  • Minimalism describes various movements in art and design, which flourished mainly in the USA in the 1960s. Its popularity, however, was cut short by post-modernism. In the mid-1990s, minimalism was given a second breath of life and became culturally popular, especially in areas such as design and art the minimalist movement launched some trends that supplanted post-modernism and whose influences still cast a heavy shadow on society today. From this point of view, in analyzing the form and characteristics of the artists and their work from the 1960s, which were the first generation of the minimalist furniture designers, it is necessary to understand and analyze contemporary artists and their art. In this study, four American minimal artists in the furniture design field, Donald Judd, Richard Tuttle, Scott Burton, and Richard Artschwager were studied along with their works. The results show the three distinct characteristics of minimalist furniture design featuring strict and simple geometric shapes: the form, which was influenced by early modernism variety and origin, which are formative of the materials and the way they are used as influenced by surrealism and a new concept of art such as aesthetics for the little things, which echoes influences of Dadaism, and especially of earlier artists such as Marcel Duchamp.

  • REcent research about current testing($\textrm{I}_{DDQ}$ testing) has been emphasizing that $\textrm{I}_{DDQ}$ testing in addition to the logical voltage testing is necessary to increase the fault coverage. The $\textrm{I}_{DDQ}$. testing can detect physical faults other than the classical stuck-at type fault, which affect reliability. One of the most critical issues in the $\textrm{I}_{DDQ}$ testing is to insert a built-in current sensor (BICS) that can detect abnormal static currents from the power supply or to the ground. This paper presents a new BICS for internal current testing for large CMOS logic circuits. The proposed BICS uses a single phase clock to minimize the hardware overhead. It detects faulty current flowing and converts it into a corresponding logic voltage level to make converts it into a corresponding logic voltage level to make it possible to use the conventional voltage testing techniqeus. By using current mirroring technique, the proposed BICS can work at very high speed. Because the proposed BICS almost does not affects normal operation of CUT(circuit under test), it can be used to a very large circuit without circuit partitioning. By altenating the operational modes, a circuit can be $\textrm{I}_{DDQ}$-tested as a kind of self-testing fashion by using the proposed BICS.

  • Recently, object detection is a critical function for any system that uses computer vision and is widely used in various fields such as video surveillance and self-driving cars. However, the conventional methods can not detect the objects clearly because of the dynamic background change in the beach. In this paper, we propose a new technique to detect humans correctly in the dynamic videos like shores. A new background modeling method that combines spatial GMM (Gaussian Mixture Model) and temporal GMM is proposed to make more correct background image. Also, the proposed method improve the accuracy of people detection by using SVM (Support Vector Machine) to classify people from the objects and KCF (Kernelized Correlation Filter) Tracker to track people continuously in the complicated environment. The experimental result shows that our method can work well for detection and tracking of objects in videos containing dynamic factors and situations.

  • A workflow is a flow of work supported by computers. An instance of a workflow is called case. Companies need to constantly refine their current workflows in order to meet various requirements. The change of current workflows is called dynamic change of the workflow. Since Ellis et al. proposed three change types, Flush, Abort, and Synthetic Cut-Over in 1995, various change types have been proposed. A promising change type is Migrate proposed by Sadiq et al., because Migrate changes workflow definitions immediately and makes the redo of cases minimum. However, the formal modeling and time-dependent analysis of Migrate has not been done. This paper proposes a method of computing change time of Migrate dynamic changes for time-dependent analysis. Change time is a measure for evaluating dynamic changes. We first show a Petri-nets-based model of Migrate dynamic changes. Then we present a method of computing change time based on the net model. Finally, we apply the method to 270 examples, and show experimental results, and comparison with Ellis et al..'s three change types.

  • In Resin transfer molding (RTM), composite parts are produced by impregnation of a dry reinforcement with liquid matrix resin. Permeability is a key issue in this process. For thin parts, the resin flow in the thickness direction can be neglected. Therefore thin parts are considered as two-dimensional composites. However the resin flow through the thickness is important to thicker parts and we have to consider out-of-plane permeability. This work discusses a method to measure out-of-plane permeability. The flow rate and pressure drop across the porous media were measured. Also one dimensional form of Darcy's law is applied to calculate the out-of-plane permeability of various preforms. The flow is injected uniformly into layers of the preform. And a circular fiber mat with 6cm diameter was cut and flattened from cylindrical mandrel.

Also the following conclusions were obtained analysis of stress distribution displacement and finite elements method(FEM) on assemble parts with 3+2 axis simultaneous control through grinding and gave a load 11kg on ATC arm both sides gave a load of 11kg. For the centerline average roughness(Ra) in the heat and non-heat treatment work pieces, which were appeared the most favorable in the fifth section were $0.511{\mu}m$ and $0.514{\mu}m$, that were shown in the near the straight line section was the smallest deformation of curve. In addition, the bad surface roughness appeared on the path is too long by changing angle, the more inclined depth of cut, because the chip discharging is not smoothly.

  • This paper describes an investigation about the fluid delivering method that minimizes the generation of hydrodynamic pressure and improves the grinding accuracy. Traditionally, grinding fluid is delivered for the purpose of cooling, chip flushing and lubrication. Hence, a number of conventional investigations are focused on the delivering method to maximize fluid flux into the contact arc between the grinding wheel and the work piece. It is already known that hydrodynamic pressure generates due to this fluid flux, and that it affects the overall grinding resistance and machining accuracy. Especially in the ultra-precision mirror grinding process that requires extremely small amount of cut per pass, its influence on the machining accuracy becomes more significant. Therefore, in this paper, a new delivering method of grinding fluid is proposed with focus on minimizing the hydrodynamic pressure effect. Experimental data indicates that the proposed method is effective not only to minimize the hydrodynamic pressure but also to improve the machining accuracy.

  • High speed ball end milling is attracting interest in the aerospace industry for the machining of complex 31) airfoil surfaces in nickel based superalloys, Experimental work is detailed on the effect of cutter orientation on tool life, cutting forces, chip formation, specific force and workpiece surface roughness, when high speed ball end milling nickel based supperalloy(lnconel 718). Dry cutting was performed using 8min diameter solid carbide cutters coated with either TiA1N or CrN for the workpiece mounted at an angle of 45˚ from the cutter axis. A horizontal downwards cutting orientation provided the best tool life with cut lengths~50% longer than for all other directions. Evaluation of cutting forces and associated spectrum analysis of results indicated that cutters employed in a horizontal downwards direction produced the least vibration.

  • The biocompatibility and the fatigue strength of Co-Cr-Mo alloy are excellent, so it is used well for the material of artificial joints. The head of artificial joint needs mirror surface for reduction of abrasive resistance. Mirror finishing of Co-Cr-Mo alloy with geometrically defined single crystal diamond cutting tools is handicapped by micro chipping of tool edge. In general, it is said that the micro chipping of diamond tool is caused by work hardening of Co-Cr-Mo alloy for the cut. In the present research, mirror finishing of Co-Cr-Mo alloy by applying ultrasonic elliptical vibration cutting was carried out. The experimental results show that the micro chipping of diamond tool was suppressed and the tool wear was remarkably reduced as compared with the ordinary diamond cutting without elliptical vibration motion. It was confirmed that the good mirror surface of maximum surface roughness of 25 nmP-V was obtained for the cutting length of about 14 m. It is expected that mirror finishing of Co-Cr-Mo alloy can be achieved by applying ultrasonic elliptical vibration cutting practically.
