  • Currently, many universities offer a variety of programs for students to improve their knowledge and expertise for their career development. Because each program's success depends on students' active participation and passion, the university makes a lot of efforts to motivate them enhance the loyalty toward the school. Several universities in Korea operate their own loyalty program based on their students' activities. However, we need to develop a distinctive loyalty program to suit universities' education environment because the purpose of education is different from existing commercial purpose. This study shows the process that improves problems of loyalty programs that are operated by the K University and suggests new ideas based on design thinking methods. Also, this study includes a process that changes standardized and involuntary loyalty program to interesting loyalty program that induces students' voluntary participation through combining with gamification concept. The method that we suggest in this study is expected to extend various fields.

  • As value engineering in design phase is big in the effect of application, analysis by systematic procedures is required. The most important part is the stage of creation for making of idea. It takes much time for us to make good idea involving the brainstorming and delphi in recent making idea. It is expected because most experts in participating in design value engineering is to approach with less effective method. In this study we suggest that application of ASIT(Advanced Systematic Inventive Thinking) is the method as way of creative idea making. ASIT is expected to perform Idea making with systematic procedure and to create effective idea in short time.

  • This study aims to suggest an instructional design to improve CT(Computational Thinking) skills in terms of problem solving. CT can be defined as a thought processes for computer-based problem solving. Examining the related CT concepts in the general problem solving process can be helpful for learners to understand CT. For this, this study selects the key elements of CT through literature review, describes how the elements are related to each phrase of the problem solving process, and explores cognitive aspects of the CT elements. In addition, this study describes learning activities and learning assessments of the CT elements according to each phrase of problem solving process and suggests a basic instructional design framework for CT in view of problem solving.

  • The main purpose of computing education is to teach the Computational Thinking which is based on Abstraction, Automation and etc. In Elementary and Secondary Education, programming activity is provided for the purpose of learning algorithm design. In this paper, the achievements of learning concepts of algorithm design are analyzed on the learner's characteristics in the programming activities using the Tangible programming tools for elementary and secondary school students. As a result, the achievement did not show the difference on grades but the usability showed the difference on genders.

  • After 20th century, The using of data tend to important in a sphere of architecture. The recent European including MVRDV, Rem Koolhaas, Van Verkel and Zaha Hadid tend to the their own design strategy based on the objective data. This architectural design method leads to make new paradigm of contemporary architecture. For the purpose of the understanding a part of new architecture paradigm(datascping), I will analyze the relation of Thing system and Formation system in 36 works of MVRDV from 1992 to 2006. As a results are as follows. The purpose The results of this research are as follows: First, The physical and social elements(Thinking system) are density of site, networking, lighting & vista, micro-climate, energy, noise & vibration, life style, city, communication and variety. Second, The Formation system is layering & stacking, open & close, folding & extending and eco-friendly design. Finally, the major matrix of MVRDV's works is pragmatic and systematic approach to the lighting, climate and variety of community.

The Effect of Design-Oriented Model (NDIS) based on Computational Thinking in SW Education (SW 교육에서의 컴퓨팅 사고력 기반 디자인 중심 모형(NDIS)의 효과분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the design - oriented model (NDIS) for enhancing learner's computing thinking in SW education. NDIS is a project-based learning model in which learners find real-life problems, analyze their needs, and design and implement them. In order to verify the effectiveness of NDIS, we experimented with middle level G education university students who had previously experienced SW education class. The traditional project model was applied to the control group and the NDIS model based on CT was applied to the experimental group. The experimental group showed a higher CT narrative performance evaluation score than the comparative group, which showed a significant difference. In addition, students showed a positive perception of self-confidence and CT improvement in solving real-life problems using computing.

  • This study was conducted with preliminary to develop the game contents for designing of sexual violence prevention serious game for school teachers. It is proposed to use of sexual violence prevention serious game with the analysis of the audience and a new approach. For this purpose, Gordon method and Service Blueprint method were applied in design thinking. The results from analyzing the audiences were to reflect the components of corresponding with the goal of the serious game, and interest and motivation for continuing education. Also, it was proposed to give the certificate of education participation to teachers attended in the serious game in-service education.

  • This research suggests a new idea conception method for creative thinking to develop a creative fashion design. The common characteristics of the design area, the unique characteristics of the fashion design, and idea conception method for creative thinking were analyzed and reviewed to develop a creative fashion design research model. Based on this, the fashion design research model was planned through an attempt to graft a new idea conception method on an existing method to utilize the advantage of it suitable for fashion design characteristics and designated as an idea conception method for a creative fashion design research model. We developed 10 designs with a full awareness of the research model steps; subsequently, the effectiveness was confirmed through the evaluation phase of the research model that utilized the idea conception method. This research has significance in that the research model utilizing idea conception method that rarely addressed in precedent research was developed with the idea conception method as a research subject by drawing the characteristics for an idea conception of fashion design and new approach was tried that emphasized the advantages of the existing method.

  • The ability of problem-solving, communicating, and collaborating with computing technology is considered as core competencies for future society. In order to improve those competences, the algorithm and programming ability was set as the important goal of the Information curriculum of Korea. Algorithmic thinking is a key component of computing thinking, and it is known to play a very important role in designing and programming algorithms. It is used to set goals of Information curriculum and to measure student achievement. Therefore, in this study, developed a test to measure algorithmic thinking of students in elementary, middle and high schools, and applied the test to measure the levels of algorithmic thinking. As a result of the analysis, the higher the school level, the better the algorithmic thinking. And no difference was found between genders. This study is expected to provide a guide for constructing measures or setting the difficulty level for algorithmic thinking.
