Plasma protein concentration, plasma albumin concentration, hematocrit, and arterial blood gas tension were measured in 15 mongrel dogs undergoing heart transplantation with cardiopulmonary bypass. The hemodilution due to priming solution resulted in a 49% decrease in plasma protein concentration, a 57% decrease in plasma albumin concentration, a 46%a decrease in hematocrit. The measurements had returned to preperfusion values 1 hour after the end of cardiopulmonary bypass. The intraoperative changes in plasma protein and albumin concentration did not correlate with changes in alveolar-arterial oxygen tension gradients[D[A\ulcorner PO2]]. It is concluded that, in the absence of an increase in left atrial pressure, marked decrease in plasma protein concentration can be tolerated without the occurrence of pulmonary edema. And further study should be done to determine how to prepare an ideal priming solution.

In order to achieve high precision machine tools, the research for performance enhancement of feed drive systems is required. Development of the high speed feed drive system has been a major issue for the past few decades in machine tool indestries. Because table levitation system decrease the table weight, an effect of reaction by weight is minimized and lost motion can be removed at maximum. In case fled system is designed with drive motor, ball screw and support bearing load capacity selection, an effect of decrease of the table weight exist. So, the table weight through an effect of decrease call it into the realization of cost down. Stick-slip friction has a great influence on the contouring accuracy of CNC machine tools. In this paper table levitation system has been developed for the stick-slip in a fled drive systems.

Sliding wear tests have been performed to evaluate the effect of normal load decrease on the wear depth of nuclear fuel rods in room temperature air. The objectives of this study are to quantitatively evaluate the supporting ability of spacer grid springs, to estimate the wear depth by using the contacting force decrease and to compare the wear behavior with increasing test cycles (up to $10^7$) at each spring condition. The result showed that the contacting load decrease depends on the spring shape and the applied slip amplitude. The estimated wear depth is smaller when compared with measured wear depth. Based on the test results, the wear mechanism, the role of wear debris layer and the spring shape effect were discussed.

This study has measured the pulmonary function by treadmill test for 6 young women who were in twenties, and analyzed the respiratory-circulatory function and the change of hormone and immune response after performing the exercise program (60% severity) for 10 weeks. The results are as follows; 1. 10 weeks regular exercise made a decrease in weight and body fat proportion, and improved the respiratory-circular function by increasing the maximum oxygen absorption and ventilation. 2. 10 weeks regular exercise made a significant increase in count of WBC, lymphocyte, and T lymphocyte, but a significant decrease in B lymphocyte. NK cell also showed an increase in counts, but insignificant. 3. 10 weeks regular exercise made a significant increase in blood norepinephrine level. Epinephrine and cortisol also showed an increase in count, but insignificant. In summary, it suggested that 10 weeks regular exercise improves the immune function by decrease in body fat, increase in respiratory-circular function and metabolic efficiency, and also by raising Th/Ts ratio (an increase in count of WBC, lymphocyte, and T lymphocyte, but a decrease in suppressor T lymphocyte).

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of influent phosphorus concentration on the nitrogen and phosphorus removal in sequencing batch reactor(SBR) and sequencing batch biofilm reactors(SBBRs) in order to recover the enhanced biological phosphorus removal (EBPR) capacity at the sludge of the deterioration of EBPR capacity. In SBBRs, comparing to SBR, the organic removal was occurred actively at the 1 st non-aeration period because of the active phosphorus release at this period. However, the variation of TOC removal according to the decrease of influent phosphorus concentration was not clearly shown both in SBR and SBBRs. In case of SBR losing EBPR capacity, the EBPR capacity was not recovered by the decrease of the influent phosphorus concentration from 7.5 mg/L to 0.9 mg/L. The nitrogen removal increased by the decrease of influent phosphorus concentration both in SBR and SBBRs.

I studied about temperature and pH concentration having influence upon chlorophyll decrease on the Glucose culture of Chlorella variegata Beijerinck(211/10a). I cultured under $25^{\circ}C$(standard), $15^{\circ}C$ and $35^{\circ}C$ and compared with each other. The culture of $15^{\circ}C$ didn't have any large difference with the standard culture($25^{\circ}C$) but the culture of $35^{\circ}C$ had a large amount of chlorophyll decrease without carbohydrate accumulation, stimulation of cell division and nitrogen-deficiency. Chlorella variegata had optimum pH 6.5-7 and was a little weak in all phenomenon under pH 8 rather than under pH 6.5-7. Under pH 5 they had deep chlorophyll decrease without phephytin.

Male Sprague Dawley rats were exposed to 0, 0.04, 0.2, and 0.8% Pb acetate in drinking water for 13 weeks and fed a commercial diet. Dose-related adverse effects observed at the end of the Pb acetate exposure in the drinking water were as follows: decrease in body weight gain, decrease in hemoglobin, hematocrit(HCT), mean corpuscular volume (MCV) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), increase in serum glucose, decrease in serum testosterone, increase in lead accumulation and $\delta$-ALA release in urine, and decrease in $\delta$-ALAD activities DNA content and histopathlogy (intranuclear inclusion body in kidney proximal tubule cell). Taken together, repeated exposure of lead acetate induced toxicities in hematopoietic system, especially testis and kidney.

The floating ring seal which is used in the high pressure turbo pump is frequently used in the oxidizer pump and the fuel pump of the turbo pump of the liquid propulsion rocket, because it is able to minimize clearance to decrease the leakage flow rate. But, floating ring seal has a tendency to increase the force which caused instability of system as the eccentricity ratio increases. In this paper, we devised design of floating ring seal which decrease contact area between floating and supporting ring. Modified floating ring seal has a tendency to decrease the eccentricity ratio compare with original floating ring seal. The whirl frequency ratio which is able to distinguish stability of system decrease compare with original floating ring seal

Model tests for a stern flap have been performed to decrease the resistance of a large warship and to optimize the flap. Stern flaps and wedges of fast crafts are studied to apply to a large vessel in terms of speed-length ratio. The model tests of the flap has been carried out to find the effects of the design parameters, i.e. length and angie on resistance decrease. This work concludes that the optimized stern flap reduced resistance not only at the high speed by 9％ but also at the cruising speed.

In order to investigate the effect of magnesia clinker on the characteristics of the investments, temperature change during setting, setting time, compressive strength and thermal expansion of the investments were measured, and x-ray analyses were also performed. The investments were prepared in accordance with variation of the content and the particle size of magnesia clinker respectively. From this experiment, the results were summarized as follows; 1. Temperature of the investments during setting rapidly increased with increase of MgO contents and decrease of the particle size of magnesia clinker. 2. Setting time decreased with increase of MgO contents and decrease of the particle size of magnesia clinker. 3. Compressive strength increased with increase of MgO contents and decrease of the particle size of magnesia clinker. 4. Thermal expansion decreased with increase of MgO contents and decrease of the particle size of magnesia clinker. From the above results, the investment which contains 8% of MgO (270-325mesh) could be recommended for phosphate investment castings.
