Even though three isotypes of thioredoxins (-f, -m and -h types) have been identified in a variety of plant cells, there are only a few reports on thioredoxin-h that were recently identified. In this study, a cDNA encoding a h-type of thioredoxin was isolated from a cDNA library of Chinese cabbage, and named here CTrx-h. An open reading frame of the gene contained a polypeptide of 133 amino acids with a conserved active center, WCGPC, which appeared in all of the thioredoxin proteins. A deduced amino acid sequence of the CTrx-h showed the highest sequence identity with those of Arabidopsis thioredoxin-h2 (75.2%) and thioredoxin-h5 (46.6%) proteins, but it shared a low sequence homology to other isotypes of plant thioredoxinm and thioredoxin-f. The CTrx-h protein that is expressed in E. coli represented not only an insulin reduction activity, but also electron transferring activity from NADPH to thioredoxin-dependent peroxidase. A genomic Southern blot analysis using the cDNA insert of CTrx-h revealed that the gene consisted of a small multigene family in Chinese cabbage genome. On the contrary to other thioredoxin-h proteins that were widely distributed in most tissues of the plant, the CTrx-h was predominantly expressed in flowers. The expression was very low in other tissues. The data of the Northern blot analysis suggests that the CTrx-h may have other functions in flower development or differentiation, in addition to its defensive role.

For effective building maintenance, the collection and management of various maintenance date such as work history information and material information is required. Despite the introduction of information management technologies and systems to reduce the amount of maintenance work of buildings, which have become larger and more complex, the maintenance information is not being utilized properly. As an alternative, research on the introduction and utilization of BIM is being conducted continuously. However, the BIM models generated at the design phase are not utilized in practice due to a lack of architectural maintenance information. This study proposed a COBie document prototype to support BIM-based smart maintenance tasks performed by building managers. In order to formalize various types of maintenance work procedures, a BIM-based maintenance process model is presented in two categories: inspection and maintenance. Among the BIM attribute data of the BIM model generated at the design phase, the parameters corresponding to the maintenance necessary information for each basic process are derived. Based on this, we proposed a COBie document prototype consisting of seven spreadsheets. The results of a case study confirmed that the KBIMS library-based BIM model created at the design phase without the maintenance information can be used at the maintenance phase.
The BLAST server for the mollusk was constructed on the basis of the Intel Server Platform SC-5250 dual Xeon 2.8 GHz cpu and Linux operating system. After establishing the operating system, we installed NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information) WebBLAST package after web server configuration for cgi (common gate interface) (http://chimp.kribb.re.kr/mollusks). To build up the stand alone blast, we conducted as follows: First, we downloaded the genome information (mitochondria genome information), DNA sequences, amino acid sequences related with mollusk available at NCBI. Second, it was translated into the multifasta format that was stored as database by using the formatdb program provided by NCBI. Finally, the cgi was used for the Stand Alone Blast server. In addition, we have added the vector, Escherichia coli, and repeat sequences into the server to confirm a potential contamination. Finally, primer3 program is also installed for the users to design the primer. The stand alone BLAST gave us several advantages: (1) we can get only the data that agree with the nucleotide sequence directly related with the mollusks when we are searching BLAST; (2) it will be very convenient to confirm contamination when we made the cDNA or genomic library from mollusks; (3) Compared to the current NSBI, we can quickly get the BLAST results on the mollusks sequence information.

The purpose of this study was to investigate research trends of the articles in Math-Educational journals between 1998 and 2006 in a bid to discuss whether the articles evenly dealt with different fields and whether studies on elementary mathematics education were in line with the 7th national curricula. It's basically meant to determine some of the right directions for future research on elementary mathematics education. The articles included in Math-Educational journals during the selected period were analyzed to find out the theme, area, method and subjects of the studies and when the studies were conducted. After checking National Assembly Digital Library by inputting a keyword 'elementary mathematics', 235 articles were found, and a content analysis was carried out, and statistical data on percentage were obtained. The results of this study were as follows: First, there had been steady research efforts about elementary mathematics education, as 20 or 30 studies had been conducted on a yearly basis. Second, as for theme of research, the most common themes were instructional design and method(25.5%), and an analysis of curricula and textbook(15.3%) was the second most dominant theme. Third, regarding the area of study, the most widely investigated area was number and operation (30.0%), followed by character/expression(27.8%), figure (23.9%), regularity/function (8.9%), probability/statistics(5.6%), and measurement (3.9%). Fourth, concerning the method of research, didactical analysis(43.8%) was most prevalent, followed by quantitative research(29.8%), qualitative research(16.6%) and a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches(9.8%). Fifth, as to subjects, many of the studies(21.7%) investigated upper graders. In conclusion, it has to be accomplished the impartial researches for the whole area in order to develop elementary mathematics education and attain the objects of the 7th national curricula.
The flavor extracts of Mideoduck muscle and its juices were concentrated by simultaneous distillation and extraction (SDE) and solid-phase microextraction (SPME) methods. Each component present in the extracts was identified with GC and GC-MS by the n-paraffin hydrocarbon retention index and standard MS library data system. By SDE, $371.3\;{\mu}g/g$ of hexanal, $80.1\;{\mu}g/g$ of 1-tridecanol, $72.1\;{\mu}g/g$ of (Z)-4,5-dimethylhex-2-en-4-ol with other alcohols, aldehydes and acids were present in the flavor extracts, with the alcohols having the highest composition and being the most important factor in Mideoduck muscle flavor. By SPME, 9 alcohols, 1 acid, 1 aldehyde, 1 hydrocarbon, 1 ester, 1 amine and 2 ketones were detected in the extracts, with alcohol such as 1-nonanol, 1-decanol and 1-tridecanol as the major components. In SPME, the muscle sample, consisting of $31.6\;{\mu}g/g$ of 1-nonanol, $20.3\;{\mu}g/g$ of (E)-2-butenedioic acid dibutylester, and $26.7\;{\mu}g/g$ of heptadecanoic acid made up the 62.1% of total flavor extracts of Mideoduck muscle. The results of the SPME methods were similar to the composition of the raw material flavor of the sample even at a low concentration.

The Ocean is a rich source of diverse living organisms include viruses. In this study, we examined the microbial communities in the sea adjacent to Jeju Island in two seasons by metatranscriptomics. We collected and extracted total RNA, and, using the next-generation sequencing HiSeq 2000 and de novo transcriptome assembly, we identified 652,984 and 163,759 transcripts from the March and December samples, respectively. The most abundant organisms in March were bacteria, while eukaryotes were dominant in the December sample. The bacterial communities differed between the two samples, suggesting seasonal change. To identify the viruses, we searched the transcripts against a viral reference database using MegaBLAST with the most identified being bacteriophages infecting the marine bacteria. However, we also revealed an abundance of transcripts associated with diverse herpesviruses in the two transcriptomes, indicating the presence or possible threat of infection of fish in the sea around Jeju Island. This data is valuable for the study of marine microbial communities and for identifying possible viral pathogens.

In recent years, there have been many cases of damage to indoor air hazardous materials, and major damage due to the lack of quick action. In this regard, the system is intended to establish for sending push messages to the user's mobile when the concentration of hazardous substances is exceeded. This system extracts data with IoT system such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi and then constructs database through MongoDB and MySQL in cloud computing system. The database is imported through the application server using NodeJS and sent to the application for visualization. Also, when receiving signals about a dangerous situation in IoT system, push message is sent using Google FCM library. Mobile application is developed using Android Web view, and page to enter Web view is developed using HTML5 (HTML, Javascript CSS). The application of this system enables real-time monitoring of indoor air-dangerous substances. In addition, real-time information on indoor/outdoor detection location and concentration can be sent to the user's mobile in case of a risk situation, which can be expected to help the user respond quickly.
We introduce a Korean speech recognition platform (ECHOS) developed for education and research Purposes. ECHOS lowers the entry barrier to speech recognition research and can be used as a reference engine by providing elementary speech recognition modules. It has an easy simple object-oriented architecture, implemented in the C++ language with the standard template library. The input of the ECHOS is digital speech data sampled at 8 or 16 kHz. Its output is the 1-best recognition result. N-best recognition results, and a word graph. The recognition engine is composed of MFCC/PLP feature extraction, HMM-based acoustic modeling, n-gram language modeling, finite state network (FSN)- and lexical tree-based search algorithms. It can handle various tasks from isolated word recognition to large vocabulary continuous speech recognition. We compare the performance of ECHOS and hidden Markov model toolkit (HTK) for validation. In an FSN-based task. ECHOS shows similar word accuracy while the recognition time is doubled because of object-oriented implementation. For a 8000-word continuous speech recognition task, using the lexical tree search algorithm different from the algorithm used in HTK, it increases the word error rate by $40\%$ relatively but reduces the recognition time to half.
Species belonging to the genus Fusarium are widely distributed and cause diseases in many plants. Isolation of fungal strains from air or cereals is necessary for disease forecasting, disease diagnosis, and population genetics [1]. Previously we showed that Fusarium species are resistant to toxoflavin produced by the bacterial rice pathogen Burkholderia glumae while other fungal genera are sensitive to the toxin, resulting in the development of a selective medium for Fusarium species using toxoflavin [2]. In this study, we have tried to elucidate the resistant mechanism of F. graminearum against toxoflavin and interaction between the two pathogens in nature. To test whether B. glumae affects the development of F. graminearum, the wild-type F. graminearum strains were incubated with either the bacterial strain or supernatant of the bacterial culture. Both conditions increased the conidial production five times more than when the fungus was incubated alone. While co-incubation resulted in dramatic increase of conidial production, conidia germination delayed by either the bacterial strain or supernatant. These results suggest that certain factors produced by B. glumae induce conidial production and delay conidial germination in F. graminearum. To identify genes related to toxoflavin resistance in F. graminearum, we screened the transcriptional factor mutant library previously generated in F. graminearum [3] and identified one mutant that is sensitive to toxoflavin. We analyzed transcriptomes of the wild-type strain and the mutant strain under either absence or presence of toxoflavin through RNAseq. Expression level of total genes of 13,820 was measured by reads per kilobase per million mapped reads (RPKM). Under the criteria with more than two-fold changes, 1,440 genes were upregulated and 1,267 genes were down-regulated in wild-type strain than mutant strain in response to toxoflavin treatment. A comparison of gene expression profiling between the wild type and mutant through gene ontology analysis showed that genes related to metabolic process and oxidation-reduction process were highly enriched in the mutant strain. The data analyses will focus on elucidating the resistance mechanism of F. graminearum against toxoflavin and the interaction between the two pathogens in rice. Further evolutionary history will be traced through figuring out the gene function in populations and in other filamentous fungi.
For the sake of the Restoration(to the original state) of "Sanbeon-bang(刪繁方)", in this study observed carefully the bibliographical results of "Oedaebiyo-bang", "Cheongeumyo-bang", "Cheongeumik-bang" and "Uisim-bang", which directly quoted "Sanbeon-bang". "Sanbeon-bang" is mostly remained in "Oedaebiyo-bang", and the other provisions of "Sanbeon-bang" mostly lie scattered in "Cheongeumyo-bang" and "Cheongeumik-bang", established 100years before "Oedaebiyo-bang" and "Uisim-bang", established 200years after "Oedaebiyo-bang". And there are few other documents which quoted the "Sanbeon-bang". "Cheongeumyo-bang", a synthetic medical work was compiled in 652, and which refered large quantity of medical documents before Dang-dynasty(唐代) by Son Sa-mak(孫思邈). And he linked the technical opinion of himself. The comments of medicine, as well as the prescriptions are refleting the outcome before Dang-dynasty systematically. For the most part of the medical arguments in "Sanbeon-bang" lie scattered in "Cheongeumyo-bang". "Cheongeumik-bang", also a synthetic medical work which is for the sake of supplement of "Cheongeumyo-bang" was complied in 682 by Son Sa-mak. As well as "CheongeumYo-bang" it doesn't make clear the sources of quotation from "Sanbeon-bang". So it used as the data for confirmation. "Oedaebiyo-bang" was compiled in 752 of Dang-Dynasty by Wang Do(王燾) the a governor-general of Eop-gun. Wang Do was descended from a noble family, and usually visited the palace and dealed with large number of books in Hongmunguan(弘文館), the national library. He programmed the book on the base of wide scopic collection of medical documents. And he took charge of gverment post at the same time as Wang Bing(王氷) who compiled "Chaju-Hwangje-Naegyeong-Somun(次注黃帝內經素問)" in 762. So we can guess they might have seen the same documents and holded the medical knowledge in common. The 40 volume "Oedaebiyo-bang" was a great medical complete book in those days. In particular, it became the model of medical complete books of after ages. The description of the book is mostly the qutation of medical documents of before ages. The character is recording of quotation documents and the order of volume. On the base of the recording, we can reconstruct the table of contents of Sanbeon-bang. By way of the contens, we can understand the purpose of "Sanbeon-bang". Besides, I can see a lot of qouotations of "Sanbeon-bang" in "Cheongeum-bang" and "Uisim-bang" are repeatedly quotated in "Oedaebiyo-bang". For that reason, I observed the bibliographical results of "Oedaebiyo-bang" in detail. "Uisim-bang" was compiled in 982 by the Japanese Niwayasyori(丹波綱賴). It followed the example of the structure of "Oedaebiyo-bang", refered to the contents of "Cheongeumyo-bang", collected chinese medical classic books spreaded in Japan. It contains medical documents of before Su-Dang(隋唐)-era, indicated the source of quotation. The importance of the book is summarization and preservation of large quantity of chinese medicine before 10th century. In this study, a lot of the quotation in "Uisim-bang" from "Sanbeon-bang" were not in "Oedaebiyo-bang".
