SPECT filter의 cut off level에 따른 반폭치(FWHM) 크기에 관한 연구 (A study of Full Width at Half Maximum(FWHM) according to the Filter's Cut off level in SPECT camera)

  • 영상재구성에 있어 잡음(noise)을 제거하고 공간 분해능과 대조도 분해능을 향상시킬 수 있는 filter에서 cut off 주파수 level에 따라 영상의 질에 영향을 미치는 경향을 반폭치(FWHM : full width at half maximum)측정방법을 이용하여 비교하였다. 선택한 filter의 종류는 Band-limited, Sheep-logan, Sheep-logan Hanning, Generalized Hamming, Low pass cosine, Parazen, 그리고 Butterworth filter이다. SPECT 영상을 기록하기 위한 점선원(point source)으로 방사성의약품 $^{99m}TcO_4$을 이용하였으며 점선원에 대하여 각각의 filter에서 cut off 주파수 준위별로 영상을 기록하고 axial transverse, coronal sagittal... fh의 section image의 profile 곡선에서 반폭치을 측정하여 비교하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 filter들에 있어서는 cut off level에 따라 X, Y, 그리고 Z축 방향으로의 평균 FWHM의 길이가 $9.16\;mm{\sim}18.14\;mm$까지 측정되었는데 cut off level 0.7에서 Generalized Hamming filter와 Band limited filter의 경우 9.16 mm로 반폭치의 길이가 제일 짧은 것으로 나타났다.

The improvement of cut-off probe for measuring plasma density at hard conditions

  • Diagnostics of plasma density is a key factor for monitoring plasma processing. Various probes are invented to measure plasma density and cut-off probe is a one of the most promising diagnostics tool for measuring plasma density. However, at the low density or high pressure the cut-off probe cannot clearly resolve the cut-off peak. Several reasons make this problem: Cut-off likes peaks caused by cavity resonances and weaken transmission spectrum signal at high pressure. Recently, You et al., have researched mechanism of cut-off probe and we improve the cut-off reliability and sensitivity base on that research. Modified cut-off antenna is adapted and bias cut-off probe method is tried. These experiment results have good agreement with the previous study and show good measurement characteristics.

  • Although the cut-off probe, a precise measurement method for the electron density, is widely used in the industry, the physics on the wave spectrum of the cut-off is not understood yet, only cut-off point frequency containing the information of electron density has been analyzed well. This paper analyzes the microwave frequency spectrum of the cut-off probe to see the physics behind using both microwave field simulation (CST Microwave Studio) and simplified circuit simulation. The result shows that the circuit model well reproduces the cut-off wave spectrum especially in the low frequency regime where the wavelength of the driving frequency is larger than the characteristic length and reveals the physics of transmission characteristics with frequency as resonances between vacuum, plasma and sheath. Furthermore, by controlling the time domain in solver of the microwave simulator, the cut-off like transmission peaks above the cut-off frequency which has been believed as cavity effect is verified as chamber geometry effect. The result of this paper can be used as the basis for the improvement of cut-off probe.

  • This paper presents the output filter design and the output characteristic analysis by cut-off frequency set up of the LCR filter on NPC multi-level inverter with trap-filter. The single-phase NPC three-level inverter operates at low switching frequency. The proposed LC trap filter is comprised of a conventional LCR output filter, by using LC trap filter the need for high damping resistor and low LC cut-off frequency is eliminated. Also. low damping resistor is increased the output filter system. The multilevel inverter system used NPC type inverter in proper system for high power application and controller is used DSP(TMS320C31). The effectiveness of proposed system confirmed the validity through SPICE simulation and experimental results.

  • It is investigated the cut-off frequency of Z-cut quartz microstrip low pass filter by the variation of applied electric field. Designed microstrip filter was simulated using the Ensemble v7.0(Ansoft). As a result of the experiment, the cut-off frequency showed 50 MHz shift when the applied electric field was 3 kV/cm.

A Fully Differential RC Calibrator for Accurate Cut-off Frequency of a Programmable Channel Selection Filter

  • A fully differential RC calibrator for accurate cut-off frequency of a programmable channel selection filter is proposed. The proposed RC calibrator consists of an RC timer, clock generator, synchronous counter, digital comparator, and control block. To verify the proposed RC calibrator, a six-order Chebyshev programmable low-pass filter with adjustable 3 dB cut-off frequency, which is controlled by the proposed RC calibrator, was implemented in a $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology. The channel selection filter with the proposed RC calibrator draws 1.8 mA from a 1.8 V supply voltage and the measured 3 dB cut-off frequencies of the channel selection LPF is controlled accurately by the RC calibrator.

임신여성의 철영양상태와 철결핍상태 판정을 위한 Hb, Hct, TIBC, sTfR 및 sTfR:ferritin 비의 임계수준 평가s (Iron Status of Pregnant Women and Evaluation of Cut-off Levels of Hb, Hct, TIBC, sTfR, sTfR:ferritin Ratio for Assessment of Iron Deficiency)

  • This study was performed to determine the changes of maternal iron status during pregnancy cross sectionally, and to evaluate the appropriateness of the cut-off points of hemoglobin (Hb). hematocrit (Hct), serum transferrin receptor (sTfR) and sTfR : ferritin ratio for assessing iron deficiency status based on serum ferritin level (< 12${\mu}g$/L). Serum Hb concentrations in the first trimester were significantly higher (p < 0.05) than those in the second and third trimester. Serum levels of iron and ferritin in the third trimester were significantly lower (p < 0.05) than those in the first and second trimester. On the other hand, sTfR:ferritin ratios in the third trimester were significantly higher (p < 0.05) than those in the first and second trimester. sTfR concentrations did not change significantly during pregnancy. The appropriate cut-off points of Hb were 11.5g/dL for whole period of pregnancy. 12.0g/dL for 1st trimester. and 11.5g/dL for both 2nd and 3rd trimester. The good cut-off points of Hct were 34% for whole period of pregnancy. 36% for 1st trimester. and 34% for both 2nd and 3rd trimester The suitable cut-off points of TIBC were 400${\mu}g$/dL for whole period of pregnancy. 360${\mu}g$/dL for 1st trimester, and 400${\mu}g$/dL for both 2nd and 3rd trimester. Any cut-off point of sTfR could not be selected because of its low sensitivity and specificity. The proper cut-off point of sTfR : ferritin ratio was 600 or 650 for all the periods determined except the first trimester. In conclusion, there were no reliable cut-off levels of sTfR and those of sTfR : ferritin ratio showed low specificity. The cut-off values of Hb and Hct for assessing iron deficiency were slightly higher than the values used to evaluate anemia. Thus, if appropriate cut-off levels were applied, Hb. Hct, or TIBC might be useful indices for evaluating iron deficiency as well as anemia.

단일광자방출전산화단층촬영(SPECT)을 위한 주파수 변동에 따른 분해능 비교평가 (Comparative Evaluation of Resolution according to Frequency Change for SPECT)

  • SPECT 장치에서 반치폭은 분해능을 평가할 수 있는 척도가 되므로, 본 연구에서는 검출기가 각각 2개와 3개가 있는 장치를 이용하여 우리나라에서 가장 많이 사용되는 7개의 필터 - Band limited, Sheep-logan, Hanning, Hamming, Low pass cosine, Parazen and Butterworth - 에 대해 세 개의 점선원으로 filter별로 MTF curve를 얻어 각각의 축방향에 따른 cut off level 과 profile 곡선을 이용하여 반치폭(FWHM)의 크기의 변화를 관찰하였다. 실험 결과 모든 filter에서 cut off level 0.4였을 때 가장 큰 반치폭의 길이가 측정되어 분해능이 가장 떨어졌고, cut off level 0.7에서 가장 높은 분해능을 보였다. MS2에서 가장 짧은 반치폭은 Butterworth filter사용시 $11.07\pm0.07mm$이었으며, MS3에서는 Hanning filter사용시 $8.44\pm0.19mm$로 나타났다.

  • The measurement of $17{\alpha}$-hydroxyprogesterone ($17{\alpha}$-OHP) in a dried blood spot on filter paper is an important for screening of congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). Since high levels of $17{\alpha}$-OHP are frequently observed in premature infants without congenital adrenal hyperplasia, we evaluated cuts-off based on birth weight and performed validation. Birth weight and $17{\alpha}$-OHP concentration data of 292,204 newborn screening subjects in Greencross labopratories were analyzed. The cut-off values based on birth weight were newly evaluated and validated with the original data. The mean $17{\alpha}$-OHP concentration were 7.25 ng/mL in very low birth weight (VLBW) group, 4.02 ng/mL in low birth weight (LBW) group, 2.53 g/mL in normal birth weight (NBW) group, and 2.24 ng/mL in heavy birth weight (HBW) group. The cut-offs for CAH were decided as follows: 21.12 ng/mL for VLBW and LBW groups and 11.14 ng/mL for NBW and HBW groups. When applied new cut-offs for original data, positive rates in VLBW and LBW groups were decreased and positive rates in NBW and HBW groups were increased. The cut-offs based on birth weight should be used in the screening for CAH. We believe that our new cut-off reduce the false positive rate and false negative rate and our experience for cut-off set up and validation will be helpful for other laboratories doing newborn screening test.

비상여수로 입구부의 차수벽 설치 효과 분석 (Effect of Cut-off Wall near the Entrance of Spillway Tunnel)

  • 투수성이 낮은 매질로 설치되는 차수벽(Cut-off wall)은 댐 지역 비상여수로 터널 지역에서 지하수의 흐름을 차단하기 위한 기능을 갖는다. 임하댐의 3개 비상여수로 터널 입구부에 차수벽 설치시 지하수 유입의 차단 효과를 평가하기 위하여 MODFLOW 모델링을 활용하였다. 규모와 설치 방향 등을 고려하여 3가지 차수벽 설치 방안이 검토되었는데, 모델링을 통하여 추정된 비상여수로 터널내로 유입되는 지하수량은 약 64.26~65.49 $m^3/day$이며, 이중에서 차수벽 구간을 통과하여 유입되는 지하수량은 약 44.08~45.31 $m^3/day$로서 방안별로 유사한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 본 연구지역에서는 방안별 차수 효과보다는 시공성, 환경파괴의 최소성 등을 고려하여 최적의 차수벽 설치 방안을 제안하였다.
