Objectives: To validate the role of a new information and communication technology platform that we created for the betterment of the oral health of persons with disabilities and for providing appropriate health care services. Methods: A Delphi survey was conducted among 16 people in various professions, including academia, government agencies, and dentistry, to evaluate the validity of the information and communication technology platform. Moreover, platform satisfaction was evaluated using a user experience questionnaire among 200 people, including persons with disabilities, parents, and public institutions. Results: Experts in consensus indicated a high validity for the categories of service provider (CV=0.29, CVR=0.69), service target (CV=0.29, CVR=0.38), service contests (CV=0.27, CVR=0.63), and financial support (CV=0.30, CVR=0.63) in our information and communication technology platform. In addition, information from questionnaires on user experience and communication technology satisfaction analysis showed that both users and providers were highly satisfied with the platform. Conclusions: The provision of oral health services based on the new information and communication technology platform has numerous advantages, in addition to providing adequate oral health care for the disabled. Furthermore, the social safety net for improved oral health may be further strengthened.

The purpose of the study is exploring the relationship among patient perceived quality of dental care, satisfaction, and royalty in dental clinics and hospitals. The observation of the study is outpatient visiting dental clinics and hospitals located in Seoul and Kyung-Gi Do area, and surveyed the outpatients. The contents of the survey are consisted with questions including quality of care perceived by the patients, costumer satisfaction, and royalty, and measurement for each question is using five point Likert scale. According to result of bi-variate analysis, there was the significant relationship among specialized care, value of the care, and kindness in quality of dental services, level of care in dentists significantly influenced on costumer satisfaction and costumer royalty, and there was the significant relationship between costumer satisfaction and royalty. According to result of regression analysis on the costumer satisfaction, the costumer satisfaction positively related with the convenience of facility, specialized care, value of care, patient age, number of visit, and spend time for treatment, and housewives and self-employees were likely to satisfy on care than regular employees. By result of full regression model and reduced model on costumer royalty, satisfaction could explain 86% on the costumer royalty such as re-visit and promoting other people, and increase of explain power is not significant when other independent variables joined model (full model). Considering efficiency of model, costumer royalty could be explained by satisfaction only rather than other independent variables used. Finally, This study shows that the social-demographic variables of patient influenced the patient satisfaction, and the patient satisfaction influenced patient royalty directly.
Purpose: This aim of this paper is to research the influence of customer satisfaction and reutilization on Dental hospitals and clinics of medical service quality. Methods: The study examines 140 Patients who received treatment in Daegu from 1 July 2012 to 30 July 2012. The methods of research were used to factor analysis, reliability test using Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ factor, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and spss/win18.0. Results: The factor of quality of care has the highest impact on customer satisfaction. the influence of reutilization depends on the highest reliability and the physical environment was significant. Conclusion: To improve customer satisfaction and reutilization is required to maintenance of hospital facilities, medical services mind and quality of care. The medical service providers are important to develop patient education programs, self-development and customer satisfaction training techniques.
Since 2013, adults aged over 20 can receive national health insurance scaling once a year in South Korea. In this study, we analyzed the usage status of national health insurance care service for periodontal disease in 2010-2018 by using Healthcare big data of the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service. The increase rate of the dental care users was very high at 7.8 and 11.2% in 2013 and 2014, respectively. These are higher than the increase rate of all medical institution users, which is between -1.7 and 3.7%. In 2017, the rate of dental use was 44.4%, which has increased more than 10% compared to 2012. Percent receiver of national health insurance scaling was 19.5% in 2017. The 20s had the highest rate of 23.2%. The rate decreased with age. Based on these results, it can be evaluated that the expansion of national health insurance coverage for scaling improves accessibility to dental care. A more long-term assessment of the effect of periodic dental examination and scaling on reducing the prevalence of periodontal disease is needed. National health insurance coverage should be extended to oral hygiene education and supportive periodontal therapy in order to prevent periodontal disease.
In order to provide basic information to help dental medical service with supplying gratifying service for patients. the survey is conducted on the patients who frequently visited dental clinics located in the areas such as Seoul, Kyoungi, and Incheon from May of 2006 to June. The survey results are as following : 1. Judged from the factors to make patients choose one dental clinic over another. the low cost of treatment accounts for 32.8%. and followed by physician's academic background / career experiences with 20.5%. In case of recommending to their acquaintances, physician's proficiency in treatment is ranked high as 56.7%. 2. For most desirable facilities for dental hospitals. the results indicate that cutting-edge medical equipment holds 46.7% and followed by a comfortable waiting room with 32.8%. 3. Examined the questions of what patients are most satisfied with dental clinics. 43.1% of respondents point out kind and detailed explanation. 14.1% also responds to constant care after the treatment. This result suggests that after-care and detailed explanation also play an important role in dental care as well as the treatment itself. 4. For desirable services in the waiting room. 28.5% of the respondents choose a selection of magazines and newspaper and 18.7% say that they want to converse with the staff. As to how long can wait with patience. 38.2% of the participants agree on as long as 20 minutes. 5. Among unsatisfactory sources against dental clinics while visiting, the high cost of the treatment is scored high as 34.1% and followed by a long waiting time with 22.1%. The figure points to the fact that dental medical clinics should consider these two factors to solve in the future. In case where patients find the treatment discontent and they are asked what to do, 36.4% of the respondents respond that they go to a different hospital without saying anything. As to the enquiry about how the complains should be dealt, 46.% wishes that the matter should be taken care immediately upon complaining, 21.8% suggests that they like to feel understood and acceptable when presenting complaints.
This study had collected 275 dental hygienists working in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyungnam area, in order to investigate burnout and health promoting behaviors of dental hygienists and find relationship between these. A survey was conducted from December 14 through December 30, 2009, by using structured, self-administered questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS 12.0 program. The obtained results were as follows; 1. The average health promoting behavior points are 3.12, and we could gain each point as follows; self-esteem 3.79, interpersonal support 3.70, and nutritional care 3.18. 2. All the factors of health promoting behavior had a negative impact on their burnout. Those who were less health promoting behavior sought burnout more often. 3. The burnout was under the greatest influence of the exercise, followed by stress management, interpersonal support, nutritional care.
Objectives : The purpose of this study on the oral health behavior of foreign workers and dental care in the community is to identify actual oral health conditions of immigrated labors, to promote their oral health and to gather basic data providing them with proper oral health services Methods : Based on previous studies, The researchers wrote their own surveys in English, in Vietnamnese, in Tagalogue, in Thai. Making questions on the paper to 114 foreign workers in Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do were surveyed. Using the program SPSS 17.0 for Windows, the collected data were analyzed. The frequency analysis, the chi-square analysis and the correlation analysis was performed to recognize their relevance between the oral health status and the actual oral care and the subjective perception of oral health. Results : General characteristics of the foreign workers is the overwhelming majority of male demographic 78.9%. By age, 20-29 years of age accounted for 50%, and duration of stay in the city is less than 3-5 years to 68.4%, It was most common. The percentage going to the dentist when teeth hurt is although 56 percent. But the ratio to endure the pain without going to the dentist, was 44%. The main reason to not go to the dentist was the time 55.2% and cost 11.9%. A mere 9.6% of respondents knew about the free dental care and used. 67.5% of them was not aware of the free dental care agency, 59.6% were keen to use the free care. However, 40.4% did not want a free dental care because they did not have the time(26.3%), the distance is far away(3.5%), and difficulties in communication(3.5%) and the other(66.7%). Conclusions : The major percentage of the other reason(66.7%) why they did not want to go to free dental service, must be specifically identified. For the activation of free dental services, the active support of central and local governments is needed. By focusing on health-related departments of the University in the community, it is necessary to operate the program of the oral health care for foreign workers.
Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of musculoskeletal symptoms and job stress on the fatigability of 268 dental health care workers in Busan. Methods : A structured, self-administered questionnaire was given from Oct 1 through Oct 10, 2015. The collected data were analyzed with the SPSS 18.0 program. Results : The results were as follows. First, for musculoskeletal symptoms, job stress and fatigability, the highest scores were for low back pain (3.23), business stress (2.95) and physical fatigability (3.32), respectively. Second, physical fatigability increased with increasing myofascial pain syndrome, low back pain and business stress. Mental fatigability increased with increasing business stress, human relationships and social activities and decreasing age. Conclusions : Taking the above into consideration, this thesis suggests that there is definite influence from musculoskeletal symptoms and job stress factors on physical and mental fatigability.
This study was designed to analyze the effect of servicescape and human service quality on patients' internal response and their behavioral intention in dental care organizations. Self-administered survey questionnaires with structured instruments were developed, and a total of 226 responses were used for statistical analyses using SPSS Windows version 18.0 program and AMOS 18.0 program. Major findings of the study are as follows. First, among other servicescape components, air condition environment was found to have a positive effect on patients' cognitive and physiological responses, while signals and symbols had a positive effect on cognitive and emotional responses. Second, the competence, among other factors of the human service quality, had positive influence on cognitive and emotional responses, while customer understanding affected positively on emotional response. Third, none of the servicescape components showed a direct effect on patients' behavioral intention, but their influence was mediated by internal responses. However, customer understanding, among other human service quality factors, had a direct effect on patients' behavioral intention. Fourth, emotional response, among other internal response factors, proved to have positive influence on behavioral intention. Results from this study suggest that dental care service providers can increase their competitiveness and customer satisfaction by understanding and improving the most important areas of servicescape and human service quality.
It follows in increase of the old age population and the loss of teeth increases, also the supplement prosthetics treatment which is caused by loss of teeth is various and it develops and the dentistry implant demand is increasing. This study enforced a self-administered survey with 197 dental personnels employed in dental hospitals, dental clinics from August 15, 2007, to September 15, in the area of Daejeon. It's ultimately intended to serve as a basis for the preparation of more effective, appropriate dental implants education programs for personnels, who take a crucial part in dental implants operation, provide better dental services to patients who are in need of dental implants operation. As the result, the study got the following conclusion. 1. The population sociological feature of dental hospital and dental clinic showed that significant differences of dental service career. Dental service career of dental personnels shows; below 3 years 43.1%, 4~6 years 35.3%, more than 7 years 21.6% in dental hospitals, below 3 years 29.5%, 4~6 years 28.1%, more than 7 years 42.5% in dental clinics(p=0.027). 2. The average score of personnels knowledge in dental implants was 3.67point, from analyzing the knowledge on dental implants of dental personnels from dental health-care settings, dental personnels employed in dental hospitals scored relatively higher than in dental clinics(p=0.129). Dental personnels with 4~6 years of experience scored the highest(p=0.002). 3. The average score of dental personnels compliance in dental implants was 3.92point, from analyzing the compliance of dental implants of dental personnels from dental health-care settings, dental personnels employed in dental hospitals scored relatively higher than in dental clinics(p=0.006). Dental personnels with 4~6 years of experience scored the highest(p=0.707). 4. The contingency coefficient between dental implants general knowledge and the general compliance(r=0.233, p=0.001), operation knowledge and operation compliance(r=0.332, p=0.000), maintenance knowledge and maintenance compliance(r=0.236, p=0.001). 5. Recently dental implants is emerging as one of the important medical services in the dental treatment sector. From analyzing the compliance of dental implants of dental personnels in dental health-care settings, dental personnels employed in dental hospitals scored relatively higher than in dental clinics. Consequently, the effort of the dentist and the dental personnels demanded to be earnestly to improves the difference of the knowledge and compliance against the dental implants of the dental personnels in dental health-care settings, it is thought that with reinforcement of effective role share and professionalism to success of dental implants, more system and the specialty dental implants education which is standardized continuously must be provided to all dental personnels.
