  • Crossover design is officially except for special occasions recommended by KFDA and FDA for assessing Bioequivalence between two drugs one for reference and the other for innovator. Such design is regarded as a special case of latin square split-polt or repeated measurement design and its main difference with other designing methods is that each subject in an experiment is exposed two drugs in sequence. Therefore general statistical analysis is not suitable since the model for this experiment includes carryover effect in addition to period and sequence effect. in this paper analysis for crossover model with two drugs and its interpretation are mainly discussed and an example is given for illustration.

  • This paper suggests remote experiments using the internet for the control education. The remote experiment is composed of equipment server computers, networks accessible to internet, and real plants such as inverted pendulums, crane systems and microcontrollers. Additionally, it requires a server program that has I/O functions with plants and calculate the control, an interface program bridging between web and the server program, and the home page including the detail explanation for the usage. For effective educations, how to perform experiments and how to combine the experiment with lectures will be discussed. The simple experiments by entering a few control parameters and the complex experiments by designing overall controls, will be explained. Technologies related with the remote experiment and other possible remote experiment will be introduced. It is demonstrated that the remote experiment will be very useful, particular for control education where students have difficulties in performing the experiments for lack of experimental equipments.

  • Recently, with the ourdoor air pollution, the indoor air pollution devided into living environment and working environment are raised as the problem of indoor space. Also, the more time lived in indoor space, the larger the influence of indoor air pollution. Therefore in this study, the spatial variation of ventilation efficiency was estimated through the experiment using a physical model. The experiment using a physical model. The experiment was conducted in two category; the central zone of ventilated air flow and the corner zone. As the result of experiment, high ventilation efficiency (90$\sim$108%) was shown in the central zone of ventilated air flow. Whereas low ventilation efficiency (46$\sim$77%) was shown in the corner zone. In conclusion, when the designing of ventilation was planned, the zone showed low ventilation efficiency should be considered.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the inquiry activities of SCIIS and Korea primary school science curricular meterials and to make suggestions for the improvement of inquiry learning based on the analysis The Scientific Inquiry Evaluation Inventory (SIEI: Myung Hur, 1984) was used to evaluate the inquiry activity content of the primary school "Science, Level-6" and "SCIIS, Level-6" textbooks. The results are as follows: 1) The inquiry activities of Korean science textbooks are stressing on gathering and organizing data, but rarely require students to formulate a hypothesis, to design an experiment. 2) The SCIIS textbooks relatively tended to put more weight on interpreting/ analysing data and hypothesizing/ designing experiments. 3)The Korean science textbooks had little concern about establishing hypothesis and designing experiments, interpreting / analysing data. 4) The SCIIS textbooks require students to perform a variety of inquiry skills when compare to Korean science textbooks. 5) Competition / Cooperation Scale checks the level of competition and cooperation among student teams inherent in science curricular materials. The result from each team is incorporated into the formation of a class result. The communication is required to formulate a synthesized class response, enhances cooperation among teams. The SCIIS(84%) is the higher than Korea(50%) in cooperation scale. 6) Korean science textbooks rarely require students to discuss about experiment when compare to SCIIS textbooks. 7) Korean science textbooks provide students with both inquiry problems and experimental procedure, or including answers SCIIS textbooks provide students with both inquiry problems and experimental procedure, or problems only. 8) The Korean textbooks emphasize demonstrating or verifying of the text while the SCIlS emphasize extending the content of the text in inquiry scope scsle. The inquiry pyramid which helps analysis the inquiry activity curriculum as a whole is one of type 1- the course is centered on gathering and organizing data. The SCIIS are better than the Korean science textbook in the light of proportion of interpreting / analysing data and hypothesizing / designing experiments.

  • In this paper, the consideration factors that affect the actual driving of a rover wheel was examined based on the wheel-terrain model. For the evaluation of driving performance in a real environment, the test bed of the rover wheel consists of the driving part of the wheel and sensing part of the various parameters was designed and assembled. Using the test bed, the preliminary driving experiment concerning the slip ratio, sinkage, and friction force according to the rotational velocity and the shape of the wheel were carried out and evaluated. The wheel test bed and the experiment results are expected to contribute to finding the optimal result in the designing of the wheel shape and the planning of the driving conditions through further study.

  • In this paper, we present an experiment conducted to examine how the web site's architecture, content quantity and the user task complexity affect its usability. The experiment was performed in two phases on college students to visit existing web sites which are readily accessible via the Internet. The results of experiment show that the web site's architecture significantly affects the efficiency and the effectiveness interactively with its content quantity and the user task's complexity. On the other hand, none of the above three factors show significant effects on the satisfaction and the learnability. In particular, the web site's content quantity does not have any statistically significant effects on the satisfaction and the learnability. It implies that the factors affecting the satisfaction and the learnability are different from those affecting the efficiency and the effectiveness. The analysis reassures that it is essential to consider the context of use in designing a web site.

  • This paper suggests the Ethernet aggregation to XGMII framing procedure (EAXFP) mechanism to economically combine the traffic adaptation technology with the link aggregation method in designing 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 GbE) interfaces. This design sidesteps the data-loss issues that can result from designing an interface with only one link. The most critical issue in relation to the link aggregation interface is the algorithm used to control frame distribution between the ten ports. The proposed EAXFP mechanism offers an efficient link aggregation method as well as an efficient frame distribution algorithm, which maximize the throughout of the 10 GbE interface. In the experiment and analysis of the proposed mechanism, it was also discovered that the 10 GbE interface that uses the proposed EAXFP mechanism significantly reduced the packet loss rate. When there will be heavy traffic loads come about in the future, the proposed EAXFP mechanism assures an efficient and economical transmission performance on the router system.

  • In this paper, we have researched designing a microstrip antenna, which will be replaced for a parabolic antenna. A microstrip antenna has been used in extremely limited field, but if it is applied to practical life like a DBS receiving antenna, we expect that it will be used in various way. First of all, if we use a microstrip antenna for a DBS receiving antenna, it should be guaranteed characteristics of broadband frequency. Therefore, the goal of this paper is designing an antenna which guarantees broadband frequency band for a DBS reception. Also, experiment with Koreasat, we have researched the propriety of this antenna for the DBS receiving antenna.

  • This study concerns designing effective fuzzy inference rules, which can be used to evaluate other experiment sets for sensory tests. The number of fuzzy inference rules might be determined by the fuzzy division of variables. For the more the number of fuzzy division does not mean the more effectiveness, the number of inference rules should be reduced to improve efficiency of inference engine of expert system. This study verified that its suggested method and inference rules are effective in comparison with the existing studies.
