  • To develop a dynamic system project in which the requirement changes frequently, it's impossible to finish the development within a fixed-cost due to additional budget occurring in need of requirement creep. To manage the successive project within a fixed-cost, it's better to manage the ratio of necessarily changed size of project and necessary optional requirement. According to Bhagwat, it is occurred in the construction phase. Also, he stated that the software development cost, construction phase cost and requirement cost are equal and it was wrong explanation in the ratio of requirement creep and optional requirement. This paper assumes the requirement creep to be happening in the phase of elaboration and construction. In addition, some differences were supposed to happen between software development cost, construction phase cost, and requirement creep cost. As a result, the reality was preferred rather than the ratio of optional requirement and the ratio of requirement creep.

  • In this study, the circumferential creep behaviors ofpilgered advanced Zirconium alloy tubes such as Zr-Nb-O and Zr-Nb-Sn-Fe were investigated in the temperature range of $400\sim500^{\circ}C$ and in the stress range of 80$\sim$150MPa. The test results indicate that the stress exponent for the steady-state creep rate of the Zr-Nb-Sn-Fe alloy decreases with the increase of stress(from 6$\sim$7 to 4), while that of the Zr-Nb-O alloy is nearly independent of stress(5$\sim$6). The activation energy of creep deformation is found to be nearly the same as the activation energy for Zr self diffusion. This indicates that the creep deformation may be controlled by dislocation climb mechanism in Zr-Nb-O. On the other hand, the transition of stress exponent(from 6-7 to 4) in Zr-Nb Sn-Fe strongly suggests the transition of the rate controlling mechanism at high stresses. The lower stress exponent at high stresses in Zr-Nb-Sn-Fe can be explained by the dynamic deformation aging effect caused by interaction of dislocations with Sn substitutional atoms.

  • External bonding of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets has been widely accepted as a popular method for strengthening of deteriorated RC structures. The long-term behavior of CFRP-strengthened RC structure is often affected by that of the interface between CFRP sheets and concrete. This study aims at applying a viscoelastic model to describe the creep behaviour of the adhesive layer bonding CFRP sheet to concrete, the CFRP-concrete interface. Reviews of available models on concrete creep behavior have been first carried out and then new FE analysis model is proposed. The proposed FE analysis model based on the maxwell model has been verified by previous experimental results. It is shown that the creep effect of interfacial adhesive layer is very important on the long-term behavior of concrete structures strengthened with CFRP.

  • The paper presents the experimental investigations for studying the effect of ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) on the time-dependent deflection of reinforced concrete (RC) beams due to creep and shrinkage. The RC beams were reinforced with 2-10 mm bars at tension side and subjected to constant sustained two-point loading for the period of 150 days. The amount of cement replacement by GGBFS was varied from 0 to 60% with an increment of 20%. The total deflection was measured at different ages of up to 150 days under sustained loads. The experiments revealed that the time-dependent deflection of the reinforced concrete RC beams containing GGBFS was higher than that of plain concrete RC beams. At 150 days, the average creep and shrinkage deflection of RC beams containing 20%, 40% and 60% GGBFS was 1.25, 1.45 and 1.75 times higher than the plain concrete beams. A new model, which is an extension of authors' earlier model, is proposed to incorporate the effect of GGBFS content in predicting the long-term deflection of RC beams. Besides validating the new model with the current data with higher percentage of tension reinforcement, it was also used to predict the authors' earlier data containing lesser percentage of tension reinforcement with reasonable accuracy.

  • The heat generation of cement causes the internal temperature rise and volume change at early age, particulary in massive concrete structures. As the results of the temperature rise and restraint conditions, the thermal stress may induce cracks in concrete. Therefore, the prediction of the thermal stress is very important in the design and construction in order to control the cracks developed in mass concrete. In case of young concrete, creep effect by the temperature load is larger than that of old concrete. Thus, the effect of creep must be considered for checking the cracks, serviceability, durability and leakage. This paper is concentrated on the development of a finite element program which is capable of simulating the temperature history and the thermal stress considering creep and the modified elastic modulus due to inner temperature change and maturity. The analytical results in the inner parts highest important to control cracks are in good agreement with experimental data. Therefore this study may provide available method to control the cracks.

  • Objective: This study aimed to determine the effects of soft pellet creep feed (SPCF) on growth performance and intestinal development in piglets. Methods: A total of 18 sows and their litters of crossbred piglets (14±2 days, 3.73±0.72 kg) were assigned to one of three dietary groups receiving i) powder creep feed (PCF), ii) hard pellet creep feed (HPCF) or iii) SPCF during the pre-weaning period. After weaning, piglets were selected for continuous evaluation of the three diets on growth performance and intestinal health. Results: In the pre-weaning period, the average daily feed intake and average daily dry matter intake were significantly higher in the SPCF group than the HPCF group (p<0.05). In the post-weaning and entire experimental period, the different diets had no significant effect on growth performance. At 10 d after weaning, the serum glucose concentration was lower in the SPCF group (p<0.05) than the other groups; a higher (p<0.05) villus height and lower (p<0.05) crypt depth in the jejunum were also observed in the SPCF group than the other groups; Meanwhile, in the duodenum and jejunum, the SPCF group had a higher (p<0.05) villus height to crypt depth ratio than the other groups; Furthermore, the higher (p<0.05) threshold cycle values of lactic acid bacteria and lower (p<0.05) threshold cycle values of Clostridium, Enterobacter and Escherichia coli were also observed in the SPCF group, and the sucrase and maltase activity was higher (p<0.05) in the SPCF group than the other groups in duodenum and ileum. Conclusion: The SPCF improved pre-weaning feed intake and decreased the negative effects of weaning stress in the intestine in piglets.

  • Steel effects on creep deformation of prestressed concrete structues are investigated by a parametric study. Prestressed steel ratio, Prestressed steel distribution, initial flexural stress gradient, and modular ratio are selected as parameters. Sectional analysis for the beam section of parameter combination is performed to find curvatrue change due to creep. Based on the investigation, long-term curvature formulas from regression analysis are proposed. Application of the furmulas to simply supported prostressed concrete beam shows the effect of steel on deflection.

  • The welding residual stresses produced by the welding frequently caused a crack and promote stress corrosion etc. in HAZ(heat affected zone) contained with external load and weakness of material. Therefore, PWHT(post welding heat treatment) is widely used to reduce wekdubg residuss, to relax hardening of heat affected zone and to get rid of impurity. In this study, in order to define the effect on shappes of T-welded joint, during the post welding heat treatment, we have carried out numerical analyses on the several test pieces by using computer program which was based on thermal-elasto-plato-plasto-creep theories for the study. The main results obtained form this study is as follows: 1) The mechanical difference for change the thickness of plate and groove angle did not appear. 2) The distribution modes of welding residual stresses are same on the all test specimens during the post welding heat treatment. 3) In a mecharical point of view, minimum groove groove angle($40^{circ}$) is more suitable than maximum groove angle($60^{circ}$). 4) Therefore, it is appropriate to minimize the size of groove shape in strength and safety.

  • Certain structural components are exposed to high temperatures. At high temperature, under thermal and mechanical loading, metal components exhibit both creep and plastic behavior. The unified constitutive theory is to model both the time-dependent behavior(creep) and the time-independent behavior(plasticity) in one set of equations. Microscopically both creep and plasticity are controlled by the motion of dislocations. A finite element method is presented encorporating a unified constitutive model for the transient analysis of viscoplastic behavior of structures exposed to high temperature.

  • Numerical studies were carried out to develop the moment magnifier method for long-term behavior of flat plates, subjected to combined in-plane compressive and transverse loads. Nonlinear finite element analyses were performed for the numerical studies. Through the numerical studies, the long term behavior of the flat plate subjected to uniform or nonuniform floor load was investigated, and creep effects on the degradation of strength and stiffness of the slabs were examined. As a result, the creep factor was implemented to describe the creep effect on the flat plate. The moment magnifier method using the creep factor was developed for long-term behavior of flat plates. Also, the design examples were shown for the verification of the proposed design method.
