The interrelation into nucleation and thermodynamic parameters of solutions has been established by plotting of various dependencies: the enthalpy of dissolution, solubility product and super-solubility on ionic salt radii and also the extent of deviation from an ideal Debye -Huckel model of electrolyte solution on solubility product. The possible methods of perfect crystal growth from aqueous solution have been found a priori by separating of known set of pair values of solubility and super-solubility into no less than six-nine characteristic and distinctive sub-sets.

The state assignment for a finite state machine greatly affects the delay, area, and testabilities of the sequential circuits. In order to minimize the dependencies among state variables, therefore possibly to reduce the length and number of feedback cycles, a new state assignment technique based on m-block partition is introduced in this paper. After the completion of state assignment and logic synthesis, partial scan design is performed to choose minimal number of scan flip-flops. Experiment shows drastic improvement in testabilities while preserving low area and delay overhead.

Precursor analysis is widely used in the nuclear industry to judge the significance of events relevant to safety. However, in case of events that may damage equipment through effects that are not ordinary functional dependencies, the analysis may not always fully appreciate the potential for further evolution of the event. For fires, which are one class of such events, this paper discusses modelling challenges that need to be overcome when performing a probabilistic precursor analysis. The events used to analyze are selected from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Fire Incidents Records Exchange (FIRE) Database.

The problem of clustering stock-keeping-units to assign storage locations is treated. Firstly, a construction heuristic algorithm is developed to cluster items considering demand dependencies(correlated assignment) for the case that the maximum number or the maximum volume(weight) of items per tray is constrained by the capacity of tray. Secondly, inventory-related cost as well as material handling cost is considered to determine the space requirement and the storage location of each item simultaneously.

In this research, we concentrate on the effects of dependencies in arrival processes on queueing measures. In particular, we use a specific form of arrival process which has the advantage of allowing us to change dependency properties without at the same time changing one dimensional distributional conditions. It is shown that the mean queue length can be made arbitrarily large with the same interarrival distributions and the same service time distributions with fixed smaller than one traffic intensity.

Quantitative analysis of dynamic false contours on PDP is essential to evaluate the performance of algorithms for false contour reduction. It also serves as an optimization criterion for selecting the subfield pattern. In this paper, a color difference in uniform color space is defined as a new measure for dynamic false contours. Unlike the measures in previous works, it accounts for the channel dependencies among the RGB color channels.

This paper presents an effective synchronization algorithm. It is different from the existing synchronization methods by inserting appropriate synchronization instructions between statements according to different kinds of data dependencies. The overhead caused by too many synchronization instructions in a loop can be a critical problem. Synchronization optimization is a method which discriminates and eliminates the redundant synchronization instructions in a loop. In this paper, a new synchronization optimization algorithm is developed, and performance analysis using simulation on the UNIX operating system is carried out.

We have prepared FePtCu L10 bit patterned media, of which magnetic properties and microstructural details are obtained by direct measurement and observations. The patterning process on the continuous film induced a drastic changes in the coercivity, SFD, and angular dependencies. The origin of the changes are explained by micromagnetic simulations with the finite element models including the details of the microstructures.

This study proposes a novel deep neural network model that can accurately detect objects and their relationships in an image and represent them as a scene graph. The proposed model utilizes several multimodal features, including linguistic features and visual context features, to accurately detect objects and relationships. In addition, in the proposed model, context features are embedded using graph neural networks to depict the dependencies between two related objects in the context feature vector. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed model through comparative experiments using the Visual Genome benchmark dataset.
