  • This research has four specific objectives: (1) identifying factors that affect customer satisfaction with less than container load (LCL) cargo services of logistics companies in HoChiMinh City (HCMC), (2) measuring the level of impact of the factors, (3) testing the difference in satisfaction among groups of customers with different characteristics in terms of type of business and time of using LCL cargo services, and (4) proposing some management implications to improve the quality of LCL cargo services. Researchers interviewed 210 customers who enjoyed the LCL cargo service in HCMC for at least the last six months, using the convenient sampling method. SPSS 20 was used to analyze the reliability of the scale through the Cronbach's alpha coefficient, then exploratory factor analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were used. The results identified the six factors that influence positively customer satisfaction of LCL cargo services of logistics companies in HCMC, by decreasing importance: service process, image, resource, price, management, and outcomes. The results show that there is no difference in customer satisfaction with LCL cargo services by types of business as well as time of using services. The research suggests some implications for the management of logistics companies in HCMC to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Logistics service is one of the most frequently addressed competitive edges exercised by container terminals that face fierce competition. Many of researches have tried to assess the logistics service quality and attempted to propose the strategic ways to manage it. However, it has been known that quality is a multi-dimensional construct and not all quality attributes are viewed as equally important to customers. Each quality attribute has different implications for customer satisfaction. Timko (1993) has developed customer satisfaction (CS) coefficient based on Kano model. The CS coefficient is indicative of how strongly a service quality may influence customer satisfaction. This study attempted to identify the satisfying/dissatisfying quality factors using Kano model and CS coefficient. In so doing, several satisfying and dissatisfying quality attributes in logistics service quality were identified.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the factors affecting satisfaction and dissatisfaction of e-learning learner students using Kano model and Timko's customer satisfaction coefficient. The results of the analysis showed that firstly, the students are highly satisfied when it is convenient to learn visually and audibly, when the students can ask questions at any time, and when the professor was interested in the students. Second, the rational criteria and accurate evaluation of grades and assignments were confirmed as factors that should be satisfied. Third, unlike the results of the basic study that the students use e-learning due to the convenience of learning time and learning space and the ease of learning process, it is no longer an attractive factor to use e-learning. The results of this study suggest that it is possible to present effective directions for the development of e-learning education and strategic application of each factor classified by the two-dimensional recognition method.

  • Purpose - This study aims to investigate the effect of brand image and trust of a home meal replacement (HMR) industry on customer satisfaction and repurchase during online shopping. Research design, data, and methodology - With 217 questionnaires, this study was conducted by AMOS 20.0, and the Structural Equation Model (SEM) as statistical method was used for examining the hypotheses in this study. Factors such as brand image and brand trust in customer shopping for HMR products online were tested, and relationships between satisfaction and repurchase were studied. Results - Brand image and brand trust in terms of online shopping for HMR were found to affect satisfaction significantly; in addition, the path where satisfaction leads to repurchase was found to be significant. However, brand image and brand trust for HMR in online shopping differed depending on customer age groups. The path-coefficients from brand image of HMR in online shopping to satisfaction were more significant in the older age group; meanwhile, the path-coefficient from brand trust to satisfaction was significant in the younger age group. Conclusions - Results of the study suggested the importance of the attributes for buying HMR products online and provided meaningful implications of difference between age groups when they choose the products.

  • The purpose of this study is to classify the quality attributes of service quality for the elderly in public libraries, derive satisfaction coefficients and dissatisfaction coefficients, and present the priority improvement of service quality. To this end, a survey was organized with 22 questions from LibQUAL+ for elderly users who use library in uiseong-gun, gyeongsangbuk-do. Quality factors for service were classified into three areas of LibQUAL+ based on the kano model, and the satisfaction index and dissatisfaction index felt by users for each service quality were calculated through timko's customer satisfaction coefficient. Based on this, a Potential Customer Satisfaction Improvement index (PCSI index) was obtained to determine how much user satisfaction can be improved when actual requirements are met. As a result of classification of quality attributes of service quality, it was classified into 9 attractive quality, 7 one-dimensional quality, 1 indifference quality, and 5 must-be quality. In the improvement ranking for service, the first place was 'making electronic resources accessible from my home or office', the second place was 'print and/or electronic journal collections I require for my work' and the third place was 'a library web site enabling me to locate information on my'. It is expected that the study results can be used to present quality factors that should be managed and improved first when providing services for the elderly.

  • The two-way quality theory has been widely used as a method for classifying quality attributes for several decades. In particular, the Kano model that classifies attributes into not just conventional one-dimensional but must-be and attractive has gained popularity due to its applicability and ease of use. However, the wordings of the five alternatives in the Kano's questionnaire has been criticised for unclear meanings. This study proposes a new two-way model to classify attributes using 5-point Likert scale alternatives. For this, the current paper investigated a case of TV sets to examine how the proposed model works in comparison with the Kano model. The application results of the proposed model are different from the original one. The two-way model classifies quality attributes in more detail such as the "one-dimensional with an attractive tendency" attribute, which has a greater influence on satisfaction than dissatisfaction, the opposite "one-dimensional with a must-be tendency" attribute, and "highly one-dimensional" and "less one-dimensional" attributes. In this study, a potential satisfaction coefficient (PSC), a potential dissatisfaction coefficient (PDC), and an average potential coefficient (APC) to manage quality attributes are proposed and discussed for their utilization.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the potential effects of service quality measured in DA VINCI and STARBUCKS, which were local and overseas reputable takeout coffee shop brands respectively, upon customer satisfaction, revisit intention and word-of-mouth(WOM). In order to achieve the goal, a survey was conducted to total 230 customers who have ever visited and experienced coffee shops in Daegu metropolitan city, and valid and complete 217 copies of the questionnaire were used for the final data analysis. As a result, the determinant of customer satisfaction was coffee quality for STARBUCKS(n=94) while it included coffee quality, reliability and service attitude for DAVINCI(n=123). Respondents regarded coffee quality as the most important for revisit intention both in STARBUCKS and DAVINCI. Also, the determinants of WOM included coffee quality and reliability for STARBUCKS, and coffee quality and service attitude for DAVINCI. In addition, it was found that the path coefficient of service quality influencing both customer satisfaction and WOM proved to show partially significant difference between STARBUCKS and DAVINCI.

  • This study is an empirical study on the influence of workpieces on the research results until it became a marketing field, and a total of 94 questionnaires were used as research analysis data for the Chungcheongnam-do area. As a result of the analysis, first, among marketing orientations, business orientation was found to have a significant effect on growth (β=.405) and customer satisfaction (β=.330). Customer satisfaction of business orientation shows a low number, so there is a need for improvement. Second, customer satisfaction and growth showed a high correlation coefficient of .746, and showed a significant correlation of p<.01 or higher, so the correlation between variables was confirmed to be appropriate. Third, it was confirmed that there was a significant difference between groups in customer satisfaction according to the age and work experience of the survey subjects. The significance probability was .006, which showed a statistically significant result. This study is meaningful in providing basic data for improving the management strategy and actual performance of SMEs as a research on marketing orientation and management performance.
