Workflow를 이용한 웹 기반 협업설계 프레임워크 (Web Based Collaborative Design Framework Via Workflow)

  • Integration of engineering information through the IT (Information Technology) is very important key during the collaboration design process. How can we realize the data efficiently in real-time at the early design stage? How can we manage to integrate the separate information made by each designer or department effectively in real time? IT global trend is the unique way of handling these complicated problems from the information inundation. This paper suggests the design process management system deduced from the analytical results considering BPM (Business Process Management) solution workflow. Workflow based design process management system can help user share and integrate the needed information at the right time through Internet. It is found that the proposed tool works well for a beam design case, and this framework can be thus further expanded for an engineering design environment smoothly.

Development of a Physics-Based Design Framework for Aircraft Design using Parametric Modeling

  • Handling constantly evolving configurations of aircraft can be inefficient and frustrating to design engineers, especially true in the early design phase when many design parameters are changeable throughout trade-off studies. In this paper, a physics-based design framework using parametric modeling is introduced, which is designated as DIAMOND/AIRCRAFT and developed for structural design of transport aircraft in the conceptual and preliminary design phase. DIAMOND/AIRCRAFT can relieve the burden of labor-intensive and time-consuming configuration changes with powerful parametric modeling techniques that can manipulate ever-changing geometric parameters for external layout of design alternatives. Furthermore, the design framework is capable of generating FE model in an automated fashion based on the internal structural layout, basically a set of design parameters describing the structural members in terms of their physical properties such as location, spacing and quantities. The design framework performs structural sizing using the FE model including both primary and secondary structural levels. This physics-based approach improves the accuracy of weight estimation significantly as compared with empirical methods. In this study, combining a physics-based model with parameter modeling techniques delivers a high-fidelity design framework, remarkably expediting otherwise slow and tedious design process of the early design phase.

  • 본 논문에서는 비즈니스 프로세스 모델의 생명주기관리를 지원하는 대표적인 지식발견기술인 프로세스 마이닝과 지식개선기술인 프로세스 리엔지니어링 접근방법을 기반으로 하는 새로운 유형의 프로세스 발견 프레임워크를 제안한다. 또한, 제안된 프레임워크를 기반으로 하는 프로세스 마이닝 시스템을 개발하고, 이를 통한 실험적 검증을 수행한다. 실험적 효과검증에 적용된 프로세스 실행 이벤트 로그를 특별히 프로세스 빅-로그(Process BIG-Logs)라고 정의하고, 분산 비즈니스 프로세스 관리 시스템의 로깅메커니즘과 연계된 조각-실행로그이력들을 클러스터링하는 전처리과정을 거친 마이닝의 입력데이터세트로 활용한다. 결과적으로, 본 논문에서는 구조적 정보제어넷기반 프로세스 마이닝 알고리즘인 ρ-알고리즘을 개선한 제어경로기반 프로세스 그룹 발견 알고리즘과 프레임워크를 설계 및 구현하고, 구현된 시스템을 이용하여 제안한 알고리즘과 프레임워크의 정확성을 실험적으로 검증한다.

  • The rapid progress of the Internet and network is affecting the engineering design environment as well as business that use Web technologies to enhance their competitive edge. In product development, experts and organization who take part in the design process are often geographically dispersed. Furthermore, different divisions and business often have heterogeneous CAD/CAE systems and methods for expressing product data, and addressing this heterogeneity creates additional costs and increases development time. Managing distributed CAD, CAE and other related systems in an organic and holistic manner from the initial stages of product development is imperative to ensure successful collaboration in the design process. Therefore, this study suggests a Web-based MDO framework to support interfacing and collective use of design and analysis tools.

독립 공리를 이용한 구조 최적화 방법론 개발 (A Structural Optimization Methodology Using the Independence Axiom)

  • The Design Axioms provide a general framework for design methodologies. The axiomatic design framework has been successfully applied to various design tasks. However, the axiomatic design has been rarely utilized in the detailed design process of structures where the optimization technology is generally carried out. The relationship between the axiomatic design and the optimization is investigated and Logical Decomposition method is developed for a systematic structural optimization. The entire optimization process is decomposed to satisfy the Independence Axiom. In the decomposition process, design variables are grouped according to sensitivities. The sensitivities are evaluated by the Analysis of Variance(ANOVA) to avoid considering only local values. The developed method is verified through examples such as the twenty -five members transmission tower and the two -bay-six-story frame.

설계초기 동선 분석을 위한 BIM기반 정량 평가지표 및 평가체계에 관한 연구 (BIM-enabled Quantitative Indicators for Analyzing Building Circulation in Early Phase of Design)

  • In order to ensure a certain level of the quality of design, standardized evaluation indicators are being used as an objective criterion. Even though the evaluation indicators are quantifiable, limitations such as inefficiency and inconsistency caused by manual task in the evaluation process still have been found. BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology that is commonly adopted in architectural design process provides an environment which enables us to figure out a building model to be interpreted quantitatively with the basis of the building information model. It supports quantitative, consistent, accurate and quick evaluations so as to improve quality of design even in the initial design phase. This paper aims to establish BIM-enabled quantitative indicators and an evaluation framework to analyze building circulation even in early phase of design. The indicators are composed of 4 types (relative distance, accessibility, simplicity, pedestrian friendliness) and 7 sub-types. The evaluation framework is the process to derive Parameterized Path Value (PPV) as weighting on each indicator. For demonstrating the scalability of the suggested evaluation indicators and the framework, the authors implemented an evaluation tool and a case study has been carried out by using an actual building remodel project.

더블 다이아몬드를 적용한 3세대 CPTED 프로세스에 관한 연구 (A Study on the 3rd Generation CPTED Process through Double Diamond)

  • 기존의 '환경설계를 통한 범죄예방(Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design; CPTED)' 이론은 실천 과정에서 미흡함이 있었고, 이 때문에 통상적인 범죄예방 디자인 프로세스에는 한계점이 존재했었다. 본 연구의 목적은 디자인학의 관점에서 제3세대 CPTED 이론적 프레임워크와 더블 다이아몬드(Double Diamond Model) 디자인 프로세스 이 두 가지의 접목을 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구는 이를 통해, 더블 다이아몬드 디자인 프로세스가 접목된 가시적인 제3세대 CPTED 디자인 프로세스를 제시하고자 했다. 또한, 각 학자별로 제3세대 이론적 프레임워크에 대해 연구한 관련 논문을 각자의 주장, 목표, 전략 방법, 거주적합성 원칙(Liveability)에 따라 명확히 정리했다. 이를 바탕으로, 영국 디자인 위원회의 혁신을 위한 프레임워크를 결합하여, 제3세대 이론적 프레임워크와 더블 다이아몬드 디자인 프로세스의 접목에 명확한 기준과 기초를 마련했다. 또한, 단계적인 아웃풋과 활동 방식으로 양자 간의 접목에 대한 구체적 내용을 분석하고 설명했다. 연구의 의의는 더블 다이아몬드 디자인 프로세스와 가시적인 제3세대 CPTED 디자인 프로세스의 접목을 통해 거주민들의 자아 가치 실현 행동을 유도하고 이로 인한 참여(Engagement)를 돕는 것이다. 또한, CPTED 프로젝트에 참여한 디자인 관련 종사자 및 기타 분야 종사자의 협업에 참고가 될 수 있는 연구 결과를 도출하는 것이다.

  • This paper presents an idea and framework to automate a full cycle business process management and re-engineering by integrating traditional business process management systems, process mining, data mining, machine learning, and simulation. We build our framework on the cloud-based platform such that various data sources can be incorporated. We design our systems to be extensible so that not only beneficial for practitioners of BPM, but also for researchers. Our framework can be used as a test bed for researchers without the complication of system integration. The automation of redesigning phase and selecting a baseline process model for deployment are the two main contributions of this study. In the redesigning phase, we deal with both the analysis of the existing process model and what-if analysis on how to improve the process at the same time, Additionally, improving a business process can be applied in a case by case basis that needs a lot of trial and error and huge data. In selecting the baseline process model, we need to compare many probable routes of business execution and calculate the most efficient one in respect to production cost and execution time. We also discuss the challenges and limitation of the framework, including the systems adoptability, technical difficulties and human factors.

  • Missile system. which requires high speed/high maneuverability is getting more important as a defensive weapon system. Integrated design environment which includes all related resources during the missile development process, is a very useful development tool, Therefor the design framework can perform the operation analysis and utilize design information for the efficient missile design. For this purpose, various analysis computer codes under heterogeneous platforms and operating systems, the database, the optimization module, and Ideas a commercial CAD are integrated using distributed. middleware. and the complicated GUI design has been made for the specific missile system design. Under the various constraint, maximize missile range and loadfactor with missile design computer framework.
