To this end, research methods such as literature research and content analysis through case study research were used. The results of the wedding magazine data analysis were largely classified by design element and based on such, the conclusions are as follows. First, in the analysis of silhouettes, the appearance rate of traditional items decreased over the selected period and that of modified items increased. Second, among the same colors, adjacent colors, proximity complementary colors, contrast, and other harmonies, adjacent color harmonies showed the highest rate of appearance. Third, the cases where the same materials were used for the top and bottom elements showed a similar appearance rate as those where different materials were used. It was also concluded that traditional materials are being replaced by modern materials. Fourth, regarding the arrangement of patterns, the appearance rate of the absence of patterns gradually increases. Fifth, there were more case of decorations than those of none. This study made it possible to grasp the changes in trends of modern Korean clothing from 2011 to 2020 and provide basic data for the development of the Korean clothing market industry.

  • This study examines the functionality and landscape design specifics of the outdoor space of representative commercial multi-complexes in Korea in order to overview the design trends of outdoor landscaping trends. Through surveying the composition of outdoor spaces along with their relation to the surrounding landscape, open spaces, and the neighboring communities, this paper identified the change in trends regarding the characteristics of outdoor landscape planning and acknowledged the enhanced public value of outdoor space. This study asserts that the characteristics of outdoor spaces can best be understood by examining the ways in which the outdoor space relates to adjoining commercial multi-complexes and the surrounding landscape. Focusing on the relationships that outdoor space establishes, commercial multi-complexes can be categorized as follows: in/outdoor separated type, in/outdoor semi-open type, surrounding landscape-projected type, and surrounding landscape-combined type. By studying the landscape design specifics of the outdoor space of representative cases of each type, the following has been concluded: First, the amount of outdoor space has expanded in terms of importance and function while serving to assist in various activities and participatory experiences, and no longer merely serves as a backdrop of commercial facilities. Second, with the strengthened connectivity between in/outdoor spaces, the elements of outdoor surroundings are more actively introduced indoors to improve amenities. Through directly connecting certain indoor program spaces with outdoor spaces, commercial multi-complexes tend to provide richer combined experiences. Third, with the expansion of outdoor space functionality, commercial multi-complexes are increasingly recognized as a quasi-public space, making good example of liminal space. In light of the recent case of development plans linked with public open spaces in suburban settings, commercial landscape design shows the possibility of creating an open space that can function as a center for local culture and green networks in the community.

  • This study was intended to grasp the research trends related to the spatial composition of nursing homes. The 43 research papers were collected and analyzed. They were analyzed to focus on the research methodology and research contents related to the spatial composition of nursing home. The researches on spatial composition of nursing home were categorized into 5 types ; 1) the researches on the overall spatial composition of nursing homes, 2) the ones on space planning of each room in nursing homes, 3) the ones on the space size of nursing home, 4) the ones on the spatial composition of nursing homes in foreign countries, 5) the ones on the usage conversion of small-sized hospital and closed school into nursing home. The size and layout of a bedroom and common space were the main issue. These studies have been consistently carried out since late 1990 and many researches used the method of the analysis of floor plan and the field study. However, the number of the subject nursing homes and the categorized space areas were different depending on studies. Therefore, it was difficult to synthesize these various results. In order to compare and synthesizing the various results of these many studies, the same criteria for dividing the spaces of nursing home needs to be applied. However, many results from these researches related to the space composition of nursing home would be the useful data for planning the nursing home.
