This study was to apply FLC(Fashion Life Cycle) concept with extended PLC(Product Life Cycle) theory of marketing for a basis. This article was particularly analyzed relations between demographic variables and fashion lifestyle toward consumer's behavior at decline stage of FLC empirical study was to target women's formal dress. Data were collected from the adult females residing in Youngnam district. Sampling were peformed pretest and main survey. Total 386pcs of answers were used for final analysis. The results of analysis were as follows. First, Hypothesis 1 & 4 were showed meaningful differences between fashion lifestyle patterns and consumer's behavior at decline stage of FLC according to demographic characteristics. Second, Hypothesis 2 also was adopted meaningful differences of consumer's hoarding behavior at decline stage of FLC in accordance with fashion lifestyle patterns. Third, Hypothesis 3 of fashion lifestyle patterns which has related consumer's recycling behavior at decline stage of FLC was rejected. In conclusion, This article discusses implication of fashion marketing strategies and summaries..
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to analyze the cost behavior of firms, taking into account both high R&D intensity and situations in which R&D activities are likely to be performed efficiently. Design/methodology/approach - During the sample period from 2002 to 2019, regression analysis is conducted on the manufacturing firms with December fiscal year listed on KOSDAQ. The degree of R&D expenditure was measured by R&D intensity. The efficient R&D situation is measured as the decline stage firms in the KOSDAQ market, which are relatively smaller than the KOSPI market. Findings - Firms in the decline phase and high R&D intensity showed the cost stickiness. Because these firms anticipate an optimistic future, they do little to cut current costs even if their current sales decrease. Research implications or Originality - Firstly, it is confirmed that both the extent of R&D expenditure and the situation in which R&D will be effectively performed are important in the study of cost behavior. Secondly, we present a new perspective on strategy research that favors the use of cost advantage strategy related to cost anti-stickiness for the decline firms.

This paper empirically investigates time-varying regression parameter of hedonic price model for Seoul office rental market in distinct periods of a market cycle. Office rental index is constructed and the index indicates that the global financial crisis differentiates the analysis period into decline stage and recovery stage. Pre-crisis period is classified into decline stage and post-crisis is classified into recovery stage. Structural break-point test suggests structural change of hedonic model of rent determinants occurred in 2008. Evidence indicates that individual regression parameters of hedonic price model for decline stage are significantly different from those for recovery stage. Changes in the regression parameters of land price, distance to metro, building size, building age, and conversion rate are consistent. In recovery stage, the effect of locational advantage on office rent decreases whereas the effect of building characteristics on the rent increases.

Korean tourist areas are designated/managed in accordance with the Tourism Promotion Act. Since Taejongdae was designated as a tourist area in 1969, a total of 230 tourist areas have been designated/built/operated. It has been 46 years since the first tourist area was designated. According to the Tourism Area Life Cycle by Butler, it is estimated that the flow of the life cycle will be reflected in ups and downs over time. Thus, this study aimed to provide basic data for suggesting the direction of changes and development of the future tourist areas after analyzing the life cycle stage of domestic tourist areas, by applying the Tourism Area Life Cycle by Butler. The research method was based on the tourist areas by year, the number of visitors, and data of the target to derive the change transition curve, obtained by dividing the life cycle stages of the tourist areas based on the visitor rate of change. In the analysis results, more than 1/3 of domestic tourist areas are reaching the stagnation/decline stage, and tourist areas such as hot springs and seaside/beach resources show a particularly high ratio of stagnation/decline. The tourist areas that already have reached the stagnation/decline stage will need to analyze the causes for the decline, seek for resolution measures, and introduce new innovative elements. Even though the results of this study are not sufficient to be used as an absolute standard to decide the life cycle stage of domestic tourist areas, it is considered to be adequate for phenomenologically understanding the life cycle stage of Korean tourist areas. Based on this study, the causes for the stagnation/decline of tourist areas can be revealed while it can be also used as basic research to establish revitalization measures for tourist areas by introducing new innovation.

Background and Purpose: Subjective cognitive decline (SCD) refers to the self-perception of cognitive decline with normal performance on objective neuropsychological tests. SCD, which is the first help-seeking stage and the last stage before the clinical disease stage, can be considered to be the most appropriate time for prevention and treatment. This study aimed to compare characteristics between the amyloid positive and amyloid negative groups of SCD patients. Methods: A cohort study to identify predictors for the clinical progression to mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or dementia from subjective cognitive decline (CoSCo) study is a multicenter, prospective observational study conducted in the Republic of Korea. In total, 120 people aged 60 years or above who presented with a complaint of persistent cognitive decline were selected, and various risk factors were measured among these participants. Continuous variables were analyzed using the Wilcoxon rank-sum test, and categorical variables were analyzed using the χ2 test or Fisher's exact test. Logistic regression models were used to assess the predictors of amyloid positivity. Results: The multivariate logistic regression model indicated that amyloid positivity on PET was related to a lack of hypertension, atrophy of the left temporal lateral and entorhinal cortex, low body mass index, low waist circumference, less body and visceral fat, fast gait speed, and the presence of the apolipoprotein E ε4 allele in amnestic SCD patients. Conclusions: The CoSCo study is still in progress, and the authors aim to identify the risk factors that are related to the progression of MCI or dementia in amnestic SCD patients through a two-year follow-up longitudinal study.
Korean textile and fashion companies have played a major role not only in developing the Korean economy since Korea's industrialization started in the early 1960s but also in providing opportunities to form and expand chaebols (conglomerates of family-owned businesses). This study reviewed and analyzed the historical development of chaebols, which started the fiber/textile/fashion business before the 1960s and maintained their chaebol status until 2010. The Samsung, Samyang, Kolon, Taekwang, Hyosung, LG, and SK groups were included in the study, and data were collected from diverse sources, including the publications and websites of the chaebol companies, newspapers, magazines, and research articles. The strategies of the companies at the corporate and group levels were examined based on the corporate lifecycle, which consists of existence, growth, maturity, rebirth, and decline stages. The results showed that all the analyzed companies actively engaged in product line expansion during the growth stage. Vertical integration, especially backward integration, was common during the growth stage. Some groups established new companies to manage additional product lines and integration, while others pursued growth strategies mainly at the corporate level. The rebirth stage occurred in only a few companies and groups. Some seemed to be going through the decline stage, and the rest of the groups exited the textile and fashion business.

Lung function reportedly declines with age and that this decline is accelerated during disease progression. However, a recent study showed that the decline might peak in the mild and moderate stage. The prognosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) can be improved if the disease is diagnosed in its early stages, prior to the peak of decline in lung function. This article reviews recent studies on early COPD and the possibility of applying the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommendation 2008 and 2015 for early detection of COPD in Korea.

Filefish Thamnaconus modestus has seen a sharp decline in their catch, we must strive for continuous resource management. We investigated the maturation and spawning of T. modestus by trawl net and set net from January 2018 to November 2019, off Jeju Is. and in coastal waters of North Gyeongsang Province's Korea. We analyzed monthly change total length (cm), gonadosomatic index (GSI) and maturity stages, egg diameter (mm), the relations fecundity and total length. GSI for Jeju Is. was the highest in April (3.17, 2.43), and decreased from July to 1.73 in August and GyeongBuk's GSI was the highest in Apri l (1.86, 2.58), followed by the high in May and the sharp decline in September, which is 0.23. Using a histological method, the annual reproductive cycle of T. modestus can be divided into 5stage in females; the early growing stage (Jan.-Mar.), late growing stage (Apr.-May), Mature stage, spent stage (Oct.), Recover and resting stage (Nov.-Jan.).We estimate the TL at 50% maturity as 24.1cm for female, fecundity ranged from 560,044 eggs at 23.4cm total length to 1,580,387 eggs at 36.6.cm TL.
With the intensity of competition and the standardization of technical attributes in telecommunications service market increasing, differentiated activity and customer experience in service encounter is regarded as an important means for creating customer value, however, there is a dearth of good literature examining what MOT activity is composed of according to consumption chain, and how service quality of MOT has influenced customer performance. Especially there exist various services across different phase of Product life cycle(PLC) in household telecommunication service market, customer requirement for MOT might depend on whether its phase is introduction-growth stage or maturity-decline stage, the empirical study is completely lacking. This study classified household telecommunication services into two types by PLC, VOIP and IPTV as Introduction-growth stage services, Internet and PSTN as maturity-decline stage service, and investigated whether there exists a gap between service types in how consumer have experienced MOT, what they consider as important and the relative importance of quality dimension how service quality of MOT has influence on consumer performance. The empirical result from 858 participants shows that there is a difference in consumer experience and requirements across different phases of the PLC, tangibles and assurance are regarded as the most important service quality factors which have a positive influence on customer performance (consumer satisfaction, repurchase intention and word of mouth) at the introduction-growth stage, whereas, reliability, empathy and interactivity are at the maturity-decline stage. Finally, managerial implication is made, limitation is clarified and a direction for further studies is suggested.
The cultural cluster in Chuncheon was initiated in the late 1990s with the combination of diverse components, which were companies, a local government entity, educational institutions, and human resources. In order to hold ability of standing on its own way in a hard time when the local cultural industries could not had developed by themselves, it urgently required the encouragement policy in the name of industry development. GIMC (Gangwon Information & Multimedia Corporation) was established in this situation, and policy strategies for promoting the cultural cluster was decided on the basis of GIMC's strategies. This article analyzes the evolution process of the local cluster and suggests characteristics of its every stage--initiation, development, and decline--on the basis of cluster competition concept because of the problem to deal with the evolution process of cluster from the existing viewpoint. This article finds out that Chuncheon cluster embarked on cultural cluster strategies without concerning basic elements which had to be prepared from the initial stage. This problem worked as the serious obstacle hampering development of Chunchen cluster. This problem was the matter of policies in providing a direction of industry development as well as leading a local cultural cluster and led to a result of weakening the connection among cluster components. As a result, this article shows that the current status of Chuncheon cultural cluster is being entered the decline stage, and, therefore, suggests that the advanced policy to promote cluster for a next round is urgently needed. Stable closing the first round of cultural cluster policies and thorough preparation for the second round is the only practical solution to minimize side effects of cluster decline. It is the prerequisite to restore trust and, at the same time, reinforce relationship between members who consist of Chuncheon cultural cluster.
