Design and Implementation of the Dual Motor Drive AGV Controller Using CPLD (CPLD를 이용한 이륜 속도차방식 AGV 제어기 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a hard- wired AGV controller using CPLD(Complex Programmable Logic Device). The proposed controller manages a guidance equipment, motor and I/O sequence controller for a self-control traveling. Compared with a conventional $\mu$-processor, the CPLD controller using a hard-wired control method can reduce a difficult programming process. Also, the total costs of production are reduced, such as development time, product's size and difficulty because memory, combinational logic and sequential logics are implemented by CPLD. The Controller designed using behavioral description method with VHDL and was synthesized by MAX+Plus II of the ALTERA co. We implemented controller using EPF10K10LC84-4 device.

WSDL and CORBA IDL (WSDL과 CORBA IDL)

  • CORBA has been a popular middleware, but recently Web Services has been emerging as a promising web middleware since it uses Internet established standards such as URL, HTTP, XML, and etc. CORBA uses IDL for describing CORBA object interface and Web Services uses WSDL for its description. Thus, in order to port or integrate CORBA objects into Web Services, one needs to understand the relationship between CORBA IDL and WSDL. In this paper, we analyze IDL and WSDL, and compare between two. It turns out that there exists a direct mapping between two, and that understanding operational environments and logic of two technologies is much more important in converting or integrating CORBA objects into Web services successfully.

  • This paper presents a novel fuzzy logic based control method for shunt active filters. Since the fuzzy sets are based on linguistic description, therefore they don't need to the mathematical model of the investigated systems. The proposed method is very suitable to nonlinear and time variant loads. The controller is robust, reliable and it has a smooth response. Also transient response of method is much better than the other classical methods. The simulation results confirm the suitable performance of the filter using this control method.

  • 본 논문에서는 추론규칙을 통한 온톨로지 구축과 이를 이용한 지능형 여행 추천 시스템 적용 방법에 대해 제안하고자 한다. 사용자 프로파일과 질의어 분석을 통한 사용자 성향 분석은 메타데이터 파일로 작성되며, 지능형 여행 추천을 위한 여행 온톨로지 및 Description Logic을 기반으로 생성된 추론 규칙은 정보 저장소에 저장한다. 온톨로지를 이용한 정보 검색은 다양하고 복잡한 조건에서 검색이 가능하였고, 인스턴스 추가시 각 클래스의 재생성 과정 없이 규칙의 설정만으로 쉽게 인스턴스를 추가할 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, we have space vector PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) circuits on the FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Arry) chip designed by VHDL(Very high speed integrated circuit Hardware Description Language). This circuit parts was required at controlling the AC servo motor system and should have been designed with many discrete digital logics. In the result of this study, peripheral circuits are to be simple and the designed logic terms are robust and precise. Because of it's easy verification and implementation, we could deduced that the customize FPGA chip show better performance than that of circuit modules parts constituted of discrete IC.

  • In this paper, we present an analysis of the IS-95 authentication protocol for the Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA) mobile communication network. We propose a mutual authentication protocol, AP-6, to improve the security and correctness. Formal description and verification of the proposed AP-6 are also presented on the basis of the formal logic. It is shown that the proposed AP-6 is more secure and correct than the IS-95 authentication protocol.

  • The web ontology language(OWL) has been used by ontology designers to construct ontology. In order to derive hidden information(concept subsumption, concept satisfiability and realization) of OWL ontology, a number of OWL reasoners have been introduced. But most reasoners simply report these information without process for any arbitrary entailment and unsatisfiable concept derived from a OWL ontologies. In this paper, we propose Minimum Expression Axiom Set(MEXS) detection and storing for debugging unsatisfiable concepts in ontology. In order to detect MEXS, we need to find axiom to cause inconsistency in ontology. Therefore, our work focused on two key aspects: given a inconsistency ontology, identifying the roots of axioms to occur unsatisfiable and derived axioms from among them; and extracting MEXS. Our results can be applicable to all application, which is at the basis of the description logic.

FBDtoVHDL: An Automatic Translation from FBD into VHDL for FPGA Development (FBDtoVHDL: FPGA 개발을 위한 FBD에서 VHDL로의 자동 변환)

  • The PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) has been widely used for the development of digital control system of nuclear power plant. The PLC has high maintenance costs and increasing complexity, hence, FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) based digital control system has been considered as an alternative. However, the development of FPGA based digital control system is a challenge for PLC engineers because they are required to learn about new language to develop FPGA and knowledge and know-how acquired in the development of PLC is not transferable. In this study, we proposed and implemented an automatic translation tool for translation of FBD (Function Block Diagram), a programming language of PLC software, into VHDL (VHSIC Hardware Description Language). Automatically translating the FBD to VHDL using this tool allows PLC engineers to develop FPGA without any knowledge of the hardware description language.

  • Actually a diffusion of a semantic web application and utilization are situations insufficient extremely. Technology most important in semantic web application is construction of the ontology which contents itself with characteristics of semantic web. Proposed a suitable a method of building web ontology for characteristics or semantic web and web ontology as we compared the existing ontology construction ana ontology construction techniques proposed for web ontology construction, and we analyzed. And modeling old ontology to bases to description logic and the any axiom rule that used an expression way of SWRL, and established inference-based web ontology according to proposed ways. Verified performance of ontology established through ontology inference experiment. Also established an web ontology-based intelligence image retrieval system, to experiment systems for performance evaluation of established web ontology, and present an example of implementation of a semantic web application and utilization. Demonstrated excellence of a semantic web application to be based on ontology through inference experiment of an experiment system.

PLD implementation of the N-D digital filter with VHDL (VHDL을 이용한 다차원 디지털 필터의 PLD 구현)

  • The advanced semiconductor technology and electronic design automation(EDA) tools make it possible to implement the system on the programmable logic devices. The electronic design method is also changing from schematic capture to hardware description language. In this paper, I present the architecture of multi-dimensional digital filter which can be efficiently implemented on PLDs. This is based on the former research results which are called algorithm decomposition technique. Algorithm decomposition technique is used to obtain the computational primitive from the state space equations of the multi-dimensional digital filtering algorithm. The obtained computational primitive is designed with VHDL. This can be used to implement the filtering system as a component. The designed filtering system is implemented on the PLD. Therefore, the filter can be upgradable on system. It is greatly reduced the time-to-market time of the system that is based on the multi-dimensional filter.
