지하매설물은 지방자치단체, 통신공사, 전력공사, 도시가스회사, 지역난방공사 등 관리주체가 다양하며, 서로 다른 기본도 사용에 따른 중복투자발생, 관리부서별 다양한 도면 및 대장자료의 산재, 다양한 관리기관별 업무협조체제의 부재로 인해 통합된 정보부재 등의 문제를 안고 있다. 선진외국에서 GIS를 이용하여 지하매설물을 체계적으로 관리하고, 도시안전관리에도 기여함을 고려할 때, 지하매설물의 효율적 관리방안으로서 GIS 도입에 대한 연구가 절실함을 느낀다. 본 연구에서는 첫째 지하매설물 관리기관별 지하매설물 관리실태를 파악하고 둘째 서울시 지하매설물 관련기관에서 사용할 수 있는 확장성있는 데이터베이스 표준안을 작성하였으며 셋째 지하매설물 데이터베이스 구축에 있어 탐사에 의한 방법과 기존의 각 관리기관에서 보유하고 있는 도면을 이용하는 방법에 대한 가능성 검증 및 기존도면을 이용하여 데이터베이스를 구축하는 경우의 입력절차를 제안하고, 넷째 데이터베이스 구축 후 유지관리를 위한 방안에 대한 대안을 제시하였다.

The treatment of Atopic dermatitis and its untapped herbal elements are recognized as possible solutions to incurable diseases stemming from overdosage of chemical drugs. Synthesizing clinical results from the Oriental medicine with scientific results from the field of Molecular biology is in the mainstream. The main goal of this research is, by objectifying the methodology of abstracting information into a compendium, to establish knowledge-based database on natural materials mingling every single related information from both Oriental and Western medicine. The constructed system, ATODERM, is the first database system about the medical herb for the treatment of Atopic Dermatitis which bearing the integrated information on Oriental medicine and Western medicine. The construction of this database renders new ways of treatment and prescriptions for researchers in the field of the Oriental medicine. Using the database that has been intensively accumulated, the possibility of creating the plausible cure for the disease can be anticipated.

현대도시는 여러 가지 원인으로 인하여 각종 재해가 발생하고 있다. 또한 재해의 발생 빈도가 증가하고 대형화되고 있는 시점에서 이들을 효과적으로 대처하기 위한 재해관리시스템이 필요하게 되었다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 급격한 차량의 증가로 인해 도시생활에서 가장 큰 재해로 지적되고 있는 교통사고와 사고발생 시 대형재해를 일으키는 가스재해 및 유지 보수의 중요성이 커지고 있는 교량 재해를 중심으로 데이터베이스를 구축하였다. 이에 본 연구는 실시간 정보의 제공을 가능케 하는 무선 인터넷 GIS를 이용하여 재해발생 시 현장에서 재해관리 데이터베이스에 접근하고, 신속하게 현장정보를 확인하여, 재해상황에 효과적으로 대처하며, 즉시 재해정보를 수정, 갱신할 수 있는 재해관리시스템을 개발하였다.

본 논문에서는 과학기술정보의 관리에 필요한 여러 기능을 포함하는 GUI 기반의 검색 데이터베이스 관리 도구(K-Manager)를 제안한다. 일반적으로, 웹 기반의 과학기술정보 서비스를 위해서는 검색 데이터베이스의 구성이 필수적이나, 검색 데이터베이스의 관리 기능이 관계형 데이터베이스와 같은 기능을 모두 지원하지 않을 뿐 만 아니라 TOAD나 GOLDEN과 같은 데이터베이스 관리 도구를 지원하지 않기 때문에, 콘텐츠 관리자나 시스템 관리자가 손쉽게 정보를 처리하기가 어려운 실정이다. 이 도구에는 과학기술정보를 관리하는 콘텐츠 관리자가 필요한 기능과 검색 데이터베이스를 관리하는 시스템 관리자가 필요한 기능이 GUI 기반으로 통합 구성되어 있어 콘텐츠 관리자가 원하는 데이터베이스에 접근하여 각종 데이터 작업을 수행할 수 있고, 데이터베이스 관리자가 데이터베이스의 관리도 수행할 수 있다. 특히 K-Manager는 대용량 과학기술정보의 빠르고 정확한 검색 서비스와 안정적인 관리를 위해 구성된, 분산 검색 데이터베이스에 저장된 정보를 처리하는데 효과적이다. 본 관리 도구는 크게 콘텐츠 관리기와 데이터베이스 관리기로 그 기능을 분류할 수 있으며, 국내 최대 과학기술 포털사이트인 Yeskisti의 콘텐츠 및 데이터베이스 관리를 그 기본 모델로 하였다.

이 연구의 목적은 최근까지 발행된 국내 화강암 연구에서 측정된 화강암 분석 자료를 저장, 관리, 도시할 수 있는 지질정보시스템(GIS; Geological Information System)을 개발하는 것이다. 아직 국내의 화강암 분석 자료는 표준화 되지 않고 하나의 자료로써 취합되어 있지 않기 때문에 이를 이용하는데 효율성이 많이 떨어지는 실정이다. 따라서 참고문헌 수집을 통한 표준화된 데이터베이스(database)를 구축하여 이를 여러 연구자에게 제공할 필요가 있다. 이를 위하여 우선 지난 30여 년간 국내 화강암에 대한 다양한 분석 자료를 종합 정리할 필요가 있다. 따라서 지질도에 암석 분포 및 지질구조 심볼(기호)의 표준화 뿐만 아니라, 표준화된 여러 분석치도 첨부하여 제시함으로써 그 활용성을 높이고자 한다. 화강암 정보의 주요내용은 광물비율, 주성분 원소, 미량 원소 및 희토류 원소 분석 자료이다. 이를 통하여 시스템이 다양한 질의를 수행할 수 있었으며, 이에 따른 통계분석 및 시각적 도출이 가능했다.

Managing students' data is a high prioritized duty of the university administration since most of the school affairs are proceed based on that database. Universities have invested in IT assets such as servers, storage, database, and networks. However, continuing investment in IT infrastructure is impossible due to limited budget and rapid changes in the educational environment. As cloud computing diffuse, universities are trying to reduce costs and improve efficiency by increasing server utilization, unlike when physically investing. We designed a hypothetical academic information management system based on cloud computing by utilizing the advanced server virtualization technology. This administrative cloud system allows universities to improve the availability of the system with low cost. The system demonstrates its flexibility of using data resources and immediacy of resumption.

Data conversion refers to the process of extracting the data existing in the existing system, that is, the past data accumulated by the old information system or other methods and transferring it to the improved table of the new system. The person in charge of data conversion refers to the entire process of converting to the final destination table according to the rules designed/planned in advance. In most cases, data conversion design should be consider when the old system replace or the data of another existing system is converted and applied to a newly constructed information system. The goal of data conversion is to understand the current database system of operating environment, understand the characteristics of the DBMS in use, maintain the optimal database structure, and make the new system perform at its best. Data conversion methods are largely divide into a method using a tool and a conversion method using a program preparation. In this paper, we examine the advantages and disadvantages of the data conversion method, and try to derive the problems of the existing data conversion method. Based on this, an improved data conversion method for the system upgrade project was proposed, and verified through a questionnaire of an IT expert to prove its effectiveness

This paper tries to suggest the Model of Fisheries Information Systems(FIS) with information technology. The paper shows the analysis and design of FIS. FIS consists of three inportant parts. They are database system, modelbase system and networking. Database systems report to infer the statistic, institute, maket of fisheries. Modelbase systems are used to forecast and plan the automation of fisheries. Networking is needed to develop the Value-Added Networking(VAN). FIS will be highly possible to develop the biggest VAN in Korea.

Decision Support System(DSS) is an advanced information system concept prevailing since 1980s. It supports managers' decision making activities by providing not only information but decision alternatives. It essentially consists of the components of database, modelbase and dialogue systems. With the development of its databases, POSCO needs a number of modelbases in establishing DSSs in various areas such as production planning and investment. This research particularly focuses on establishment of a mid-and long-range investment DSS and investigates the necessity and the problems of an investment DSS and the decision criteria for investment priority. We (1) propose a modelbase which uses the concepts of Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) and Zero-Base Budgeting(ZBB), along with an appropriate scoring method, database and dialogue system to support the investment manager in evaluating investment proposals ; (2) implement the system using relational database management system ; and (3) discuss the results of implementing the investment DSS.

This paper presents a database approach to integrating the structural analysis and design processes for a typical shear wall apartment building design. Our initial efforts have focused on extracting various graphic information from CAD(AutoCAD™) systems. But now, we concentrate our research efforts on organizing specific information generated during the structural analysis and design processes. The proposed overall system consists of a conventional structural analysis package, a conventional CAD system, and different application interface programs. This system is based on an engineering database which is developed by using an object-oriented data modelling approach. The system is actually implemented on an ORACLE™-based relational database management system.
