  • The influences of A(Cu1/3Nb2/3)O3(A=Pb, Ba and Sr) on the ferroelectric-paraelectric phase transition of BaTiO3 ceramics has been investigated. The tetragonality of crystal structure decreased with increasing A(Cu1/3Nb2/3)O3 content at room temperature. A linear correlation between Curie point and the tetragonality of lattice was not observed. In all three systems the variation of Curie point with the mole fraction showed similar tendency that the Curie point decreased at lower mole fraction but gradually increased in the region of higher mole fractions, Diffuse phase transitions were observed at higher mole fractions. The variation of Curie points could be explained by internal stress and Jahn-Teller distortion of BO6 due to Cu2+, and it was thought that the diffuse character of phase transition was caused by compositional fluctuation.

La0.5Sr0.5CrO3 세라믹스의 전기전도특성 (Electrical Transport Properties of La0.5Sr0.5CrO3 Ceramics)

  • The electrical transport properties of $La_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}CrO_3$ below room temperatures were investigated by dielectric, dc resistivity, magnetic properties and thermoelectric power. Below $T_c$, $La_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}CrO_3$ contains a dielectric relaxation process in the tangent loss and electric modulus. The $La_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}CrO_3$ involves the transition from high temperature thermal activated conduction process to low temperature one. The transition temperature corresponds well to the Curie point. The relaxation mechanism has been discussed in the frame of electric modulus spectra. The scaling behavior of the modulus suggests that the relaxation mechanism describes the same mechanism at various temperatures. The low temperature conduction and relaxation takes place in the ferromagnetic phase. The ferromagnetic state in $La_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}CrO_3$ indicates that the electron - magnon interaction occurs, and drives the carriers towards localization in tandem with the electron - lattice interaction even at temperature above the Curie temperature.

  • Ferromagnetism in manganese compound semiconductors open prospects for tailoring magnetic and spin-related phenomena in semiconductors with a precision specific to III-V compounds. Also it addresses a question about the origin of the magnetic interactions that lead to a Curie temperature(Tc) as high as 110 K for a manganese concentration of just 5%. Zener's model of ferromagnetism, originally suggested for transition metals in 1950, can explain Tc of $Ga_{1-x}Mn_x$ As and that of its IT-VI counterpart $Zn_{1-x}Mn_x$ Te and is used to predict materials with Tc exceeding room temperature, an important step toward semiconductor electronics that use both charge and spin. In this article, we present not only the experimental result but calculated Curie temperature by RKKY interaction. The problem in making III-V semiconductor has been the low solubility of magnetic elements, such as manganese, in the compound, since the magnetic effects are roughly proportional to the concentration of the magnetic ions. Low solubility of magnetic elements was overcome by low-temperature nonequilibrium MBE{molecular beam epitaxy) growth, and ferromagnetic (Ga,Mn)As was realized. Magnetotransport measurements revealed that the magnetic transition temperature can be as high as 110 K for a small manganese concentration.

광곽향(patchouli) oil의 열분해 생성물 분석 (Pyrolysis products of Patchouli oil)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the pyrolysis products of patchouli oil by Curie-Point pyrolysis. The pyrolysis of patchouli oil was performed at the temperature of 16$0^{\circ}C$, 42$0^{\circ}C$, $650^{\circ}C$, 76$0^{\circ}C$, and 92$0^{\circ}C$ by Curie-Point Pyrolyzer. The pyrolysis products were analyzed by gas chromatography(GC) and mass selective detector(MSD). Total 21 components were identified in the pyrolyzates of patchouli oil. The temperature for maximum formation of most of these compounds was in the range of 76$0^{\circ}C$~92$0^{\circ}C$. The major components were $\beta$-patchoulene, $\alpha$-guaiene, $\beta$-caryophyllene, $\alpha$-patchoulene, seychellene, $\delta$-guaiene, and patchouli alcohol. The numbers of the pyrolyzed products of patchouli oil were increased by increasing temperature, however, the yields of major components such as patchoulene, guaiene, seychellene and patchouli alcohol decreased as the temperature of pyrolysis was raised to 92$0^{\circ}C$, the highest temperature in this experiment. The optimum temperature for formation of the pyrolysis products such as styrene, indane and naphthalene was at 92$0^{\circ}C$.

Production of Mn-Dependent Peroxidase from Bjerkandera fumosa and Its Enzyme Characterization

  • Manganese dependent peroxidase (MnP) is the most ubiquitous enzyme produced by white-rot fungi, MnP is known to be involved in lignin degradation, biobleaching and oxidation of hazardous organopollutants. Bjerkandera fumosa is a nitrogen-unregulated white-rot fungus, which produces high amounts of MnP in the excess of N-nutrients due to increased biomass yield. The objective of this study was to optimize the MnP production in N-sufficient cultures by varying different physiological factors such as Mn concentration, culture pH, and incubation temperature. The growth of fungus was optimal in pH 4.5 at $30^{\circ}C$, $N_2$-unregulated white-rot fungus produces high amounts of MnP in the excess N-nutrients. The fungus produced the highest level of MnP (up to $1000U/{\ell}$) with $0.25g/{\ell}$ asparagine and $1g/{\ell}$ $NH_4Cl$ as N source at 1.5 mM $MnCl_2$ concentration, pH value of 4.5 at $30^{\circ}C$. Purification of MnP revealed the existence of two isoforms: MnPl and MnP2. The molecular masses of the purified MnPl and MnP2 were in the same range of 42~45 kDa. These isoforms of B. fumosa strictly require Mn to oxidize phenolic substrates. Concerned to kinetic constants of B. fumosa MnPs, B. fumosa has similar Km value and Vmax compared to the other white-rot fungi.

NiCuZn ferrite의 특성에 미치는 조성의 영향 (The Effect of Composition on the Properties of NiCuZn ferrites)

  • 고상반응법에 의해 NiCuZn ferrite를 제조하였으며 소결온도 $900^{\circ}C$에서의 조성 및 공정변화에 따른 특성을 검토하였다. NiCuZn ferrite에서 Cu 치환 첨가량과 (Ni+Cu)/Zn의 조성비를 변화시킨 결과 ${(Ni_{0.2}Cu_{0.2}Zn_{0.6}O)}_{1.02}{(Fe_{2}O_{3})}_{0.98}$의 조성을 가질 때 초기투자율이 가장 높게 나타났다. NiCuZn ferrite의 Curie 온도 ($T_{c}$)는 Cu의 치환 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 점차 감소하였으며, Cu의 함량을 고정하고 Ni의 함량을 변화시킬 경우, (Ni+Cu)/Zn의 조성비가 증가할 수록 현저하게 증가하였다. ${(Ni_{0.2}Cu_{0.2}Zn_{0.6}O)}_{1-w}{(Fe_{2}O_{3})}_{1+w}$의 조성에서 분쇄시간을 20~80시간으로 변화시켰을 경우 $Fe_{2}O_{3}$ 결핍량(w)이 -0.015일 때 초기투자율이 가장 높았으며, Curie 온도 ($T_{c}$)는 $Fe_{2}O_{3}$ 결핍량(w)이 0에서 -0.025로 증가할 수록 점차 감소하였다.

  • 이 논문에서는 vinylidene fluoride(VDF), trifluoroethylene(TrFE), chlorotrifluoroethylene(CTFE)을 사용하여 3성분계 고분자를 합성하였으며, 저온 개시제 di-tertiary-butylperoxide(DTBP)를 사용하여 현탁중합하였다. NMR, FT-IR을 통해 3성분계 고분자 사슬의 미세구조, 사슬형태의 변화에 대해 알 수 있었다. CTFE mol%가 증가할수록 $\beta$ 상태는 점차적으로 감소하고 $\gamma$ 상태는 증가하는 것을 알 수 있었다. DSC 분석결과, CTFE mol%가 증가할수록 상전이 온도($T_c$)는 상온으로 낮아지며 그 곡선은 점차 작아지고 넓게 퍼지는 현상을 확인하였다. 활성화 에너지는 Freeman-Carroll법에 의해 계산되었다.

The Magnetic and Magnetocaloric Properties of the Perovskite La0.7Ca0.3Mn1-xNixO3

  • This paper studies the effects of the Mn-site substitution by nickel on the magnetic properties and the magnetocaloric properties of $La_{0.7}Ca_{0.3}Mn_{1-x}Ni_xO_3$ (x = 0, 0.05 and 0.1). The orthorhombic crystal structures of the samples are confirmed by the room temperature X-ray diffraction. The dependence of the Curie temperature ($T_C$) and the magnetic entropy change (${\Delta}S_M$) on the Ni doping content was investigated. The samples with x = 0 had the first order phase transition, while the samples with x = 0.05 and 0.1 had the second order phase transition. As the concentration of Ni increased, the maximum entropy change (${\mid}{\Delta}S_M{\mid}_{max}$) decreased gradually, from 2.78 $J{\cdot}kg^{-1}{\cdot}K^{-1}$ (x = 0) to 1.02 $J{\cdot}kg^{-1}{\cdot}K^{-1}$ (x = 0.1), in a magnetic field change of 15 kOe. The measured value of $T_C$ was 185 K, 150 K and 145 K for x = 0, 0.05 and 0.1, respectively. The phase transition temperatures became wider as x increased. It indicates that the Mn-site substitution by Ni may be used to tailor the Curie temperature in $La_{0.7}Ca_{0.3}Mn_{1-x}Ni_xO_3$.

  • In this study, 70/30 mol% P(VDF-TrFE) copolymer thin films were prepared by physical vapor deposition, and dielectric properties with frequency were investigated. From results of TA(Thermal Analysis), the Curie transition temperature and melting temperature were observed at 118.8$^{\circ}C$ and 146$^{\circ}C$, respectively. Therefore, while thin films were prepared, the substrate temperature was varied from 30$^{\circ}C$ to 90$^{\circ}C$. The dielectric constant decreased with increasing frequency. At measuring frequency of 1kHz, the relative dielectric constant increased from 3.643 to 23.998 with increasing substrate temperature from 30$^{\circ}C$ to 90$^{\circ}C$. As a result of dielectric loss factor, ${\alpha}$-relaxation and ${\beta}$-relaxation were observed near at 100Hz and 1MHz, respectively. And the magnitude of ${\alpha}$-relaxation decreased and that of ${\beta}$-relaxation increased with increasing substrate temperature.

구동회로에 따른 초음파 노즐의 분무 특성 (The Aerosol Characteristics of Utrasonic Nozzle on the Driving Circuits)

  • The application of the ultrasonic nozzle has been extended because it is possible atomization of liquid material. In this study, the driving characteristics of the ultrasonic nozzle on the driving circuit were investigated. And the characteristics of the ceramic oscillator were investigated for the temperature stability. The ceramic oscillator were made the Pb[(Sb$\sub$1/2/,Nb$\sub$1/2/)$\sub$0.035/-(Mn$\sub$1/3/Nb$\sub$2/3/)$\sub$0.065/- (Zr$\sub$x/Ti$\sub$l-x/)$\sub$0.9/]O$_3$with mole ratio of Zr/Ti. The ceramis oscillator were need the curie temperature of the over 300[$^{\circ}C$] for the temperature stability. When the Zr/Ti ratio was 49/51, it's curie temperature is 322[$^{\circ}C$] and the electromechanical coupling factor(k$\sub$p/) and mechanical quality factor(Q$\sub$m/) showed the values of 0.555, 1,214, respectively The resonance frequency of ceramic oscillator were from 40KHz to 45KHz. So that, the driving circuit were made a possibility that the frequency are variable. The driving current of ultrasonic nozzle showed the value of maximum 80[mA]. Also, The surface temperature of ceramic oscillator showed 80[$^{\circ}C$] at driving time 10[min]. We knew that the ultrasonic nozzle had stabile driving above 10[min.].
