Four hundred and eighty broiler chicks of both sexes were obtained from commercial hatchery (Hubbard) and raised on floor pens. All chicks were allowed free access to food from 0 to 7 and 20 to 56 days of age. At 7 days of age, all broilers were weighed individually, and divided into five groups as follows: 1. feed ad libitum as the control; 2. allowed free access to food 3 days and starved 1 day ($3{\times}1$); 3. allowed free access to food 2 days and starved 1 day ($2{\times}1$); 4. allowed free access to food 1 day and starved 1 days ($1{\times}1$) and; 5. allowed free access to food 2 days and starved 2 days ($2{\times}2$). Broilers were restricted for 12 days (d 7 through 17) of a 56-day trial. Broilers were fed a commercial starter diet (crude protein 23.8% and ME 3,070 kcal/kg) for 21 days, and commercial finisher diet (crude protein 20% and ME 3,160 kcal/kg) from 22 to 56 days of age. Although there was compensatory growth in some groups, (the $1{\times}1$ female group, and the $3{\times}1$ and $2{\times}1$ male grous), its level was not sufficient to achieve normal body weight at market age. There was sexual dimorphism for accelerated growth as well as differences in the ability to achieve a complete compensation of growth to the weight, feed conversion ratio, and body composition of ad libitum chicks. Early feed restriction could be used to reduce production cost because of the lower fed conversion ratio, mortality rate and the amount of starter diet consumed by broilers. The response of chicks to early feed restriction might depend on the degree of feed restriction, the method of feed restriction, duration of feed restriction, and sexes.
Effect of covering various levels(0, 1, 3, 5 and 7% per Chinese radish weight) of bamboo(Pseudosasa japonica Makino) leaves on the surface of Dongchimi was studied in the course of fermenting at 1$0^{\circ}C$ up to 75 days. Physicochemical, microbiogical, and sensory characteristics of Dongchimi were analyzed at regular intervals of 5 to 7 days during fermentation. Both the degree of pH drop from the initial 6.47~6.54and increase total acid content from the initial 0.004%, with the accumulation of organic acids tended to be more gradual depending upon the amounts of bamboo leaves covered. The increases of total solid content and turbidity were also suppressed in similar patterns, notably after 13 days of fermentation. The growth of total bacteria(1.5$\times$10$^4$cfu/ml, initial)was partly inhibited while that of lactic acid bacteria(1.8$\times$10$^4$cfu/ml, initial)was favorably encouraged by the presence of bamboo leaves. As a result of sensory evaluation, Dong-chimi covered with 1 and 3% bamboo leaves on showed the higher scores significantly(p<0.05, p<0.01, p<0.001) in overall acceptability till 39 days. But after 61 days, those covered with 3 and 5% bamboo leaves were rather preferable than any other one.

General characteristics have been analyzed by practical number and percentage. and job satisfaction degree and organizational commitment have been analyzed by average evaluation marks and standard deviation and the relation between general characteristics and job satisfaction degree and the relation between general characteristics and organizational commitment have been analyzed by t-test or F-test(ANOVA) according to the characteristics of variable. Correlations between job satisfaction degree and organizational commitment have been analyzed by Pearson's Correlation Coefficient. The followings are the summaries of the results of the study: 1. The degree of job satisfaction of the object was 3.26 in average on the basic of 5 marks and worth area showed highest by 3.78 while wage and welfare 2.70 the lowest when analyzed 11 areas. 2. Organizational commitment of the object showed 3.24 in average on the basic of 5 marks. 3. According to the age. marital status. educational background. employment experience. experience in current department. position. types of work. department of work. wage, satisfaction about the current department, whether they wish to be transferred to the other department and whether they are transferred or not. there were significant differences in the characters of job satisfaction degree when general characteristics and job satisfaction degree have been examined. 4. According to the age. marital status. religion. educational background. employment history. position and experience in current department. types of work. department of work. wage. satisfaction about the department they are assigned. whether they wish to be transferred. Whether they are transferred or not and number of being transferred to the other department. there have been significant differences in the characters of organizational commitment when general characteristics and organizational commitment have been examined relatively. 5. Correlations between the degree of job satisfaction and organizational commitment has shown the degree of organizational commitment higher respectively when the degree of job satisfaction was higher. the degree of sanitation factor was higher and the degree of motive factor was higher (r=.73799. r=.6826. r=.6570). 6. The result of the analysis of correlations between organizational commitment and the turnover intension and job related action has shown comparatively high reverse correlations (r=.6375) between organizational commitment and turnover intension and low reverse correlations(r=.3253) between organizational commitment and job related action. Based on the above results. the study of the ways of increasing the degree of satisfaction about wage. welfare. position and stability and the supervision of the senior which showed the low degree of job satisfaction should be conducted and through the management of the degree of job satisfaction which affects to the organizational commitment, I would like to propose that the ways of increasing the sense of commitment to the hospital organization of the nurses should be studied.

Corrosion of steel reinforcment is the most significant factor of deterioration in reinforced concrete structures. Chloride ion is considered one of the most common culprits on the corrosion of steels in concrete. This study is effect of cement hydraulic degree on the chloride binding in hardened cement pastes. With increasing the cement hydration, cement products such as CSH and Ca(OH)2 were increased, and the part of added chloride were binded with them. With respect to A type, in first, the additional contents of chloride of 27.08mM/L in pore solution were reduced as 4.3mM/L at 3 days, 4.0mM/L at 7 days, 3.6mM/L at 28 days.
Some biological phenomena of Anagrus incarnatus Haliday, an egg parasitoid of planthopper, were studied under three different constant temperatures. Duration from egg to adult emergence of the parasitoid from the BPH eggs were 21.5, 13.6 and 10.6 days under $20^{\circ}C$, $25^{\circ}C$ and $30^{\circ}C$, respectively. Rate of the development was highly correlated with temperature. The critical temperature was estimated as $10.0^{\circ}C$ and the effective degree days was 210.3 day-degree. Durations for the development of A. incarnatus under 25$\pm$$1^{\circ}C$ (16L : 8D) were 12.4, 12.5 and 12.1 days from eggs of N. lugens, S. furcifera and L. striatellus, respectively. Duration of the development of A. incarnatus from 1, 3, 5, 7 days old BPH eggs were 12.5, 12.1, 12.9 days, respectively. The average longevity of adult was 5.3 days under 25$\pm$$1^{\circ}C$. Number of the ovarian and practically oviposited eggs were 34.8$\pm$28 and 28.3$\pm$0., respectively. Female A. incarnatus laid most of the eggs within few days after the emergence ; over 60% within 24 hours, nearly 90% upto the 2nd day, and nearly 100% upto the 3rd day.
It is known that growth factors function as potent biologic mediators regulating numerous activities of wound healing via cell proliferation, migration and extracellular matrix formation and they also promote periodontal regeneration. But, method of growth factor application is controversial yet. So purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of demineralized root surface as one of method of growth factor application. The ginigival fibroblasts were primary cultured and fifth or sixth subpassages were used in these experiments. In first experiment, root surface blocks demineralized with 100mg/ml tetracycline for 5 minutes and pH 1 citric acid for 3 minutes(experimental groups) and nonteminerilized root surface blocks (control groups) were placed in 100ng/ml PDGF-BB for 5 minutes. Then the cells were seeded on each root surface blocks and cultured for 6, 24, 48, 72 hours. In second experiment, root surface blocks deminerilized with tetracycline and citric acid and nondemineralized root surface blocks were placed in 200ng/ml PDGF-BB for 5 minutes and another non-demineralized root surfcae blocks were placed in DMEM without PDGF-BB. At 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 days, the cells were seeded in 24-well plate and using of each eluent, cultured for 72 hours. The results of the four determinants were presented as mean and S.D.. The results were as follows : The attachment and proliferation of human gingival fibroblast on root surface were more increased when PDGF-BB was applicated on root surfrace demineralized with tetracycline or citric acid than non-demineralized root surface. And, in comparision tetracycline with citric acid, there were more attachment and proliferation of human gingival fibroblast on root surface demineralized with tetracycline than citric acid, and proliferation of human gingival fibroblast on demineralized root surface was increased time dependently 1 day to 3 days. In second experiment using eluent, proliferation of human gingival fibroblast was more increased to 6 days when human gingival fibroblast was cultured in eluent that PDGF-BB was applicated on demineralized root surface than two control groups, and degree of proliferation was decreased time dependently 1 day to 6 days. Proliferation of human gingival fibroblast cultured in eluent without PDGF-BB was constant 1 day to 6 days. After 6 days, degree of proliferation of human gingival fibroblast was similar in four groups. This means that release duration of PDGF-BB from demineralized root surface is 6 days. And in comparision tetracycline with citric acid, there was more proliferation of human gingival fibroblast in tetracycline-treated group than citric acid. In conclusion, demineralized root surface as primary site for PDGF-BB application, especially demineralized with tetracycline has important roles in attachment and proliferation of human gingival fibroblast, and may be useful clinical applications in periodontal regenerative procedures.

A set of scripts for GrADS (Grid Analysis and Display System) and R was implemented to produce agricultural climate information using the future climate scenarios based on the Representative Concentration Pathways. The GrADS script was used to calculate agricultural climate indices including growing degree days and cooling degree days. The script generated agricultural climate maps of these indices, which are compatible with common Geographic Information System (GIS) applications. To perform a statistical analysis using the agricultural climate maps, a script for R, which is open source statistical software, was used. Because a large number of spatial climate data were produced, parallel processing packages such as SNOW, doSNOW, and foreach were used to perform a simple statistical analysis in the R script. The parallel script of R had speedup on workstations with multi-CPU cores.
In this paper, the effect of the irradiation of the median-frequency of ultrasonic wave on the aqueous solution have been investigated. In addition, the decomposition ability of radical species was observed using phytoncide oil of 0.1 wt %. By observing the degree of decomposition while maintaining magnetic stirring, the unirradiated aqueous solution maintained turbid condition and the particle size of the oil was the same as the initial size. On the other hand, the irradiated aqueous solution presented that the transparency degree became good after 3 days and became to the same as the original purified water after one week. The particle size of the after 3 days was about 0.1 to $0.5{\mu}m$. From these results it could be demonstrated that when a medium frequency (about 400 kHz) is applied to the aqueous solution, decomposition ability of radical species are formed and the medium frequency irradiation system can be possible to purify the turbid aqueous solution.

We investigated the prolongation of freshness and quality during storage of muskmelons harvested at different times and treated with 1-MCP. The weight loss rate increased in all samples as the storage period was extended, although the weight loss of 1-MCP-treated samples was lower than that of controls, regardless of the degree of maturation. Additionally, the hardness of 1-MCP-treated samples was higher than that of controls, again independent of maturation stage. Specifically, 1-MCP treatment delayed softening of muskmelons, as 1-MCP- treated samples showed a high hardness value after 22 days of storage, whereas hardness of control samples decreased rapidly after 10 days. The soluble solid level in muskmelons harvested 92 days after planting was $14.3^{\circ}$ Brix, whereas that of fruit harvested after 90 days was $12.7^{\circ}$ Brix. There was no significant difference in the acidity of 1-MCP-treated samples and controls after 7 days of storage, although the acidity of 1-MCP-treated fruit was greater than that of controls after 13 days, regardless of the degree of maturation. The L-values (lightness) of 1-MCP treated samples were higher than those of controls for the first 10 days of storage, but the reverse was true after 13 days of storage. The b-values (yellowness) were high in control fruits during the initial period of storage, but greater in 1-MCP treated samples after 19 days of storage. The respiration rate of 1-MCP treated samples was lower than that of controls, regardless of the degree of maturation. Sensory evaluation revealed that the texture of control fruit decreased as storage time rose, whereas that of 1-MCP-treated samples did not fall until 28 or 34 days of storage (p<0.05). Overall acceptability based on a marketable score of 5 points showed that 1-MCP-treated muskmelons scored higher than controls, and remained fresher on storage.
