This paper proposes a new compensation algorithm for stator resistance that is crucial for improving the direct vector control performance of an induction motor. This algorithm is based on the flux estimator that is derived from the stator voltage equation. Since a flux estimator is dependent on the stator resistance, a flux error originates from the variation of the stator resistance. This parameter mismatch in the estimator thereafter affects the flux and torque response. Accordingly, a new compensator has been designed to offset this degradation in the responses. The proposed compensator is very simple to implement and does not require any modifications to the motor model or any special interruptions of the controller. The value of the stator resistance is attained in real time through measuring the terminal voltage and current. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme has been confirmed through both simulation and experimentation.
The time optimal position control design can be repeatedly taken from the initial state of a dynamic system to a desired one as fast as possible in the industrial drives. In this case, an induction machine parameters will vary due to temperature, frequency, and saturation effects. In particular, the rotor resistance changes critically with temperature and frequency. These changes affect the command values of the stator current components and slip speed. There is a mismatch between the commanded variables and actual ones of the induction motor drive, and this situation leads to coupling of the vector controller from the plant, i.e. the induction motor . Consequences of such a coupling include the initiation of oscillations of the rotor flux and unsuitable switching of electromagnetic torque for the induction motor servo drive. Therefore, this paper describes a rotor resistance parameter compensating method for the induction motor, And the validity of the proposed design method is confirmed by simulation studies and experiment results.
Internal stress of electrodeposited metals affect physical and mechanical characteristics of deposits. Internal stress of nickel deposits was reviewed intensively. Important outcomes are as follows. Substrate have an important effect on internal stress of electrodeposit. Origin of its internal stress could be explained mismatch of crystal lattice and coalescence of crystallites. When surface cleaning is not satisfying, instantaneous stress is low but the electrodeposited layer being thickened increasingly stress become to high and peeling phenomenon occurs. Effect of current density and temperature on internal stress is variable. Internal stress increases rapidly at pH 5 and above because of codepositing colloidal materials caused hydrolysis. Concentrations of nickel ion and $H_3BO_3$ ion affect little on internal stress and solution which contains impurities tend to increase stress. Especially impurities of $H_2O_2$ and iron ion have a great effect on internal stress. Additives are divided in two kind. One is increasing tensile stress another is increasing compressive stress. Concentrations of additives have a great effect on internal stress.
In this paper, some parameters are studied for the performance improvement of a bulk optical magnetic-field sensor. The performance of optical magnetic-field sensor is influenced by optical intensity change and wavelength change of light source, and phase shift so called optical bias mismatch. A magnetic field measuring system based on optical Faraday sensor is implemented and tested in the current range from 10 ampere to 200 ampere. The test result shows implemented system has goof linearity.
conflicting criterial used in identifying words have called the lexical integrity principle into question. That is, cases where the morphological word does not coincide with the syntactic word have notivated the syntactic view of word derivation, as pointed out by Bresnan and Mchombo(1995). Further, the implicit desire to make the clausal structure of Korean parallel to those posited for English(Chomsky 1991) and French(Pollock 1989) has also led most of the current literature on Korean morphology to claim that Korean verbal inflections head their own functional projections such as AgrP, TP, and MP im syntax. In this paper, I will first argue against such a syntactic view. After reviewing some basic properties of Korean verbal inflections, I will show that the evidence from mismatch phenomena supports the lexical integrity principle over the head-movement theories of word derivation. Then, I will propose a theory of lexical grammar which maintains the lexical integrity principle while retaining the effects of functional projections and syntactic movement.

1.3${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ surface-emitting GaInAsP/InP LED was fabricated by two-phase supercooling LPE technique. The lattice mismatch of the grown DH wafer was typically 0.03%. The processes involve SiO2 CVD, lithography, Zn diffusion, lift-off, lapping, annealing, and wire bonding. The fabricated LED shows the optical power of 600㎼ at 70mA driving current, differential resistance of 4$\Omega$, the f3dB of 35MHz, and the FWHM of 1040{{{{ ANGSTROM }}. The peak wavelength of the fabricated LED was at 1.29${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$(100mA).
The predictive speed control (PSC) strategy can realize the simultaneous control of speed and current by using one cost function. As a model-based control method, the performance of the PSC is vulnerable to model mismatches such as load torque disturbances and parameter uncertainties. To solve this problem, this paper presents a robust predictive speed control (RPSC) strategy for surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) drives. The proposed RPSC uses extended state observers (ESOs) to estimate the lumped disturbances caused by load torque changes and parameter mismatches. The observer-based prediction model is then compensated by using the estimated disturbances. The introduction of ESOs can achieve robustness against predictive model uncertainties. In addition, a modified cost function is designed to further suppress load torque disturbances. The performance of the proposed RPSC scheme has been corroborated by experimental results under the condition of load torque changes and parameter mismatches.

The normal low-cost manufacturing process for freeform vehicle side mirrors causes deviations from the design curvature. Here, an improved manufacturing process is proposed, combining photorealistic ray-traced visualization of each deviation and subsequent analysis of its deviated reflective scene compared to that of the original design. The proposed mechanism successfully highlights the overlap and mismatch regions of deviated reflected scenes with reference to the desired reflective scenes. We benchmarked the robustness of freeform mirror manufacturing by evaluating the 10, 20, and 30% root-mean-square (RMS) deviated curvature, and concluded that the acceptable deviation needs to be below RMS20% to avoid mismatched regions that could mislead the driver.

Experimental study on the fluidelastic instability (FEI) of a curved tube bundle in single phase downward cross flow is investigated for the design qualification and analysis input preparation of helical coiled steam generator tubing. A 6×9 normal square curved tube array with equal and different vertical/horizontal pitch-to-diameter ratio was under-tested up to 6 m/s in term of gap flow velocity to measure the critical velocity for FEI. The critical velocity for FEI was measured at the turning point from the vibration amplitude plot along the gap flow velocity. Our test results were compared with straight tube results and published data in the design guideline. The applicability of the current design guidelines to a curved tube bundle is also assessed. We found that introducing frequency difference in a curved tube array increases the critical velocity for fluidelastic instability.
This study aims to propose an automatic method of detecting vowel variation in the Korean dialects of Gyeong-sang and Jeol-la. The method is based on error patterns extracted using phone recognition. Canonical and recognized phone sequences are compared, and statistical analyses distinguish the vowels appearing in both dialects, the dialect-common vowels, and the vowels with high mismatch rates for each dialect. The dialect-common vowels show monophthongization of diphthongs. The vowels unique to the dialects are /we/ to [e] and /ʌ/ to [ɰ] for Gyeong-sang dialect, and /ɰi/ to [ɯ] in Jeol-la dialect. These results corroborate previous dialectology reports regarding phonetic realization of the Korean dialects. The current method provides a possibility of automatic explanation of the dialect patterns.
