토목공사용 4D 시스템의 효율적인 자연지형 표현을 위한 멀티텍스처링 기법 적용기술 개발 (Application Technology of Multi-texturing for Effective Representation of Natural Ground on the 4D System for Civil Engineering Projects)

  • 4D-CAD 시스템에 대한 공사관리 도구로서의 활용가능성이 제기되기 시작한 것은 1990년대 후반이후의 일이다. 현재까지 몇몇 4D 시스템틀이 개발 $\cdot$ 적용되고는 있으나, 상용화 및 보편화를 위한 해결되어야 할 다수의 문제점들을 가지고 있다. 특히 자연지형과 계획시설물의 형상을 함께 표현하여야 하는 토목시설물에 대한 4D 시스템 구현에 있어서는 더 많은 해결되어야할 과제들이 존재하고 있다. 토목시설물에 대한 4D 시스템 구현에 있어서의 주요문제점 중 하나는 계획 시설물의 3차원 형상을 그와 접하고 있는 자연지형과 함께 표현할 수 있는 3D 모델을 생성하는 작업량의 방대성이다. 현재까지 이러한 작업은 대부분 수작업으로 진행되어 왔으나, 본 연구에서는 수치지도로부터 얻어지는 지형 삼각망과 계획단면으로부터 생성될 수 있는 계획삼각망을 자동으로 합성할 수 있는 방법론을 제안하며, 더 나아가 양삼각망 간의 합성과정을 생략하고 4D 모델을 구현학 수 있는 방안으로서 VRML의 멀티텍스처링 (multi-texturing) 기법을 적용하는 방법론을 각각 제안하고, 실제 4D 시스템의 구성기능으로서 적용하였다. 이러한 3D 모델 생성의 간편화 기법은 토목시설물에 대한 4D 시스템의 대중화 및 보편화를 위한 핵심기술로서 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

국내 건축분야 학과의 현황과 컴퓨터 과목에 대한 조사연구 (A Study on the Curriculum and Computer Program Subjects in Department of Architecture-related)

  • According to current digital and information society, architecture related departments in universities give and educate computer courses to train top-level human resources suiting the needs of the time. The aim of this study is to curriculum of architecture related departments and to use the references for curriculum organization by understanding computer courses for architecture related departments. The results are as follows: (1) There are 100 departments (28.2%) in the field of architecture and 130 departments including an academic system that is the most departments. Also, there are 86 departments (39.8%) in the field of architecture engineering and 117 departments including an academic system. There are 77 departments in the field of interior architecture, which contain 48 departments (62.3%) of two- or three-year bachelor course college. (2) Department in the field of architecture opens a program study course in the second year of the program that is the most courses had been opened. First, most departments selected an order of learning a structure/detail construction techniques of architecture and design skills such as a foundation system and expression of the structure by hand in the first grade and processing it using a computer in the second grade. (3) BIM was opened in only three departments of 31 departments surveyed and was opened in a senior class. The reasons of still lack of BIM are the compatibility deficit of partners such as building structure, building equipment, securing lecturer, and still the dominant point of CAD in the field. (4) Six departments of 31 departments surveyed did not open a program study course as a major. That is to say, it is learned in a basic course or basic liberal arts education requirements (information area) of each department, or in an own program of each department. (5) The program study is only a means to create architectural drawings in department of the field of architecture. Thus, we should remember not only the drawing through the program but also drawing up a floor plan after understanding of methods such as constructional methods, detail drawing, and expression.

CONNECTING TECHNOLOGY, INDUSTRY AND RESEARCH: A VERTICAL INTEGRAL PROJECT COURSE FOR BIM EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES

  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) is utilizing CAD technology in a way that ultimately ties all the components of a building together as objects imbedded with information, and has been changing the way we design and build over the last 20-30 years. In Polytechnic Institute of NYU, there are four BIM courses offered which provide students with different levels of knowledge regarding BIM Technique, BIM Standards, BIM Guideline and Roadmap for Private and Public Implementation, BIM Application in Real Projects, the Cooperation of BIM and IPD for Public Works in New York City. With advanced BIM technology, BIM's integration into the construction process and its incorporation into project delivery systems, especially Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) are the bridges between technology, industry and research. This paper presents an integrated BIM curriculum with three modules: 1) BIM functions and Bid Preparation; 2) Time-Cost Trade-off Analysis; and 3) Problems Solving in BIM/IPD Environment. In this project-based curriculum developed by the common efforts of academia, public agency and industry, the objectives are: (1) to provide the information and skills needed to successfully implement BIM into the construction phase; (2) to identify BIM's role in construction and the project delivery system; (3) to develop a module in conjunction with leading BIM into project delivery system, particularly coordination between BIM and IPD; (4) to connect technology and research into industry. The course assessment was conducted and the results indicate that it is a successful reform in construction management education.

3차원 배근설계 및 배근시공도 작성 자동화 시스템 개발 (Development of 3-Dimensional Rebar Detail Design and Placing Drawing System)

  • 철근 공사에는 원청 건설사, 골조 전문건설사, 배근시공도 작성자, 철근 가공장, 감독/감리사, 구조설계자 등 다수의 업무 주체가 참여하고 있으나 이들간의 합리적인 협업이 이루어질 수 있는 업무 프로세스가 구축되어 있지 않아 비효율을 초래할 가능성이 높다. 특히 철근공사는 RC골조 품질에 결정적 영향을 주는 업무이지만 참여 주체간 원활한 협업 부재로 인하여 골조의 품질 저하, 생산성 감소, 공기 지연 등 많은 문제를 야기하고 있다. 그러므로 RC골조공사는 혁신이 매우 시급한 분야라 하겠다. 최근 BIM은 건설산업의 기술 환경 패러다임을 전환시키는 기술로 인식되고 확산되고 있다. 그런데 3차원 모델 상에서 방대한 양의 철근상세정보를 모델링하기 위해서는 많은 시간과 노력이 소요되고, 모델링 후에도 데이터량의 방대함으로 인하여 프로그램 성능이 원활하게 발현되지 않기에 BIM 기술의 확산에도 불구하고 배근 설계와 시공과 관련하여 BIM 기술이 활용되고 있지 않은 상황이다. 본 기술은 3차원 BIM 환경 하에서 골조상세정보 모델링과 배근상세설계, 정밀물량산출 및 공사관리까지를 지원하는 Rebar HUB를 개발하여 RC 골조 설계 및 공사 프로세스를 합리화할 수 있는 실용적 기술 개발을 목표로 하였다.

소재에 따른 스커트의 Lay Mapping 효과에 관한 연구 - 4D-Box 디자인 프로그램을 이용하여 - (A Study on the Effect of Material Choice on the Lay Mapping of Skirts - Using 4D-Box Design Program -)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the correlation between the density, the Count and the width of cross section in 2D function through comparison the difference of simulated fabrics based on the various yarns, and to compare the 3D effect by Lay Mapping of diverse fabrics. The method of research is to weave the eight fabrics composed of cotton, linen, worsted, slender yarn, loop, $m{\acute{e}}lange$, woolen, and yarn twist with Hi-Tex program, and to practice 3D mapping with Hi-Print program. As a mapping object, the flared skirt which is a basic costume item is selected. As a result, the thickness of yarn in CAD system was fixed by the width of cross section rather than Count, especially by the width of core section not including the fluff section. The type of yarn such as cotton yarn, linen yarn, and worsted had effect on the shape of texture, but had few interrelations with dimension. In the case of 3D mapping, the textural characteristic and the dimension were presented precisely, whereas there were several limitations. First, the thickness of tissue has not been represented. Secondly, the effect of texture such as fuzzy look, loop was not expressed on the skirt outline including sideline and hemline. Thirdly, the difference of silhouette was not distinct. The common point in 2D and 3D operations is that the representation of texture is relatively accurate and that is difficult to measure and manifest of thickness, the side. For more professional digitalizing in fashion industry, above all in the domain of 3D, it must be supplement the subdivided and differentiated mapping process according to the texture, deviating from the existing analog-based organization which has to designate the form and silhouette suitable for tissue.

Virtual Fitting Program을 활용한 남성복 기본 팬츠 패턴개발 연구 - 남성복 교재를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Development of Basic Pants Pattern for Men Using Virtual Fitting Program - Focused on the Menswear Textbook -)

  • The study is designed to develop a educational basic pants patterns for men, and has been analyzed focusing on the university textbooks published since 2000. We also used CAD programs and virtual fitting programs to analyze the fitness of pants. To do this purpose, after choosing 7 Men's Wear textbooks, selected patterns were drawn and measured using PAD system and were compared and analyzed. Also, the appearance evaluation was examined through virtual fitting and then evaluated 21 male and female university students in their 20s. After supplementing the problems of the patterns in the existing textbooks, a pattern was developed and verified the fitness of the developed pattern. The results of comparing the proposed measurement items of each textbook for the pants pattern indicated a significant differences in terms of hip circumference of each pattern, which were between 96~105cm. A comparison of the drafting methods of each pattern showed the drafting methods for the crotch length, the front crotch extension, the back crotch extension were the difference. The results of appearance evaluation were pattern E presented the slimmest fit and pattern D presented the loosest fit. As a result of analysis of pants pattern, a waist circumference 82cm, a hip circumference 98cm, a crotch length 24cm, a pants length 104cm and a ham line width 46cm were most suitable. The development pattern was evaluated as superior to the existing pattern through the appearance evaluation of the virtual fitting.

Influence of abutment height and convergence angle on the retrievability of cement-retained implant prostheses with a lingual slot

  • PURPOSE. Cement-retained implant prostheses can lack proper retrievability during repair, and residual cement can cause peri-implantitis. The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the influence of abutment height and convergence angle on the retrievability of cement-retained implant prostheses with lingual slots, known as retrievable cement-type slots (RCS). MATERIALS AND METHODS. We fabricated six types of titanium abutments (10 of each type) with two different heights (4 mm and 6 mm), three different convergence angles ($8^{\circ}$, $10^{\circ}$, and $12^{\circ}$), a sloped shoulder margin (0.6 mm depth), a rectangular shape ($6mm{\times}6.5mm$) with rounded edges, and a rectangular ledge ($2mm{\times}1mm$) for the RCS. One monolithic zirconia crown was fabricated for each abutment using a dental computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing system. The abutments and crowns were permanently cemented together with dual-curing resin cement, followed by 24 hours in demineralized water at room temperature. Using a custom-made device with a slot driver and torque gauge, we recorded the torque ($N{\cdot}cm$) required to remove the crowns. Statistical analysis was conducted using multiple regression analysis and Mann-Whitney U tests (${\alpha}=.05$). RESULTS. Removal torques significantly decreased as convergence angles increased. Multiple regression analysis showed no significant interaction between the abutment height and the convergence angle (Durbin-Watson ratio: 2.186). CONCLUSION. Within the limitations of this in vitro study, we suggest that the retrievability of cement-retained implant prostheses with RCS can be maintained by adjusting the abutment height and convergence angle, even when they are permanently cemented together.

도로분야 BIM 적용을 위한 IFC 변환기 프로토타입 시스템 개발 (Development of IFC Converter Prototype for Applying BIM in the Road Field)

  • IFC converters and viewers, applicable in the construction field, are being actively developed while, in the civil engineering field, IFC schemata are being developed. To prove the IFC schema grammatically, the existing ISO 10303 30s' pre-processors and post-processors may be used. However, to visually prove the IFC model, the existing commercial 3D modeling software should be converted into the IFC schema of civil engineering field, and a viewer is needed to view it. Thus, this study developed a IFC converter and viewer prototype system to apply BIM in the road field. To express the road line, LandXML was analyzed, and IFC suitable for expressing shapes in the road field was designed. Also, an IFC suitable for bridges with focus on representative bridge structures such as abuts, piers and decks was designed. Further, a converter was developed using AutoCAD's Civil3D and Revit's 3rdp party tools, and software was also developed designed to combine each converted IFC model into one IFC. In addition, a viewer designed to view IFC in the road field was developed to prove the converted IFC. Eight major verification and examination items were selected and used in testing the converted model, and it was confirmed that the viewer normally viewed the IFC schema in the road field. The proposed IFC converter is expected to be used as a visual IFC verification tool in the road field.

B-rep의 다중해상도를 구현하는 통합 시스템 개발 (An Integrated Approach to Realize Multi-resolution of B-rep Model)

  • It is becoming a common trend that many designers work on a very complex assembly together in a collaborative environment. In this environment, every designer should be able to see the whole assembly in a full detail or in a rough shape at least. Even though the hardware technology is being improved very rapidly, it is very difficult to display a very complex assembly at a speed to allow smooth interactions for designers. This problem could be solved if a designer could manipulate his portion of the assembly in a full resolution while the remaining portion of the assembly is displayed in a rough resolution. It is also desired that the remaining portion is converted to the full resolution when needed. To realize this environment, the capabilities to simplify the portions of an assembly and to reset to the original resolution should be added to the current CAD systems. Thus operators realizing multi-resolution on B-rep are proposed in this paper. They are: wrap-around, smooth-out, and thinning operator. Through appropriately applying these operators sequentially, an assembly model of any desired resolution can be easily generated. Of course, the assembly can go back to the finer resolution. In this paper, the data structures and the processes to realize these operators are described and a prototype modeling system with these operators is also demonstrated.

주얼리용 마스터패턴의 쾌속제작에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Rapid Manufacturing for Jewelry Master Patterns)

  • 주얼리 제조 공정중 마스터패턴 제조 공정은 전체 제조원가의 20%를 차지하기 때문에 매우 중요한 공정이다. 지금까지는 수작업으로 왁스 패턴을 제작하고 이를 이용하여 석고형을 만들고 석고형으로 마스터 패턴을 제작하는 복잡한 공정을 거쳐 제작하였다. 본 연구는 쾌속조형기를 이용하여 듀라폼 재질의 몰드를 만들고 저융점합금을 이용하여 마스터패턴을 직접 제작하는 새로운 공정을 개발하였다. 듀라폰의 용융진이 190℃ 이므로 용융점 70℃의 Pb-Sn-Bi-Cd 계의 저융점 합금을 주물재료로 이용하여 마스터패턴을 제작하였다.
