자동차 튜닝의 심리에 관한 연구 (Study on the psychology of car tuning)

  • This paper aimed at analyzing the psychology of the people who tunes the car from the point of view of the theory of unconscious desire. The theory of unconscious desire to approach human psychology has two features. One point is that it can be applied only to human beings in the sense that animals does not have the unconscious. The other is that we can categorize some types of underlying unconscious desire instead of seeing human desire as the sundry desires according to the specific target. In this paper, we looked at the characteristics of each type of data obtained through interviews for people to tune the car from the point of view of the theory of unconscious desire.

현대건축 현상의 존재론적 해석 - 20세기말 아방가르드를 중심으로 - (Ontological Analysis on the Phenomenon of Contemporary Architecture - Focused on the Avant-garde in the End of the 20th Century -)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the features of the avant-garde architecture in the end of the 20th Century based on the ontology as a metalanguage. In view of the results so for achieved, it is possible to say that the thought of becoming, topology, rhizome thought and the Deleuze's concepts of the fold and the event as ever-changing and evolving at any given time are found in the avant-garde architecture, and the introduction of ontological thought into architectural design encourage hopes for a more natural and existential quality in architecture. However, the avant-garde architecture in the end of the 20th century disclosed the limitation in the architectural expression of ontological thought due to the lack of fully understand on ontology. In conclusion, the ontological approach in architecture offers a new morphological methodology and a new way of programming considering the existential aspect of space through the bricoleur's means leaving the ontological meaning of architecture itself.

  • Pluralistic and diverse values exist in the realm of post modernism society. In this context, one particular outlook does not have the same meaning across the whole society. The creation and sharing of a new meaning do not necessarily need the consent of every member of the society. There have been a few attempts to delve into the relationship between sociocultural phenomenon and fashion trends in the pluralistic cultures. However, there has been little research on the theoretical framework in order to analyze a pluralistic phenomenon itself. The purpose of this study is to provide the theoretical paradigms to analyze and interpret various pluralistic phenomena in postmodernism fashion. Theories developed by Gilles Deleuze have been utilized to analyze and interpret the duct tape fashion which is in vogue among the young generation in the USA. The analysis based on the paradigm of Gilles indicates that the duct tape fashion shows pluralistic features of as in the other postmodern cultural activities.

  • In the middle of that a information form is being formlessly changed to diverse deirections, a design and a space as physical consequence show not only a allegory but mutually relational charicteristic meaning a nonboundary and nonlinear form by development of modem digital culture. Following development of the modern digital culture, a design and space which are physical results, show a point of correlative specificity, allegory, nonlinear and nonboundary, Not only a design and culture but also various circles handle a hypertext as a representative pivot in this change. this has same contexts as rhizome possessing a asignifiante and nomadic characteristic said by Felix Guattari and Gilles Deleuze. An ideal of rhizome space shows historical decisions, unexpected accidents, a concepts, an individual. a group, social compositions above an contrifugal exterior force, This study examines into surroundings designed by a hypertext and rhizome through a case accordingly and infers an ultramodern characteristic in conventional precognition with synthesizing a peculiarity of the digital generation space.

  • The innovative designer and structural engineer, Cecil Balmond is co-representative of Ove Arup and has been co-worked with world-famous architects and has been influenced so much on architectural thinking. These days he extended his career as an architect. Moreover, he has been noticed through a few publishing by his own architectural thinking. He is describing the World with his unique insight based on structural perspectives, which have much common grounds with that of Deulezian philosophy. It is especially valuable to study the relationship between his thinking of Interior-Exterior Ring and Deleuzian thinking of Virtual Circulation for understanding more clearly about structural and compositional principle how world is composed of. The Ring is circulationg from interior to exterior which is similar with Deleuzian concept that the Smooth and the Striated is circulationg mutually. Seamless flight line would be ceaseless creative virtual process to actuality.

사건과 건축공간의 관계성 비교 연구 (Comparative Study of Interrelationship between Events and Architectural Space)

  • An event as philosophical thought is expanded throughout our society and affected largely an architectural field as well as aesthetics. Paying attention to this fact, this study is to relate the event to an architectural space and to find an interrelationship between them. Since Martin Heidegger who started to be regarded the event as a subject of thought, many philosophers revealed different thoughts about it. Architecture works of Louis I. Kahn, Peter Zumthor, Steven Holl, Bernard Tschumi, Rem Koolhaas who had the influences from the thoughts of Martin Heidegger, M. Merleau-Ponty, Jacques Derrida, Gilles Deleuze, are analyzed and compared their features. The reason why this relationship has become the subject of research is because the event can be confirmed to be connected with an architectural thoughts by correlating with aesthetic texts. Throughout this study, each architect, who is affected from philosophers, has different characters as they have different thoughts about events. This study is expected to be used as an literature data of intertextuality of philosophy and architecture.

  • One of frequent phenomena in the contemporary cultural field is the alternative or accompanying interweaving phenomena which happens in the relative connection of A, B, and C. The power of interweaving mixture is one of energies which unify the contemporary cultural phenomena, and it appears as a major phenomena in the recent popular digital architecture. In this study, the mixture, shape, and contents in the contemporary space design is analyzed as a point of view of Post-Structuralism. Namely, the digital part and non-digital part of alternative and circulating existence in the space are classified and the interweaving phenomena in the contemporary space design are proved. It is studied for digital part and physical space to conjunct the hole space and smooth space of Deleuze as part of interweaving phenomena. It is clear that the compatible concept of the hole space and smooth space is crossed complexly or is coexisting in circulating and extending, and is showed as interweaving phenomena in one space.

Review on Historical Assessment and Perception of Dziga Vertov

  • In 1920s, Soviet silent films enjoyed unprecedentedly great prosperity throughout world film history. Particularly, Dziga Vertov could develop 'montage' in collaboration with Sergei Eisenstein and thereby could work as the engines behind development and leap of Soviet films toward 'new concepts' of 'new films' worldwide. However, Vertov's original reputations - the best film theorist and avant-gardist as well as great cineaste in his contemporary age - have been misunderstood or underestimated, so that he has been still misestimated or distorted as radical formalist and documentary propagandist. In regard to these points, this study aims to take Gilles Deleuze's modal esthetic approaches to further considering and historically re-highlighting D. Vertov's film theories that are based on the principle of 'film-reality' and the concept of 'Life As It Is' according to 'kino-eye' method and 'interval' theory as a part of futurism and constructivism breaking down any attribute of traditional narrative films.

  • In this study of the documentation process, a toddler's behavior was interpreted through use of text and picture both of which are subjective representations of reality. Two teachers deconstructed and reconstructed their knowledge of a photographed toddler by first referring to scientific theories from a text. They used these theories to analyze markings drawn on paper by the toddler in the photograph. But, the theories from the text were transformed into a new theory in the documentation process of reflecting on the history of markings in different contexts. Thus, the semiotics of pictures and texts changed in addition to change in meanings. This demonstrates the variability of signs, as in the concept of "rhizome" (Deleuze and Guattari, 1999).

  • 의미 있는 '하나의 경험'은 성장을 가져온다. 존 듀이는 '하나의 경험'을 하나의 예술작품이 만족스럽게 완결에 이르게 되고, 계속해서 고민하던 어떤 문제에 대한 해결책이 마침내 도출되는 것이라 말한다. 독서를 하거나 책을 쓰는 것 등도 언젠가는 종결에 이르게 되는데, 이러한 경우의 종결은 단순히 중지(cessation)가 아닌 하나의 과정의 결과인 것이다. 이러한 경험은 하나의 통일체(a whole)이며 그것 자체의 개별화된 특질과 자급자족(self-sufficiency)을 갖추고 있다. 바로 이러한 특징을 갖는 경험을 '하나의 경험'이라고 부르는 것이다. 학교 현장의 교육과정에서 '하나의 경험'이 되는 배움이란 교육적인 의미와 가치로서 인정되고 평생 기억에 남는 교육 경험 활동이라 할 수 있다. 학습자 입장의 배움, 자발성에 근거한 들뢰즈의 '배움' 이론이 '하나의 경험'으로 기억되는 의미 있는 가치로의 가능성을 탐구하고자 한다.
