Driving simulators have been developed for evaluating users' reaction to various driving situations. Dynamic simulators have, however, limitations of the motion feedback in space. Therefore, this paper presents a driving simulator and suggests a human sensibility ergonomics (kansei engineering) method to be used in improving sense of motion through a vehicle simulator. Human sensibility ergonomics(kansei engineering) is defined as translating technology of the customer' feeling about a new product into design elements. Constituents of the simulator were defined and the virtual world was generated by the object modeling technique. Senses perceived were classified into feelings of velocity, acceleration, rotation, and vibration based on the human sensibility associated with driving. And the most frequent verbal expressions were collected from 17 male subjects to define complex human sensibility.

The purpose of this study is to find out how the aesthetic values and characters of the Avant-garde fashion through semantics analysis of Avant-garde experiments in the early 20th century. Inner expressions of Avant-garde fashion in future dynamism, alien-hostile, and surreal-experimentalism are as followings (1) Reject tradition of existing fashion concept, (2) Dismantle costume material and inter-text characteristics in fashion field, (3) Laugh at material civilization and elite fashion, (4) Pursue primitive and fundamental sensibility on non-civilized world (5) Express human estrangement due to material civilization, (6) Remove the barrier of fashion between luxury and cheap ones, (7) Time, space and purpose is mixed, (8) Open concept as space structure independent of human body, (9) Complicatedness, ambiguity and expression of irregularity as changeableness, (10) Dismantle concept of beauty and ugliness. As you see, fashion design in modern Avan-garde is pursuing newness as beauty of open concept, rejecting all modern tradition and allowing extremity such as experimental, illogic, unreasonable and non-formatted expressions.

This study discusses the feed dog feeding mechanism of an industrial lock stitch sewing machine, which is a good example to study a machine kinematics. The feed dog feeding mechanism makes the fabrics directly be fed by an elliptic motion of the feed dog that is moved by a rotation of the top shaft and controlled by the feeding control mechanism. This study makes mathematical expressions of machine's motion in the feed dog feeding mechanism. Thus, the motions of this mechanism are characterized, namely how an elliptic motion of the feed dog is affected by the feeding control mechanism. Therefore, the above mathematical expressions may be a basis for the new design of the feed dog feeding mechanism and may be adapted to analysis. Development of the similar feed dog feeding mechanism can be applied to other type sewing machine.

In sewing, fabrics is fed by an elliptic motion of the feed dog. The feeding control mechanism controls an elliptic motion of the feed dog, finally, controls stitch spacings and feeding directions of fabrics. 본 논문에서는 RDL/PAL 인터페이스와 사건표현식을 지원하는 성능 감시 도구를 설계하였다. RDL/PAL은 성능 감시 도구의 사건 추적층과 성능 분석층간의 인터페이스를 제공하고, 임의의 추적 양식에 접근하여 사건 데이터를 추출해낼 수 있다. 또한, 사건표현식은 일반적인 프로그래밍 언어와 유사한 형태로 구성되어 프로그래머가 원하는 성능 분석 결과를 쉽게 얻을 수 있다. 프로그래머는 본 논문에서 구현한 성능 감시 도구를 이용하여 추적 양식에 관계없이 다양한 성능 분석을 할 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있다.

본 논문에서는 나눗셈 행렬을 이용하여 부울 대입식을 산출하는 논리합성 방법을 제안한다. 최적화하고자하는 2개의 논리식들로부터 대수 나눗셈에 의한 행렬을 만들고 부울 공리와 리터럴 추가를 통해 부울 나눗셈 행렬로 확장을 한다. 부울 나눗셈 행렬에 리터럴을 추가하여 확장된 부울 나눗셈 행렬을 만들고, 원소들을 커버링하여 부울대입식을 산출한다. 실험결과 여러 벤치마크 회로에 대하여 제안한 방법이 기존 합성도구보다 리터럴 개수를 줄일 수 있음을 보였다.

Postmodern designers freely used historical motifs as symbolic expressions or ornamentations. Historical references often became a key to express their ideal against modern standardization. Among the historical references, Art Deco style was frequently appreciated by postmodern furniture designers from the 1960s throughout postmodern era. This study is Intended to explore the way of incorporating Art Deco in postmodern furniture design. Rational Italian designers in Anti-design Movement began to adapt historical motifs and Pop, and this spread out throughout to other Postmodern designers. The research explored how Art Deco and postmodern design are related and what the examples of Art Deco revival in the postmodern era we. In this sense the research mainly covered from the exhibition catalogs from the 1960s to 1990s. As a result of stylistic, symbolic, methodological analysis, Art Deco revival in postmodern era was an essential method to express anti-modern characteristics of postmodernism. In postmodern design, Art Deco was one of historical styles that surpass the limitation o( modernism, at the same time decorative style that express the postmodern ideal.

As individual's experiences become more diverse and abundant, demands for design are becoming stronger and the propensity to consume is becoming more diverse. In such an age of pluralization, while hotels displaying distinct design characteristics are spreading rapidly like a trend studies regarding expressive characteristics of such design are still insufficient so the accurate understanding and analysis of hotel guest room designs is needed. To this end, this study analyzes and studies the characteristics and trends of design expressions, surveying domestic cases using hotel guest rooms, which have begun to diversify through the rise of design hotels in Korea, as subjects.

This study is about objectified spatial composition. The Interior Design field has grown and established its major trends dependent upon other related field of study. With this perspective in mind, esthetics on Interior Design has to be treated in similar manner. In modem architects or fine artists have defined the terminology 'objectification' theoretical principle where by unable to distinguish between 'object's type' and 'objects', Presently, the term 'objectified' became a trend word. In order to confront misconception of the idea of 'objectification', some people define as reflection of this complex society. There are five types in expression of objectified spatial composition in Interior Design. Which are free form spatial composition through artistry of artists, fantastic spatial composition by polysemous collision, symbolic spatial composition from the metaphorical of form, aggregate spatial composition by geometric collision and geometric superimposition, and cultural spatial composition. Therefore, this study aims to help understanding of tendency in various space expressions in Interior Design through searching how to express type of objectified spatial composition in Interior Design from 2000 through 2005.

Design piracy is the unauthorized copying of another designer or manufacturer's work. While controversial, it is an institutionalized practice in the apparel industry. The purpose of this study was to better understand student perceptions of design piracy, particularly as it is one they will encounter in their future careers. The authors interviewed twenty-four apparel design students at a land-grant Midwestern University. Data was analyzed using theme analysis. Three themes developed including: 1) Expressions of cognitive dissonance in statements expressing enjoyment of the practice of design piracy as a consumer; yet disappointment when (and if) their own design work was copied. 2) Concerns regarding the definition of originality and the logistics of enforcing a plan against design piracy. 3) Differences of opinion regarding the prevalence of the practice, particularly if the students had industry experience or not. Advice for professors from students regarding piracy is included.
