보육교사의 직업적성 및 책임감이 교사효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Teachers' Vocational Aptitude and Sense of Responsibility on Their Teaching Efficacy in Early Childhood Education and Care)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of teachers' vocational aptitude and sense of responsibility on their teaching efficacy in early childhood education and care. 259 teachers in ECEC were recruited from 19 daycare centers and the data were analyzed through frequency, percentage, Pearson's correlations, and stepwise regression using SPSS 18.0. The findings are as follows. First, teachers' teaching efficacy was significantly different according to their age, the number of years of teaching experiences, and education levels. Second, all degrees of teachers' vocational aptitude, sense of responsibility, and their teaching efficacy were higher than the median points. Second, teachers' efficacy relating with running class was affected most by the ability of safe management in vocational aptitude, and teaching methods in sense of responsibility. For teachers' efficacy relating to teaching, acceptability/sensitivity in vocational aptitude and motivation had the most impact. The implication was discussed in order to figure out the ways to increase teachers' efficacy.

어린이집의 하루일과에서 영아반 보육교사가 실행하는 영아권리존중보육에 관한 연구 (A study on the infant daycare center teacher practicing infant's rights respect in care giving daycare center's daily work)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 영아반 보육교사가 어린이집의 하루일과 속에서 영아권리존중보육을 어느 정도 실행하고 있는지를 살펴보는데 있다. 이를 위하여, J도 G시에 소재한 어린이집 영아반을 담당하는 보육교사 210명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 어린이집 하루일과에 따른 영아권리존중보육의 실행 수준을 보육교사의 학력, 경력, 연령, 전공에 따라 차이를 검증한 결과, 전체적으로 유의미한 차이는 없었다. 그러나 등원시간과 화장실 다녀오는 시간에는 4년제졸업이상 학력교사보다 전문대졸 학력교사가, 등원시간과 낮잠 재우는 시간에는 50대 이상 연령교사보다 30~40대 연령교사가 영아의 권리를 보다 존중하는 보육을 실행하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사의 연령과 전공에 따라서 전체적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 하위영역별로 살펴보아도, 교사의 연령에 따라서는 의사 존중, 개별성 존중, 정보 제공에서 50대 이상 연령교사보다 30~40대 연령교사가, 교사의 전공에 따라서는 자율성 존중, 개별성 존중에서 유아교육 계열 전공교사보다 보육복지 계열 교사가 영아 최우선의 원칙에 따라 영아의 권리존중보육을 보다 우수하게 실행하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 두 관련변인의 관계성을 살펴본 결과, 통계적으로 유의미한 정적인 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 보육교사가 어린이집의 하루일과에 따라 실행하는 영아권리존중보육을 많이 할수록 영아 최우선의 원칙에 따른 영아권리존중보육도 많이 한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과는 양적 질적으로 우수하고 균형 있는 영아의 권리존중 내실화를 다지는데 필요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

현장 유아교사의 교직관 분석 (An Analysis of View on the Teaching Profession of Early Childhood Teachers in the Field)

  • 본 연구는 유아교육현장에서 근무하고 있는 교사의 교직관을 알아보고, 현장 교사를 지원하는 방안을 찾아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 대전·충남 지역의 사립유치원 및 어린이집에서 근무하고 있는 교사 16명을 대상으로 전화면담을 사용하여 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 텍스트 연결망 분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 교직이라는 직업에 대한 이해를 토대로 교직관을 형성할 수 있도록 적극적 지원이 필요하다. 또한 사회적으로 교직에 대한 인식을 향상할 수 있는 분위기 형성과 더불어 교권이 충분히 마련될 수 있는 제도적 장치가 필요하며, 동시에 예비유아교사의 직업에 대한 이해를 도모할 수 있는 올바른 교직관 형성과 관련된 다양한 프로그램이 현장 교사들에게 재교육으로 제공되어져야 할 것이다.

유아들의 또래 괴롭힘에 대한 교사들의 인식과 교사 효능감 (Attitudes of Teachers Toward Preschoolers' Bullying and Teachers' Self-efficacy)

  • The present study investigated attitudes of preschool teachers toward children's bullying behaviors and relationships between teachers' self-efficacy and attitudes toward children's bullying behaviors. The participants were 176 preschool and daycare center teachers. The results indicated that teachers perceived physical bullying more seriously than verbal or relational bullying. Teachers reported that they would intervene more intensively for children who have been targeted than for bullying children in physical and relational bullying situations. Teachers with high self-efficacy were more likely to perceive physical and relational bullying seriously than were teachers with low self-efficacy.

어린이집 방문간호사의 직무에 대한 인식비교 (Comparative Analysis of Nurse-led Health Care in Child Daycare Centers)

  • Purpose: To compare perceptions of nurse-led health care visits in child daycare centers and calculate determination coefficients (DC) reflecting the job values. Methods: This was a secondary analysis study that applied the evaluation report for visiting nursing services for child daycare centers, prepared by the Seoul Nurses Association in 2021. Totally, 86 visiting nurses, 1997 childcare teachers, and 1915 parents were included in the study. The job recognition questionnaire was used to identify the levels of readiness, importance, and difficulty of a visiting nurse's job. Results: The visiting nurses showed high levels of readiness and importance for most duties and tasks expected of them. Compared to the nurses, the parents determined a greater importance towards the jobs of visiting nurses. The visiting nurses and childcare teachers exhibited similar levels of importance for the job. The highest and lowest DC scores were obtained for 'child developmental evaluation and referral' and 'child education', respectively. Conclusion: The duties and tasks verified in this study can be evidence for the job description, and should be preferentially developed for enhancing the competency of visiting nurses. Considering the importance of nurse-led health care, this will warrant an expansion of services to other regions.

보육교사의 영유아 구강보건행태에 대한 조사 (A survey on childcare teachers' practice about preschool children oral health promotion)

  • Objectives : This study was to collect data about oral health to develop preschool children' oral health program. Methods : This research was from July 20th to August 20th, 2008 with self-administrated questionnaires by post and e-mail. The response rate was 57.6%(144 of 250). Results : 1. Daycare center provided fruit(64.6%), bread(56.9%), milk(82.6%), yoghurt(47.9%). daycare center tend to provide cariogenic snacks and drinks such as bread, yoghurt. 2. 73.6% of teachers said they reward children with sweets for good behavior. 3. Activities related to oral health was done in daycare center were : children brush their teeth with fluoride toothpaste(79.9%), catering staff receive the education about nutrition(79.2%), children participate in the activities and training related to food(78.5%), using sugary food at a birthday party(77.3%), annual dental health check-up by a dentist(65.3%). 4. The percentages of guiding principles based on documentation in the topic of the oral health were : coping with a situation where a child injured his or her teeth(76.4%), annual dental health checkup by a dentist(72.2%), teachers supervise children's tooth brushing using a fluoride toothpaste(70.8%). 5. Documented guide or course for oral health includes the following; training for coping with tooth damage(76.4%), annual dental health check-up(72.2%), and coaching children to brush their teeth with toothpaste that contains fluoride(70.8%). Conclusions : It is believed that for better children's oral healthcare, childcare teacher should be given a range of in-depth oral health program. Furthermore, through detailed analysis on the documented guide of oral health, cooperation from the associated organization will be required to have the guide placed at the childcare center.

어린이집 원장의 남자교사 채용 인식과 개선방안에 대한 포커스 집단 연구 (A Focus Group Interview Study on the Daycare Center Director's Recognition and Improvement of Male Teacher's Employment)

  • 본 연구에서는 포커스 집단 인터뷰를 통하여 어린이집 원장의 남자교사 채용에 관한 인식과 개선방안을 탐색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 보육현장에서 남자교사를 채용하였거나 실습을 지도한 경험이 있는 어린이집 원장 8명을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 자료수집방법으로는 포커스 집단 인터뷰 방법을 적용하였고 매회 2시간~2시간 30분 정도, 총 4회의 면담이 진행되었다. 본 연구에서 수집된 자료를 통하여 분석해 본 결과 어린이집 원장의 남자교사 채용에 관한 인식은 (1) 다가올 어려움에 대한 막연한 두려움 (2) 보육현장 조직문화에서의 남자교사의 명과 암 등의 2가지 주제와 6개의 하위주제로 나타났다. 도출된 결과를 구체적으로 살펴보면, 다가올 어려움에 대한 막연한 두려움 주제에서는 '행정적인 불이익', '성과 관련된 사회적 분위기', '역할 수행에 대한 불확실성' 등의 하위주제를 도출하고, 보육현장에서의 남자교사의 명과 암 주제에서는 '여성중심의 조직 문화와 적응', '보육현장의 비전', '보육현장에서의 남자교사의 역할' 등의 하위 주제가 도출되었다. 다음으로 보육현장에서 남자교사의 채용을 위한 개선방안에 관해서는 보육현장으로 진입하기 위한 남자교사의 길의 주제가 도출되었는데, 이 주제에서는 '영유아 보육 경험 및 실습 기회 확대', '남자가 아닌 개인의 문제라는 인식으로의 전환', '남자로서의 장점 극대화', '시스템의 변화' 등의 4가지 하위주제가 도출되었다. 이는 무엇보다도 남자교사 채용을 위해서는 보육현장에서 교사 성불균형 문제를 해결해야 함을 시사하고 있다.

타인양육 유형과 다중애착안정성 유형에 따른 영아의 순응성 연구 (A Study on Infant Compliance According to the Types of Care and Multiple Attachments)

  • The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of the types of care and multiple attachments on the issue of infant compliance. The subjects of this study were 52 infants (1-2 years old) and their caregivers (grandparents, baby sitters, daycare teachers) and their mothers. The results of this study are as follows : (1) The type of care and multiple attachments types affected infant compliance in relation to the mother. In the daycare center, the infants showed more signs of compliance than whilst in the care of the grandparents. Moreover, with the secure-secure, secure-insecure types, the infant showed more signs of compliance than with the insecure-secure, insecure-insecure types. (2) The types of care affected infant compliance in relation to the caregiver. In the daycare center, the infant showed more signs of compliance than in the care of both the grandparents or baby sitter. (3) Multiple attachment types were found to affect infant compliance in relation to strangers.

어머니 거부/방임적 양육태도, 유아의 기질 및 보육 경험이 유아의 공격성에 미치는 영향: 자기조절의 중재효과를 중심으로 (Associations of Aggression, Maternal Rejection/Neglect, Child Temperament, and Daycare Experience: The Moderating Effect of Self-Regulation)

  • This study investigates the relationships between aggression and rejection/neglect by mothers, child temperament, day care experience for preschoolers; in addition, the moderating effect of self-regulation was investigated. The subjects were 338 preschool children. Teachers completed questionnaires that assessed aggression and self-regulation. Mothers reported on the temperament of children and parenting behavior. The rejection/neglect by mothers, child temperament, and daycare experiences were significant predictors of aggression. The moderating effect of self-regulation was found only in daycare experience, which suggests that high self-regulation protects aggression from day care experience.

그림책을 활용한 명상 프로그램이 유아의 공격성 감소에 미치는 영향 (The Influences of Meditation Program Using Picture Books on Reduction of Young Children's Aggression)

  • This study examined the effects of a meditation program using picture books as a method of reducing young children's aggression. Data was taken from a sample of 60 four-to five-year-old children in daycare centers. This study employed a pre/post-test controlgroup design. All children of each daycare center were assigned to an experimental group(meditation program using picture books) or control group(general music meditation program). All variables were measured by the mothers and teachers of the observed children and the collected data were analyzed by independent and paired t-test. The main results of this study are as follows. Firstly, the meditation program using picture books and general music meditation program were all effective in reducing young children's aggression (aggression against things, aggression against others, verbal aggressin and total aggression) perceived by their teachers, that is, aggression against things, aggression against others and verbal aggression. Secondly, the meditation program using picture books was more effective than general music meditation program in reducing young children's aggression perceived by teachers. Thirdly, the meditation program using picture books was effective in reducing only young children's verbal aggression perceived by their mothers.
