  • 불규칙 파랑 중에서 직접 예인하는 케이슨의 상판침수에 대한 수치해석을 수행하였다. 패널법을 이용하여 주파수 영역에서의 선형 운동해석을 수행하였고, 통계적 방법을 통해 상판침수를 예측하였다. 시간영역 해석에서는 예인시스템, 환경하중 등을 상세히 구현하여 운동해석을 수행하였고, 상판침수 결과를 주파수 영역에서의 결과와 비교하였다. 또한, 시간 영역 해석에서는 예인선의 수 및 배치에 대한 검토를 수행하여 상판침수 측면에서 예인시스템이 미치는 영향과 운송조건을 고찰하였다.

  • This paper deals with the problem of developing a new decision procedure for the freeboard of a coastal chemical tanker going on the coast. The decision procedure is mainly constructed with the algorithm of estimating statistically the time period that deck wetness will last on the deck of the ship. Deck wetness is one of the most important safety factors for sailing of a coaster. It generally means the situation in which the amplitude of the relative motion between the deck and the surface of the wave exceeds the freeboard. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed that the time during which the amplitude remains above the level of the freeboard should be appraised on the basis of statistical theory. A series of numerical calculations were executed for four different coastal chemical tankers (199G/T Type II, III & 499G/T Type II, III). It was demonstrated that the present decision procedure of freeboard is practical for planning the type of coaster sailing in the sea.

원유 생산.저장.하역선의 갑판침수에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Deck Wetness of the FPSO)

  • As the number of offshore structure is glowing in deep waters, there have been increased damages of it. These floating structures in offshore locations exposed to harsh environmental conditions. In recent years, there has been a slowing attention around damages on bow and deck on FPSO caused by waves in steep storm condition. This paper describes a study of the water on deck due to the dynamic behavior of a FPSO with turret mooring system. The nonlinear motions of the FPSO are simulated under external forces due to wave, current, wind, and mooring forces in the time domain. The direct integration method is employed to estimate low frequency drift wave forces. The current forces are calculated by using slow motion maneuvering equations in the horizontal plane. The coefficients of a model for wind forces are calculated from Isherwood's experimental data and the variation of wind speed is estimated by wind spectrum according to the guidelines of API-RP2A.

  • In this paper, the shapes of windsurfing boards are proposed for the promotion of their public utilization. Initially, we investigated the principal dimensions of 1,500 windsurfing boards that were produced in the last six years to categorize the characteristics of the boards. Then, model tests were performed in a circulating water channel to determine the resistance characteristics and the flow phenomena, including the wetness of the decks. After analyzing the principal dimensions and the results of the tests of existing windsurfing boards, we proposed four public board shapes that resulted from changing the shapes of the nose and rail and protecting the deck of free-ride boards from wetness. Finally, we predicted the performance of the four proposed windsurfing boards.

  • Deck wetness phenomenon has long been considered as one of the factors that degrade the performance of a ship In waves. In rough weather, the frequent skipping of water may give rise to the capsizing of the ship. Therefore an appropriate above water bow shape design is an important asset to a ship of which successful performance in rough weather is a prerequisite such as a warship. In this paper an experimental technique for estimation of deck-wetness frequency is presented. The results of the model tests are compared with those of computations using Ochi's formula. Finally the applicability of Ochi's formula is discussed.

  • 국제수조회의(ITTC) 내항성분과에서 회귀현상(rare event)레 대한 시험기법 확립 및 계측기간 결정을 목적으로 19차 ITTC 내항성분과의 공동사업으로 갑판침수 계측시험을 수행한 바 있다. 본 논문에는 공동연구에 참여한 수조시험연구회(KTTC)의 두 회원인 해사기술연구소(KRISO)와 현대선박해양연구소(HMRI)의 실험방법 및 결과를 비교 검토하였다. 선수상대운동과 갑판침수 사이의 상관관계 및 Poisson process에 근거한 계측시간의 추정에 촛점을 두어 결과를 고찰하였다. 동일한 특성을 갖는 입사파에 대해 계측된 갑판침수 빈도수는 두 기관 모두 계측시마다 큰 차이를 보였으며 이는 일반적인 선체운동 계측 보다 더 많은 계측시간이 필요한 것을 의미한다. 선수상대운동과 갑판침수사이의 상관관계는 선수형상, 선속 및 해상상태에 따라 달라지며 본 공동연구의 실험 조건하에서는 (유의파고 7.88m, 선속 22.15노트) 둘 사이의 상관관계가 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 갑판침수 현상의 통계적 특성은 Poisson process로 해석될 수 있음을 보였다.

  • The length and the breadth or a very large floating airport are determined by airplane types and airport facilities. However, the depth affect not only the structural strength but also the functional requirement such as a possibility of taking off and landing. The optimization problem for determining the depth is to select a design so that the cost is minimized. In this paper, a general arrangement and a method to decide the depth are proposed. Strength, functional requirement, and possibility of occurrence of deck wetness and slamming are considered in order to determine the depth of structure. Hydrodynamic forces of the diffraction and radiatin problems are predicted by applying the source-dipole distribution method, and the structural responses are obtained by the finite element method.

  • 불규칙 해상을 항해하는 선박이 겪게 되는 갑판침수 현상은 의장품 및 갑판화물의 손상과 승무원의 활동제한 등을 초래하여 선박의 성능을 감소시키는 작용을 하며 거친 해상에서의 잦은 갑판침수는 전복을 야기시킬 수도 있다. 따라서 거친해상에서의 작업이 요구되는 군함이나 갑판에 화물을 적재하게 되는 콘테이너선 등은 설계시 갑판침수 현상을 최소화하기 위한 선수부 현상이 고안되어야 한다, 갑판침수 현상은 현상자체의 비선형성 및 희귀성으로 인해 이론적 추정이 난점이 있으므로 설계목적의 갑판침수 현상해석은 주로 모형시험에 의존하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 용량식 파고계의 원리를 이용한 갑판침수계측 시험방법을 소개하였으며, ITTC 내항성분과 표준모형선인 S-175 고속콘테이너선의 1/43.75 모형으로, 유의파고 7.88m, 평균주기 10.5초의 선수파 해상상태에서 Froude수 0.15와 0.275의 두 조건에 대해 갑판침수계측 시험을 수행하였다. 계측시험 결과를 통계적 관점에서 고찰하였고 Rayleigh 분포의 가정에 따른 Ochi의 갑판침수계산 공식에 의한 계산결과로 비교하였다.

Dynamic Analysis of Spar Hull Transportation

  • The transportation of a truss-spar hull from a transport barge of 6000 ton topside module on the spar hull is investigated in the present study. Two possible routes from a fabrication yard in Teeside, England to the Gulf of Mexico are considered in the paper. The results of motion responses of the transport barge obtained from a spectral analysis and the limiting criteria of sea fastening, deck wetness and lateral acceleration are compared and the route selection is discussed. Long-crested waves and short-crested seas as well as the joint probabilities of significant wave heights and wave periods in different sea areas are considered. Generally speaking, the results for long-crested seas are higher than those for short-crested waves.

풍.파랑중에서 투망중인 트롤어선의 슬립웨이를 통한 갑판침수에 관한 연구 (On the Deck Wetness Through Slipway of a Stern Trawler in Wind and Waves)

  • The slipway, which is one of stern construction, is necessary for stern trawler to let fishing implements, such as fishing net, otter board and warp, go out effectively. It may be doubtable whether there is any possibility for deckwetness to occur because the slipway is obliquely in contact with sea surface. The author discusses any possibility for deckwetness through slipway of stern trawler in wind and waves. A 350 G/T class, ocean-going stern trawler is adopted for the present study. The stem trawler is particularly assumed to drift with fishing implements hung down the slipway due to internal or external accident during fishing operation in real sea. The author considers two factors as possibility for deckwetness to occur through slipway. One is mooring effect of fishing implements hung down the slipway under wind pressure, and the other is relative ship motion in vertical direction in waves. Through the numerical calculation, the author clarifies that there is thin possibility for deckwetness to occur from above two points of view.
