010) taken by mobile devices. As a digital film in which the objects and images have no characteristics of index, this work has the post-cinematic attributes in the aspect of consumers' recipience. This thesis paid attention to the interactions between essential change and production/consumption throughout the whole film culture in the receptive aspect. Just as the main character is a mediator-shaman in the film, this film works as a mediating position of cinematic possibility. In this film, there are different kinds of mediation such as mediation of shaman inside the text, mediation of film in the relationship between text and consumers, and consumers' instrumental desire for others'tool outside the text. Outside the text, this relevant film stimulates the imitation desire of consumer subjects as others. In other words, this is connected to the desire of consumers who aim to create a digital film through mobile devices as an author. This is connected to Simondon's thinking in which such technical objects not only generate new relationships, but also become a revolutionary seed that newly collectivizes human society.
The pattern of a dance had changed and made a progress delicately according to the change of the myth, religion, and civilization. One genre which had experienced the change for the dance is a mask dance. This dance started from wishes to adore spirit or god with imitated masks of native animals and desire to identify with nature. After the middle ages, it finally became to approach to the artistic state. In that dance, there was used a role of the head of the family which was strongly adapted to the shape of the mask as performing casts After studying symbolic characteristics of the mask dancing, we could conclude these as fol1ows.: First, Masks symbolized the totemism that adores spirit or god. This kind of whole masks were consistently used. Second, Mask was worn for expressing a dancer's cast well. This function of performing cast was in the primitive ages. However at the age which was characterized as the age of the art, the expression of using a mask became various. Third, Mask was mostly related to the head of the family and appeared with the desire to be others not themselves. Since the middle ages, this tendency continued to the modern dance. Now we can see this type at the carnival. The mask was not only an effective means of dance but also an expression of totemism, performing cast, and the head of the family. Therefore it contributed to the growth of the dance a lot.

These constructions show several phases according to the size of apartment and use of the each room. The purpose of this study was grouping students' perception types on the unexpected results in experiments, and looking into how the problem-solving experiment affected the change of these perception types. In order to answer this, interview data were analyzed in terms of perception types, and through analysis of questionnaires carried out at the beginning and the end of the semester, the change of perception types was researched. As a result, perception types of students divided into 'the difference between theory and practice,' 'inexperience of experiment skill,' and 'No reading between lines in manual.' After performing the problem-solving experiment for one semester, the perception of 'the difference between theory and practice' declined, and the desire for 'reading between lines' increased, so the problem-solving experiment influenced on the change of perception positively.
The present study selected female Japanese and Korean university students (a population that is assumed to be sensitive to the subject of fashion) as subjects. We investigated (1) their awareness of and attitudes about clothing styles, and (2) their relationships to fashion and various media. In both Japan and Korea, female students were highly interested in fashion and their major motive for adopting a given fashion was "style change" (the desire to change one's style by adopting a novel fashion) or "self-expression" (the desire to express oneself and achieve self-realization). They most frequently adopted a fashion during the acceptance phase (when the fashion has spread through the market and been shown extensively by the media). Korean students were more interested in and positive to fashion than were Japanese counterparts. Fashion magazines often served as the major source of information on clothing fashions. The frequency of buying magazines and the number of magazines bought were higher in Korea than in Japan. The time spent in reading these magazines was also longer in Korea. The frequency of buying fashion magazines correlated with the degree of interest in fashion and the time when a fashion was adopted. Students who adopted a fashion earlier tended to buy fashion magazines more frequently.
