  • This paper describes a method for the state estimation considering current measurement component and detection of the bad data. The state values are estimated by weighted least square method in which measurement vector included bus injection current and line current. The bad data are detected using standardized variable of normal distribution and identified using sensitivity coefficients. When the bad data were occured by the bad measurement values. The results of the application to the model power system reveal the effectiveness of the presented algorithms.

Development of an automatic measurement system for the AC-DC current transfer difference of the thermal current converter (열전형 전류 변환기의 교류-직류 전류 변환차이 자동측정시스템 개발)

  • We have developed a dual-channel type automatic measurement system to evaluate AC-DC current transfer difference of the thermal current converter(TCC) which is primary standard of AC current. The output drift effect of the TCC is minimized by measuring simultaneously the output voltages of two TCCs using voltmeter. Furthermore, the offset voltage of the voltmeter is cancelled nearly out by taking the average values of two outputs of TCCs measured with the forward-reverse directions using dual channel scanner. The uncertainties of the automatic system were 7 to $86{\mu}A/A$ for 3 mA to 10 A at 40 Hz to 20 kHz, which were evaluated by the comparisons between adjacent range of TCCs and inter-comparison with national measurement institute of Germany(PTB). The capability for ac-dc transfer difference measurement was improved by one order compared with that for the manual ac-dc measurement system.

  • The van der Pauw technique is one of the popular methods for determining the conductivity of flat metal samples. Traceability of the national standard for the conductivity has been achieved by direct current measurement techniques in national measurement institutes of many countries. But recently, alternative current measurement techniques for determining the conductivity of flat metal samples is also interested. In this study, we measured the conductivity of non-ferrous and ferrous flat metals at alternative current using van der Pauw technique. As measurement results, the conductivities of the samples were decreased according to increasing the test frequency even though the decreasing ratio was different.

  • In this paper, we have provided the measurement technique of the grounding mesh resistance by field measurements. The standard of measurement is specified in the IEEE Std 81.2-1991 and JEAC 5001-1988, which is the the fall-of-potential method by test-current injection, but this method is difficult to apply at field, where is small around a electric power substation of domestic. For the convenient measurement method, space of assistant probe and quantity of test-current injection are changed step for step. As the result, ' the proposed measurement technique of grounding mesh resistance is that the space of current and potential probes must be fixed at 150rn from a grounding mesh, the test-current injection has to keep 5A or more.

  • Purpose: In the course of the domestic environmental impact assessment, the current status survey was improperly conducted, and the issue of false and inaccurate environmental impact assessment reports has been raised several times recently through media reports. Research design, data and methodology: There is a continuous demand for improvement measures for the current status measurement method, such as having difficulties in securing a normal measurement date in consideration of equipment operation and rainfall days in the field. Results: In addition, in order to grasp the general air quality status of the evaluation target area, it is necessary to check the various current status concentrations by season and time series per year. However, there is a problem that is currently being carried out based on limited results such as measurement for 1 day or 3 days. Conclusions: Therefore, in this study, based on the national atmospheric measurement network, an inverse distance weighted (IDW) interpolation method was applied to calculate the current state concentration. This study suggested a method to use it in preparing the air quality item in the environmental impact assessment report.

  • Precise measurement of extremely low resistance shunt is important for characterization and calibration of high current instruments. We tested resistance measurement method for extremely high current shunt (up to 140 kA), where resistance is determined by precise measurement of voltage drop at 10 A test current in the frequency range of 40 Hz to 10 kHz. For the extremely low ac voltage to be precisely measured, a verification of the measurement method was also carried, where the inherent noise is systematically evaluated. The measurement uncertainty was estimated to be $1\;\%\;at\;95\;\%$ confidence level (k=2) for about 50 $\mu\Omega$.

  • In this paper, we proposed calibration techniques to improve measurement accuracy in the characteristic analysis system for semiconductor devices. Systematic errors can be reduced using proposed calibration techniques. Also, error current reduction procedures including leakage current and offset current are proposed to measure low-level current in pA level. Calibration parameters are calculated and stored by microprocessor using least-square fitting with measured sample data. During measurement time microprocessor corrects measured data using stored calibration parameters. Experimental results show that current measurement error above nA level is less than 0.02%. And they also show that current measurement in pA level can be performed with about 0.2% accuracy.

  • The accurate measurement of magnet power supplies (MPS) output currents is essential to delivering stable and repeatable currents to magnets in particle accelerators. An essential element in guaranteeing and evaluating the required performance is the current measurement device and methode.   • In this paper high power SMU(Source Measurement Unit) having 50V/1.5A source/measure range has been designed and implemented. The SMU has two operation mode, voltage mode and current mode. The SMU can be used as variable voltage source, variable current source, voltage meter, or current meter. Combining two different unit, output power can be doubled as 100V/1.5A. The developed SMU tan be used many semiconductor testing system and electronic device inspecting system.

  • When superconductors are combined with normal conductor as a parallel electric circuit, imbalance of the applied current is happened. For the accurate parameters of the circuit, it is needed to measure the current of the circuit under LN2 condition. In this case, the measurement using Rogowski coil, which is not that affected by changing temperature, can be a method. In this study, using 2 Rogowski coil, the measurement of current was conducted under the condition that is room and LN2 temperature respectively.
