  • In this paper, the cross-coupling controller with fuzzy logic for AGV is developed, Cross-coupling control directly minimizes orientation' error by coordinating the motion of the two drive wheels and uses PI controller for compensation. But, the transient response of PI controller results in deviation from trajectory. The Fuzzy Cross-coupling controller enhances transient performance without steady-state error. The performance of the above controller is demonstrated by simulation and is compared with that of PI controller.

  • This paper suggests the wheel controller for PWS(Power Wheeled Steering) mobile robot. The proposed controller consists of two parts. To control each motor, the sliding mode controller implemented. This method has robustness about modeling error and disturbance, so the velocity tracking is well guaranteed in the presence of varying load. The design of a fuzzy cross-coupling controller for a PWS mobile robot is described here. Fuzzy cross-coupling control directly minimizes the tracking error by coordinating the motion of the two drive wheels. The fuzzy cross-coupling controller has excellent disturbance rejection and therefore is advantageous when the robot is not loaded symmetrically. The capability of the proposed controller was verified through the computer simulation.

  • The design of large area thin film transistor liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCDs) requires consideration of cross-talks between the data lines and pixel electrodes. These limits are imposed by the mutual coupling capacitances present in a pixel. The mutual coupling capacitance causes a pixel voltage error. In this study, semi-empirical model, which is adopted from VLSI interconnection capacitance calculations, is used to calculate mutual coupling capacitances. With calculated mutual coupling capacitances and arbitrary given image pattern, the root mean square (RMS) voltage of pixel is calculated to see vertical cross-talk from the first to the last column. The information obtained this study can be utilized to design the larger area and finer image quality panel.

  • A modified synthetic approach to the synthesis of heterocyclic food mutagens, 2-amino-1-methyl-6-phenylimidazo[4,5-b]pyridine (PHIP) and 2-amino-1,6-dimethylimidazo[4,5-b]pyridine (DMIP) is reported. This route highlights an optimized palladium catalysed Buchwald cross-coupling of 2-halo-1-methyl-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine with benzophenoneimine followed by acidic hydrolysis to yield compound 7. Using finely tailored conditions, Suzuki cross-coupling reactions with highly efficient catalytic systems were performed as the final step on 8 to introduce the aryl group and methyl group on the heterocyclic core.

  • Palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of neopentyloxysulfonylphenyl bromides with arylboronic acids provided a variety of neopentyl biphenylsulfonates in good yields. 2-Bromo- and 4-bromobenzenesulfonates underwent the coupling reaction more rapidly than 3-bromobenzenesulfonate, while chlorobenzenesulfonate did not produce the coupling product under the standard reaction conditions.

  • Inductive power transfer (IPT) technology allows for charging of electric vehicles with security, convenience and efficiency. However, the IPT system performance is mainly affected by the magnetic coupling structure which is largely determined by the coupling coefficient. In order to get this applied to electric vehicle charging systems, the power pads should be able to transmit stronger power and be able to better sustain various forms of deviations in terms of vertical, horizontal direction and center rotation. Thus, a novel cross-shaped magnetic coupling structure for IPT charging systems is proposed. Then an optimal cross-shaped magnetic coupling structure by 3-D finite-element analysis software is obtained. At marking locations with average parking capacity and no electronic device support, a prototype of a 720*720mm cross-shaped pad is made to transmit 5kW power at a 200mm air gap, providing a $1.54m^2$ full-power free charging zone. Finally, the leakage magnetic flux density is measured. It indicates that the proposed cross-shaped pad can meet the requirements of the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) according to the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA).
