The aim of this study is to develop of standard curriculum for University-level Program (UP) in environmental science. UP has much merit; for example, high school students can develop their road for future by the UP procedure which is related intimately with their choice of road for future. Environmental Science is the subject which is stable for UP's goals because of interated nature of environmental science. These goals and the increase of social demand made us proceed this study. So this study had developed a standard curriculum for UP in environmental science and designed in-service program for lecturers. This study analyzed the current situations and problems of the present environmental education in the university liberal arts and high school environmental science curriculum. As a result, most of environmental educations have been conducted mainly by an approach of natural science. Inevitably they should have limits in which students can't have holistic view in solve the environmental problem. Development of Standard Curriculum for UP in Environmental Science targeted on three points. The first point is the consideration for nature of talented high school students who have interests for environment. The second point is promotion of environmental literature for talented highschool students. The third point is the level of lecture, which we put together the lecture level on university general liberal arts. And designed the in-service program for lecturers, which constructed of six field and sisty hours.
This study was aimed at developing a common curriculum for the department of environmental education from 5 colleges of education. The need and background of curriculum reform can be summarized as follow; first, it has been recognized that new national curriculum of 2009 and 2011 created need for training teachers equipped with more integrated competency. Second, global environmental problems such as climate change and energy crisis asked for more responsible choice and action from all citizens. Third, the extremely low hiring rate resulted in the consideration of new working fields for teacher students majoring in environmental education. Fourth, the expansion of new environmental education paradigms including education for sustainable development called for practicing reconstruction of both contends and methods. From a series of research processes including analysis of current curriculum, DACUM, opinion survey and interest groups review, several new approaches for developing new curriculum had been identified as follow; first, content areas of environmental education should be extended beyond environmental natural science. Second, new learning approaches such as project-based learning need to be emphasized for strengthening the identity of environment as a separate subject. Third, more selective majoring system need to be applied in connection with environment government officials, researchers, and social environmental educators. It was recommended that the application of new curriculum developed by the study would be evaluated and managed by teaching conditions surrounding each of the five university members joined this developing processes. However, it needs to be noted that there is not much time because we had experienced zero hiring rate for the last 4 years and environmental policy and education programs are moving rapidly toward sustainable development.
The discussion about environmental education is a little new concept which emerged remarkably in late 1960s. The environmental education means the educational curriculum which make sure value understanding and conception to develop function and attitudes necessary for the proper understanding and evaluating the interaction between human beings and physical environment Centenng an important geographical paraingm for 'the interaction between human beings and physical environment', to make the students understand the concept of environment and know environmental problems are the tasks to be pursued in environmental education courses in the middle school geography classes. The reasonable understanding of environmental problems and voluntary participation through the efficient environmental education in middle school geography classes, not only the systemization of educational curriculum and other needed changes mentioned above, but also the development of policy and institution in national government accompanying with earnest attention and effort must be made in environmental education and other environment-related fields.

By utilizing various teaching and learning methods of science education the science subject on, however, approach the goals of environmental education, of ‘attitudes’ and ‘participation’.

By utilizing various teaching and learning methods of Socal studies education, We can approach the goals of environmental education: ‘attitudes’ and ‘participation’. We think that ‘problem solving ability’ is main teaching method” in Socal Studies.
This study aims to investigate the research trend of elementary environmental education. Thus, author keywords were extracted from a total of 197 academic these related to elementary environmental education during two different periods when detailed goals were applied to the 2007 and 2009 revised curriculums respectively, and then this study analyzed the network of author keywords. The results of this study can be summarized as below. Firstly, as a result of analyzing the frequency of author keywords from academic theses related to elementary environmental education, this study discovered 369 author keywords from the period when detailed goals were applied to 2009 revised curriculum. Out of them, it was found that the keyword, 'climate change education', showed the highest frequency, followed by 'environmental literacy' and 'environmental perception', except such central keywords as 'environmental education' and 'elementary school student'. From the period when detailed goals were applied to the 2007 revised curriculum, a total of 394 author keywords were discovered, and the keyword, 'environmental literacy', showed the highest frequency, followed by 'environmental perception' and 'ESD (education for sustainable development)'. Secondly, as a result of analyzing the network of author keywords, this study found out that in the total number of network connections, average connection degree, density and clique, the period when detailed goals were applied to the 2007 revised curriculum was somewhat higher than the period when detailed goals were applied to the 2009 revised curriculum. As a result of analyzing the centrality of author keywords, this study found out that during both the periods, 'environmental perception' and 'environmental literacy' were high in degree centrality and betweenness centrality, except such central keywords as 'environmental education' and 'elementary school student'. As a result of analyzing the components of author keywords as sub-networks, this study discovered 9 components from the period when detailed goals were applied to the 2009 revised curriculum and 6 components from the period when detailed goals were applied to the 2007 revised curriculum. During both the periods, the largest component was composed of keywords high in degree centrality and betweenness centrality.
In this study, the current status and the desirable ways for improvement of the examination system for the employment of the environmental education teachers in the secondary school were investigated. For the study, first, problems and reasons, and the counterplan of policy on the teacher connected directly with the examination employing secondary school teachers through exploration of the related literatures were analyzed; second, it was identified that the essential quality which environmental education teachers should have ready; third, the curriculum of environmental education teacher training universities and the seventh environmental curriculum were examined to provide a basis of discussion on the principle of setting questions for the employment of environmental education teachers; fourth, the number of recruitment, the number of examinee, the principle of setting questions, the composition of questions, and the distribution of scores of the examination which were carried out in the school year 2000 and 2001 were compared and analyzed; finally, the basis of the above analyses, recommendations to consider the examination system for the employment of environmental education teachers in the secondary school were presented as follows: first, the team managing the examination for the employment should reflect the aims and special contents of environmental education to discuss and decide the principle of setting questions on the environmental course; second, the proportion of subject matter education in the examination for environmental education teachers should be increased; third, the validity of questions for the examination should be clarified and the difficulty level of the questions should be low.

Environmental education is usually taught across the curriculum in most of the countries. This teaching approach has been a challenge for teachers to implement it especially in the Malaysian curriculum context. Thus, science teachers require effectual Pedagogical Content Knowledge of Environmental Education (PCK-EE). The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of teaching option and teaching experience on science teachers' PCK-EE. Five components of PCK-EE were investigated in this study, which were: a) knowledge of curriculum, b) knowledge of content, c) knowledge of student, d) knowledge of teaching strategies, and e) knowledge of evaluation. 347 secondary science teachers from the state of Selangor have participated in this survey study. The questionnaire used had 60 items. The findings revealed teaching option has a significant influence on science teachers' knowledge of content (p=0.000); knowledge of student (p=0.000) and knowledge of teaching strategies (p=0.016). In the case of teaching experience, it was found that there is a low correlation on knowledge of content (r=0.174) and knowledge of evaluation (r=0.170) only. Implication of this study leads to the suggestion in enhancing teachers' service training to improve their PCK-EE and subsequently their ability in teaching environmental education across curriculum.
This paper presents an analysis of the Teaching and Learning for a Sustainable Future (TLSF) program, an innovative teacher education and regular professional development by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) employing the curriculum analysis framework created by Posner. Using this framework the analyst found that the TLSF design is based on good research in regard to learning, teaching, and assessment now driving efforts to reform environmental teacher education. Ongoing development of the TLSF program in the research setting of an international level permits ever deeper connection with emerging curriculum theory and curriculum practice and allows new linkage as ideas are tested in research classrooms.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status and problems in environmental education by schools which was newly established in the 6th curriculum and to propose the future agendas for environmental education. Then, we have investigated teachers' consciousness about environmental education and analysed the 6th curriculum and textbooks at primary and secondary school levels. The result of this study was as follows. 1. Most teachers thought of 'participation' as important goal of environmental education, but they actually could not practice it because of various preventing factors. 2. Most teachers thought that there were no efforts to reform textbook system and school conditions. 3. The content and goal of environmental education was duplicated and vague in each subject. The suggestions for the improvement of the environmental education based on these conclusions were as follows. 1. The systematic goal strategy of environmental education must be established. 2. We must allot appropriate roles to each environment related subjects for efficient environmental education 3. The opportunity for pre-service and in-service for teachers of environmental education must be expanded.
