비정렬 유한 체적법을 이용한 횡류 홴 유동장 해석 (Prediction of Cross Flow Fan Flow Using an Unstructured Finite Volume Method)

  • A Navier-Stokes code has been developed to simulate the flow through a cross flow fan. It is based on an unstructured finite volume method and uses moving grid technique to model the rotation of the fan. A low Reynolds number turbulence model is used to calculate eddy viscosity. The basic algorithm is SIMPLE. Numerical simulations over a wide range of flow rate are carried out to validate the code. Comparison of all numerical solutions with experimental data confirms the validity of the present code. Present numerical solutions show a noticeable improvement over a previous numerical method which is based on a model of body force to simulate the rotation of the impeller.

이월오염에 대한 연구 (A Study of Carry Over Contamination in Chematology)

  • Carry over contamination has been reduced in some systems by flushing the internal and external surfaces of the sample probe with copious amount of diluent. It between specimens should be kept as small as possible. A built-in, continuous-flow wash reservoir, which allows the simultaneous washing of the interior and exterior of the syringe needles, addresses this issue. In addition, residual contamination can further be prevented through the use of efficient needle rinsing procedures. In discrete systems with disposable reaction vessels and measuring cuvets, any carry over is entirely caused by the pipetting system. In analyzers with reuseable cuvets or flow cells, carry over may arise at every point through which high samples pass sequentially. Therefore, disposable sample probe tips can eliminate both the contamination of one sample by another inside the probe and the carry over of in specimen into the specimen in the cup. The results of the applicative carry over experiment studied on 21 items for total protein (TP), albumin (ALB), total bilirubin (TB), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), aspratate aminotranferase (AST), alanine aminotranferase (ALT), gamma glutamyl transferase (GGT), creatinine kinase (CK), lactic dehydrogenase (LD), creatnine (CRE), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), uric acid (UA), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), glucose (GLU), amylase (AMY), calcium (CA), inorganic phosphorus (IP), sodium (Na), potassium (K), chloride (CL) tests in chematology were as follows. Evaluation of process performance less than 1% in all tests was very good, but a percentage of ALB, TP, TB, ALP, CRE, UA, TC, GLU, AMY, IP, K, Na, and CL was 0%, implying no carry over. Other tests were ALT(-0.08%), GGT(-0.09%), CK(0.08%), LD(0.06%), BUN(0.12%), TG (-0.06%), and CA(0.89%).

  • The inverse Compton scattering of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation with electrons in the intracluster medium which has a temperature gradient, was examined by the third-order perturbation theory of the Compton scattering. A new type of the spectrum distortion of the CMB was found and named as gradient T Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect (gradT SZE). The spectrum has an universal shape. There is a zero distortion point, the cross over frequency, at 326GHz. When the hotter region locates closer to an observer, the intensity becomes brighter than the CMB in the frequency region lower than the cross over frequency and fainter than the CMB in the frequency region higher than the cross over frequency. When the cooler region locates closer to an observer, the distorted part of the spectrum has an opposite sign to the above case. The amplitude of the spectrum distortion does not de-pend on the electron density and depends on the heat conductivity and the total temperature variation along a line of sight. Therefore, the gradT SZE provides an unique opportunity to measure thermally nonequilibrium electron momentum distribution function in the ICM and combined with the X-ray measurements of the electron temperature distribution provides an opportunity of direct measurement of the heat conductivity in the ICM.

이동 애드 혹 네트워크상에서 멀티미디어 서비스를 위한 크로스레이어 기반의 전송 기법 (Cross-layer based Transmission Scheme for Multimedia Service over Mobile Ad Hoc Network)

  • 본 논문에서는 이동 애드 혹 네트워크상에서 지연에 민감한 멀티미디어 데이터를 효과적으로 전송하기 위한 크로스레이어 기반 패킷 스케줄링 및 라우팅 기법을 제안한다. 우선 패킷 긴급도, 노드 긴급도, 경로 긴급도를 각 패킷의 종단 간 지연 요구사항과 경로 상의 전체 홉 수를 고려하여 정의한다. 제안하는 기법은 긴급도 척도를 기반으로 MAC 계층에서의 패킷 스케줄링 기법과 네트워크 계층에서의 라우팅 기법이 긴밀하게 결합되어 이동 애드 혹 네트워크상에서 지연에 민감한 멀티미디어의 전송 성능을 향상시킨다. 마지막으로, 실험 결과를 통해 제안 하는 전송 기법의 성능을 검증한다.

Utility-based Rate Allocation Scheme for Mobile Video Streaming over Femtocell Networks

  • This paper proposes a utility-based data rate allocation algorithm to provide high-quality mobile video streaming over femtocell networks. We first derive a utility function to calculate the optimal data rates for maximizing the aggregate utilities of all mobile users in the femtocell. The total sum of optimal data rates is limited by the link capacity of the backhaul connections. Furthermore, electromagnetic cross-talk poses a serious problem for the backhaul connections, and its influence passes on to mobile users, as well as causing data rate degradation in the femtocell networks. We also have studied a fixed margin iterative water-filling algorithm to achieve the target data rate of each backhaul connection as a counter-measure to the cross-talk problem. The results of our simulation show that the algorithm is capable of minimizing the transmission power of backhaul connections while guaranteeing a high overall quality of service for all users of the same binder. In particular, it can provide the target data rate required to maximize user satisfaction with the mobile video streaming service over the femtocell networks.

가정외보호 아동의 양육자 관계와 교우관계의 상호 영향: 자기회귀교차지연모형을 활용한 종단연구 (The Reciprocal Relationship between Caregiver Relations and Peer Relations of Children in Out-of-home Care: Longitudinal Study Using Autoregressive Cross-lagged Modeling)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the longitudinal causal relationship between caregiver relations and peer relations of children in out-of-home care. We analyzed the three years(2011-2013) of longitudinal data from the Panel Study on Korean Children in Out-of-Home Care. The autoregressive cross-lagged model (ARCL) was used to measure the longitudinal causal relationship between caregiver relations and peer relations. As a result, first, caregiver relations and peer relations showed stability over time. In other words, the results of the measurement at three time points showed that the caregiver relations and peer relations at the previous time had a significant effect on the caregiver relations and peer relations at the later time point. Second, the previous caregiver relations had a significant effect on the subsequent peer relations over time. Third, the previous peer relations had a significant effect on the subsequent caregiver relations over time. This study confirmed the interrelationships of caregiver relations and peer relations of children in care by examining the longitudinal data using the longitudinal analysis method.

Analysis of X-ray image qualities-accuracy of shape and clearness of image-using X-ray digital tomosynthesis

  • X-ray laminography and DT(digital tomosynthesis) that can form a cross-sectional image of 3-D objects promise to be good solutions for inspecting interior defects of industrial products. The major factors of the digital tomosynthesis that influence on the quality of x-ray cross-sectional images are also discussed. The quality of images acquired from the DT system varies according to image synthesizing methods, the number of images used in image synthesizing, and X-ray projection angles. In this paper, a new image synthesizing method named 'log-root method' is proposed to get clear and accurate cross-sectional images, which can reduce both artifact and blurring generated by materials out of focal plane. To evaluate the quality of cross-sectional images, two evaluating criteria: (1) shape accuracy and (2) clearness in the cross-sectional image are defined. Based on this criteria, a series of simulations were performed, and the results show the superiority of the new synthesizing method over the existing ones such as averaging and minimum method.

십자형 연직배수재의 점성토지반 개량에의 적용성 (Applicability of Cross Shaped Drain to Soft Clay Improvement)

  • Applicability of the cross shaped drain in a soft clay ground is examined using the laboratory discharge capacity test, column consolidation test and 3-D numerical flow analysis. The equivalent diameter of the tested drains is back-calculated from the laboratory experiment and compared with those calculated from the formula suggested in the literature. The effective range of the cross shaped drain about the discharge capacity and coefficient of permeability is analyzed. The results of numerical analysis show that the cross shaped drain which has a cross-sectional area twice of the band shaped drain can reduce the consolidation time by 30% from that for the band shaped drain in a soft clay ground that K is over 1${\times}$10$\^$-7/cm/sec

Absolute Radiometric Calibration for KOMPSAT-3 AEISS and Cross Calibration Using Landsat-8 OLI

  • Radiometric calibration is a prerequisite to quantitative remote sensing, and its accuracy has a direct impact on the reliability and accuracy of the quantitative application of remotely sensed data. This paper presents absolute radiometric calibration of the KOMPSAT-3 (KOrea Multi Purpose SATellite-3) and cross calibration using the Landsat-8 OLI (Operational Land Imager). Absolute radiometric calibration was performed using a reflectance-based method. Correlations between TOA (Top Of Atmosphere) radiances and the spectral band responses of the KOMPSAT-3 sensors in Goheung, South Korea, were significant for multispectral bands. A cross calibration method based on the Landsat-8 OLI was also used to assess the two sensors using near simultaneous image pairs over the Libya-4 PICS (Pseudo Invariant Calibration Sites). The spectral profile of the target was obtained from EO-1 (Earth Observing-1) Hyperion data over the Libya-4 PICS to derive the SBAF (Spectral Band Adjustment Factor). The results revealed that the TOA radiance of the KOMPSAT-3 agree with Landsat-8 within 5.14% for all bands after applying the SBAF. The radiometric coefficient presented here appears to be a good standard for maintaining the optical quality of the KOMPSAT-3.

다중 홉 이동 애드 혹 네트워크에서 크로스레이어 기반의 효과적인 멀티미디어 전송 알고리즘 (An Effective Cross Layer-based Multimedia Transmission Algorithm over Multi-hop Mobile Ad Hoc Network)

  • 본 논문에서는 다중 홉 이동 애드 혹 네트워크에서 크로스 레이어 (Cross layer) 기반의 효과적인 멀티미디어 전송 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안 알고리즘은 멀티레이트를 지원하는 IEEE 802.11 MAC을 기반으로 하며, 수신 노드에서 패킷 손실률 (Packet Loss Rate, PLR)이 제약 조건 이내를 유지하고 종단간 지연시간이 최소가 되도록 하기 위해 경로상의 각 노드들은 MAC 계층에서 응용계층의 데이터 특성과 물리 계층의 채널정보를 이용하여 효과적인 전송 모드를 선택 한다. 마지막으로 실험을 통하여 제안 알고리즘의 우수성을 확인 한다.
