In the latest eras, there has been a significant amount of development and research is done on the usage of Deep Learning (DL) for speech emotion recognition (SER) based on Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). These techniques are usually focused on utilizing CNN for an application associated with emotion recognition. Moreover, numerous mechanisms are deliberated that is based on deep learning, meanwhile, it's important in the SER-based human-computer interaction (HCI) applications. Associating with other methods, the methods created by DL are presenting quite motivating results in many fields including automatic speech recognition. Hence, it appeals to a lot of studies and investigations. In this article, a review with evaluations is illustrated on the improvements that happened in the SER domain though likewise arguing the existing studies that are existence SER based on DL and CNN methods.

Neural Networks are widely used for huge variety of tasks solution. Machine Learning methods are used also for signal and time series analysis, including electrocardiograms. Contemporary wearable devices, both medical and non-medical type like smart watch, allow to gather the data in real time uninterruptedly. This allows us to transfer these data for analysis or make an analysis on the device, and thus provide preliminary diagnosis, or at least fix some serious deviations. Different methods are being used for this kind of analysis, ranging from medical-oriented using distinctive features of the signal to machine learning and deep learning approaches. Here we will demonstrate a neural network-based approach to this task by building an ensemble of 1D CNN classifiers and a final classifier of selection using logistic regression, random forest or support vector machine, and make the conclusions of the comparison with other approaches.

As the network goes deep into all aspects of people's lives, the number and the complexity of network traffic is increasing, and traffic classification becomes more and more important. How to classify them effectively is an important prerequisite for network management and planning, and ensuring network security. With the continuous development of deep learning, more and more traffic classification begins to use it as the main method, which achieves better results than traditional classification methods. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive review of network traffic classification based on deep learning. Firstly, we introduce the research background and progress of network traffic classification. Then, we summarize and compare traffic classification based on deep learning such as stack autoencoder, one-dimensional convolution neural network, two-dimensional convolution neural network, three-dimensional convolution neural network, long short-term memory network and Deep Belief Networks. In addition, we compare traffic classification based on deep learning with other methods such as based on port number, deep packets detection and machine learning. Finally, the future research directions of network traffic classification based on deep learning are prospected.

Graphical user interface(GUI) has a very important role to interact with software users. However, designing and coding of GUI are tedious and pain taking processes. In many studies, the researchers are trying to convert GUI elements or widgets to code or describe formally their structures by help of domain knowledge of stochastic methods. In this paper, we propose the GUI elements detection approach based on object detection strategy using deep neural networks(DNN). Object detection with DNN is the approach that integrates localization and classification techniques. From the experimental result, if we selected the appropriate object detection model, the results can be used for automatic code generation from the sketch or capture images. The successful GUI elements detection can describe the objects as hierarchical structures of elements and transform their information to appropriate code by object description translator that will be studied at future.
Cell segmentation and counting represent one of the most important tasks required in order to provide an exhaustive understanding of biological images. Conventional features suffer the lack of spatial consistency by causing the joining of the cells and, thus, complicating the cell counting task. We propose, in this work, a cascade of networks that take as inputs different versions of the original image. After constructing a Gaussian pyramid representation of the microscopy data, the inputs of different size and spatial resolution are given to a cascade of deep convolutional autoencoders whose task is to reconstruct the segmentation mask. The coarse masks obtained from the different networks are summed up in order to provide the final mask. The principal and main contribution of this work is to propose a novel method for the cell counting. Unlike the majority of the methods that use the obtained segmentation mask as the prior information for counting, we propose to utilize the hidden latent representations, often called the high-level features, as the inputs of a neural network based regressor. While the segmentation part of our method performs as good as the conventional deep learning methods, the proposed cell counting approach outperforms the state-of-the-art methods.

Recently Deep-learning, Technologies using Large or Deep Artificial Neural Networks, have Shown Remarkable Performance, and the Increasing Size of the Network Contributes to its Performance Improvement. However, the Increase in the Size of the Neural Network Leads to an Increase in the Calculation Amount, which Causes Problems Such as Circuit Complexity, Price, Heat Generation, and Real-time Restriction. In This Paper, We Propose and Test a Method to Reduce the Number of Network Connections by Effectively Pruning the Redundancy in the Connection and Showing the Difference between the Performance and the Desired Range of the Original Neural Network. In Particular, we Proposed a Simple Method to Improve the Performance by Re-learning and to Guarantee the Desired Performance by Allocating the Error Rate per Layer in Order to Consider the Difference of each Layer. Experiments have been Performed on a Typical Neural Network Structure such as FCN (full connection network) and CNN (convolution neural network) Structure and Confirmed that the Performance Similar to that of the Original Neural Network can be Obtained by Only about 1/10 Connection.

Feature Selection have turned into the main point of investigations particularly in bioinformatics where there are numerous applications. Deep learning technique is a useful asset to choose features, anyway not all calculations are on an equivalent balance with regards to selection of relevant features. To be sure, numerous techniques have been proposed to select multiple features using deep learning techniques. Because of the deep learning, neural systems have profited a gigantic top recovery in the previous couple of years. Anyway neural systems are blackbox models and not many endeavors have been made so as to examine the fundamental procedure. In this proposed work a new calculations so as to do feature selection with deep learning systems is introduced. To evaluate our outcomes, we create relapse and grouping issues which enable us to think about every calculation on various fronts: exhibitions, calculation time and limitations. The outcomes acquired are truly encouraging since we figure out how to accomplish our objective by outperforming irregular backwoods exhibitions for each situation. The results prove that the proposed method exhibits better performance than the traditional methods.
This study proposes a novel deep neural network model that can accurately detect objects and their relationships in an image and represent them as a scene graph. The proposed model utilizes several multimodal features, including linguistic features and visual context features, to accurately detect objects and relationships. In addition, in the proposed model, context features are embedded using graph neural networks to depict the dependencies between two related objects in the context feature vector. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed model through comparative experiments using the Visual Genome benchmark dataset.
In this paper, we propose AnoVid, an automated video annotation tool based on deep neural networks, that automatically generates various meta data for each scene or shot in a long drama video containing rich elements. To this end, a novel meta data schema for drama video is designed. Based on this schema, the AnoVid video annotation tool has a total of six deep neural network models for object detection, place recognition, time zone recognition, person recognition, activity detection, and description generation. Using these models, the AnoVid can generate rich video annotation data. In addition, AnoVid provides not only the ability to automatically generate a JSON-type video annotation data file, but also provides various visualization facilities to check the video content analysis results. Through experiments using a real drama video, "Misaeing", we show the practical effectiveness and performance of the proposed video annotation tool, AnoVid.

This paper presents the application of artificial neural network (ANN) to predict deep beam deflection using experimental data from eight high-strength-self-compacting-concrete (HSSCC) deep beams. The optimized network architecture was ten input parameters, two hidden layers, and one output. The feed forward back propagation neural network of ten and four neurons in first and second hidden layers using TRAINLM training function predicted highly accurate and more precise load-deflection diagrams compared to classical linear regression (LR). The ANN's MSE values are 40 times smaller than the LR's. The test data R value from ANN is 0.9931; thus indicating a high confidence level.
