Choline is a water-soluble organic compound that is important for the normal functioning of the body. It is an essential dietary component as de novo synthesis by the human body is insufficient. Since the United States set the Adequate Intakes (AIs) for total choline as dietary reference values in 1998, Australia, China, and the European Union have also established the choline AIs. Although choline is clearly essential to life, the 2020 Dietary Reference Intakes for Koreans (KDRIs) has not established the values because very few studies have been done on choline intake in Koreans. Since choline intake levels differ by race and country, human studies on Koreans are essential to set KDRIs. Therefore, the present study was undertaken to provide basic data for developing choline KDRIs in the future by analyzing data on choline intake in Koreans to date and reference values of choline intake and dietary choline intake status by country and race.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine risk factors for pathological gambling of horse race participants. Methods: The participants, 508 horse race gamblers, completed the DSM-IV criteria of pathological gambling, Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT-K) and Symptom Checklist-47-Revision (SCL-47-R). Data were analyzed using t-test, $x^2$-test, Fisher's exact test, and logistic regression analyses. Behaviors related to horse racing, alcohol abuse, and mental health were analyzed between problem or pathological gamblers compared to recreational gamblers. Results: The prevalence rates of recreational, problem, and pathological gambling were 36.6%, 39.4%, and 24.0%, respectively. Frequency of gambling (${\geq}4/day$), frequency of racetrack visiting (${\geq}3/month$), accompaniment (alone), and mental health (SCL-47-R scores) were all associated with increased risks of problem and pathological gambling. Expenditure on betting (${\geq}200,000$ won/day) and alcohol abuse (AUDIT-K 8-20 scores) group members had higher levels of gambling pathology than recreational gamblers. Conclusion: Problem and pathological gambling are highly associated with alcohol abuse and mental health disorders, suggesting that clinicians should carefully evaluate this population.
In this study, a gearbox and blade were modeled in the MASTA program, and the housing and carrier components were modeled using a finite element method. Using substructure synthesis, all the components were combined and used to establish a vibration model of a 2.5-MW wind turbine gearbox. In addition, the safety displacement factor was evaluated using an AGMA data sheet about bearing's outer race for the input shaft and output shaft. As a result, the bearing's outer race for the input shaft, and the radial and axial responses were satisfied by the $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ planetary gears and the $3^{nd}$ helical gear transmission error(TE), respectively. However, the output shaft support bearing's outer race responses were not satisfied with the radial response by the $2^{nd}$ TE and axial response by the $3^{rd}$ TE. To reduce the vibration, tooth modification was needed. After profile tooth modification, at the outer race of the output shaft support bearing, the radial response was reduced by approximately $20{\mu}m$, and the axial response was reduced by approximately $6{\mu}m$.
Races in programs with OpenMP directives must be detected for debugging, because they may cause unexpected result by non-deterministic executions. But, Thread Checker of Intel corporation, a well-known existing tool for detecting the races, is not practical because this tool does not verify the existence of races and is known that the cost for race detection is too big. This paper presents a web-based tool which verify the existence of races with an optimal functionality and performance using the results from the property analysis of OpenMP program as well as the user requirements. Our tool is proved to be practical in the aspect of functionality and performance by experiments using synthetic programs, because the suggested tool can verify the existence of race and shows O(n) as the ratio of time consumption while Thread Checker can not verify the existence of race and shows $O(n^2)$ as the ratio, where n is the number of total accesses.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate and compare the efficacy of the S1 reciprocating system and the D-Race retreatment rotary system for filling material removal and the apical extrusion of debris. Materials and Methods: Sixty-four freshly extracted maxillary canines were shaped with size 10 and size 15 K-files, instrumented using ProTaper Gold under irrigation with 2.5% sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), obturated according to the principle of thermo-mechanical condensation with gutta-percha and zinc oxide eugenol sealer, and allowed to set for 3 weeks at 37℃. Subsequently, the teeth were divided into a control group (n = 4), the D-Race rotary instrument group (n = 30), and the S1 reciprocating instrument group (n = 30). After classical retreatment, the canals were subjected to a complementary approach with the XP-Endo Shaper. Desocclusol was used as a solvent, and irrigation with 2.5% NaOCl was performed. Each group was divided into subgroups according to the timing of radiographic readings. The images were imported into a software program to measure the remaining filling material, the apical extrusion, and the root canal space. The data were statistically analyzed using the Z-test and JASP graphics software. Results: No significant differences were found between the D-Race and S1 groups for primary retreatment; however, using a complementary cleaning method increased the removal of remnant filling (p < 0.05). Conclusions: Classical removal of canal filling material may not be sufficient for root canal disinfection, although a complementary finishing approach improved the results. Nevertheless, all systems left some debris and caused apical extrusion.
Occasionally, We make mistake of discrimination of sex since a pair of small spots around tile abdomen of 9th abdominal of males and posterior spots of females of the silkworms larvae are found at almost same position. As already have reported, more larvae which have the small spots were found in Chinese race than the Japanese. This research has been conducted in order to grasp the rate of appearance of the small spotted larvae hereditarily when hybridize with different race (F$_1$) 1. According to the first report, average 17,8% of the small spotted larvae are found in the Japanese race and 57.0% in the Chinese, but my re-invested data which was carried out recently shows that average 13.6% in the former case and 37.8% in the latter. Those new data are supposed to be come to a conclusion that the figures are flexible but in any case high frequency of appearance of the larvae were found in the Chinese race than the Japanese (Reference Table 1 ) 2. Miscalculated ratio of the larvae from males to females are 1.2-2.6%, and from females to males are found 0.5%-0.9% in the Japanese race, In case of the Chinese race, 7.1-9.4% in tile former and 2.9-3.4% in the latter. Those data also shows that more of the larvae found in Chinese race. 3. The larvae of small spotted and non-spotted are also seperated when hlybridize with different mating types and races. 4. More small spotted larvae are seen when hybridize with less appeared of the small spots of females and males which have the small spots than more appeared of the small spots of females with none spotted of the males (Reference Table 2. C.G.)B.F.). 5. More larvae of the small spots and found in case of hybridize in a group of having small spots than none of the spots (H>E). 6. With the exception of the case (A.B), in the same type of cross breeding (C.D, E.F, G,H), more larvae of the smal1 spots are also found in case of hybridize with males of having the spots than none of the spots.
Background: This study used receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves to screen Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) skin melanoma data to identify and quantify the effects of socioeconomic factors on cause specific survival. Methods: 'SEER cause-specific death classification' used as the outcome variable. The area under the ROC curve was to select best pretreatment predictors for further multivariate analysis with socioeconomic factors. Race and other socioeconomic factors including rural-urban residence, county level % college graduate and county level family income were used as predictors. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to identify and quantify the independent socioeconomic predictors. Results: This study included 49,999 parients. The mean follow up time (SD) was 59.4 (17.1) months. SEER staging (ROC area of 0.08) was the most predictive foctor. Race, lower county family income, rural residence, and lower county education attainment were significant univariates, but rural residence was not significant under multivariate analysis. Living in poor neighborhoods was associated with a 2-4% disadvantage in actuarial cause specific survival. Conclusions: Racial and socioeconomic factors have a significant impact on the survival of melanoma patients. This generates the hypothesis that ensuring access to cancer care may eliminate these outcome disparities.

This study explores the influence of health behaviors and individual attributes on adolescent overweight and obesity using data from Wave II (Add Health). Structural equation model/ path analysis using maximum likelihood estimation was utilized to analyze the relationships of health behaviors and attributes with obesity. Results of the model reveal that the causal paths (adolescents' attributes and health behaviors) for overweight and obesity were different for African American and Caucasian adolescents. Generally, African Americans were more susceptible to overweight and obesity than Caucasians. Although increasing levels of vigorous physical activities lowers the risk for obesity among African American and Caucasian adolescents alike, low family SES and being sedentary were associated with overweight and obesity among Caucasians. No significant associations were found among African Americans. Increased hours of sleep at night relate positively with obesity among African Americans. These findings suggest important elements in the consideration of race in developing effective intervention and prevention approaches for curbing the obesity epidemic among U.S. adolescents.

This paper presents theoretical analysis of the NRRO(non-repeatable run-out) for a ball bearing with geometric imperfection. The 3DOF dynamic analysis of a ball bearing using the Newton-Raphson method is performed to calculate the displacement of shaft center. Frequency and magnitude characteristics of radial and axial vibrations are investigated. The ball form errors of the ball, the inner race, and the outer race in a HDD spindle ball bearing are precisely measured. NRRO of a ball bearing is analyzed by using the measured waviness data. It is concluded that dominant components of radial vibrations are ${\Large}f_c\;and\;2{\Larg}f_b{\pm}{\Large}f_c$, and dominant component of axial vibrations is $2{\Large}f_b$. These are generated by the size error and the second waviness of the balls.
Within the field of international adoption, little research has examined the involvement of fathers in cultural socialization practices. Using secondary data analysis with a sample of 332 international adoptive fathers and mothers, the present study examined international adoptive fathers' cultural socialization practices and compared these practices with those of international adoptive mothers. The results indicated that 1) family cultural socialization practices mainly engaged in by fathers were those that require little to no integration with people of the children's race and/or ethnicity, and 2) fathers' awareness or practices were found to be similar to those of mothers. This study illustrates the importance of continuing research on fathers' beliefs, attitudes, and practices in relation to the race and birth culture of their internationally adopted children.
