골프장의 농약잔류 허용기준 설정을 위한 자료 (Information Resources for the Establishment of Tolerances on Pesticide Residues in Golf Courses)

  • The objective of this paper is to present relevant information and for proposing legal standards on pesticide residues around golf courses. Among 67 pesticide ingredients used for the courses in Korea, 30 items necessary for standard setting were selected and theoretical residue limits were computed. Pesticide residue limits applicable to golf courses in Korea were for 16 pesticides in run-off water on the health and ecotoxicological bases and in soil on the health basis, as selected by practical use pattern. It is recommended to accumulate scientific data by continuous research efforts in order to justify the pesticide residue limits in run-off water and soils of golf courses.

문헌정보학과의 코어 교과목 연구 (A Study on the Core Courses of the Departments of Library and Information Science)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 문헌정보학과 교과과정의 기초 과목으로 볼 수 있는 코어 교과목의 현황을 파악하는 것이다. 대부분의 문헌정보학과들이 코어 교과과정으로 인정되는 필수과목들을 개설하지 않으므로 1980년대의 필수과목들을 조사하여, 이들이 현재의 교과과정에서 어느 정도의 비중을 차지하고 있는가를 분석하였다. 분석의 결과를 학부제의 실시 이전과 비교하면 개설되는 코어 교과목들과 이들이 교과과정에서 차지하고 있는 비중에 별 변화가 없으며, 전통적인 코어 교과목인 자료의 수집, 조직, 봉사, 경영ㆍ관리 및 정보학 관련 교과목들이 교과과정의 많은 부분을 차지하고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

국내 골프장의 농약 사용 추이 (Utilization of Agrochemicals in Golf Courses in Korea)

  • A study was carried out in order to elucidate utilization of agochemicals in golf courses scien-tifically. The analysis of amounts of agrochemical used in golf courses from 1991 to 1996 which were reported to government are ;Despite of increase of golf courses, the amounts of agrochemicals decreased from 1992 as turning point. The decrease of utilization of insecticides and herbicides made it possible. In fungicides, thiopanate-methyl WP, polyoxine D. thiram WP and iprodione WP were used much in general and their utilization ratios were high. In recent year, as fungicides for Pythium blight and large patch, oxapro WP and pencycuron WP's amounts of utilization increased, but utilization ratios were under 70%. In insecticides, penitrothion OL's quantity consumed and utilization ratios were the best, but showed tendency of decrease as registration of agrochemicals for turfgrass expanded. In herbicides, bensulide OL, napropamide WP, MCPP SL were used much and their utilization ratios were high. In recent year, flazasulfuron WP's amounts of utilization and utilization ratio increased relatively. Key words: Agrochemicals Golf courses, Insecticides, Herbicides,Fungicides.

Cross-Cultural Management in China

  • Purpose - This paper discusses cross-cultural management (CCM) in China and how its business students get prepared by university cross-cultural management courses for an international market. Research design, data, and methodology - It was therefore decided to do an online content analysis looking at CCM courses offered by a number of Chinese universities first, and second to conduct a quantitative survey on CCM courses as well as topics among Chinese undergraduate business students at a large Eastern Chinese university. Results - From fundamental aspects, seven Chinese cultural standards emerge which highly influence the behaviour of the Chinese. There is a tendency to imply the integration of not only local but also cross cultural issues in academic management courses. Besides Hong Kong, there are currently 17 Chinese universities and schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) that explicitly requires cross-cultural management competencies in undergraduate and graduate degree programmes. In addition, the study confirmed that two-third of the sample (Chinese undergraduate business students) had taken cross-cultural management courses. Conclusions - The results of this research have made it clear that Chinese universities and schools are aware of the importance of cross-cultural management competencies.

  • The curriculum system and documentation for advanced general education, MSC (Mathematics, Basic Science, Computer Science), and engineering-design courses have been developed to improve the education of advanced undergraduate students in engineering and technology at Chosun University. In this paper, to obtain improved quality of engineering courses, we systemized the education of engineering and technology, which could be designed as the education satisfying students and provide awards for high-quality performance, through efficient management of education courses and establishment of basic and professional courses. In addition, by applying evaluation to the engineering courses and using the model of continuous quality improvement, we could achieve a high-quality education system for the engineering and technology courses.

  • This paper proposes practical teaching methods for efficient progress of project-based learning in engineering design education. Engineering design courses consist of three categories; introductory, individual and capstone design courses. This study concentrates on the case of individual design courses. Individual design courses act as bridges between introductory and capstone design courses and deal with applicable projects based on theoretical frameworks. In this study, practical teaching methods are applied to Artificial Intelligence curriculum as an individual design course for Juniors in Computer Engineering Major. The results on application of practical teaching methods show relatively positive in all aspects.

전문대학의 NCS 기반 교과목에 대한 학습자 만족 (Satisfaction of Learners of a College about Courses Based NCS (National Competency Standards))

  • 특성화 전문대학의 NCS 기반 교과목에 대한 학습자의 만족도가 높지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 연구문제1인 NCS 기반 교과목에 대해 학습자의 만족은 리커트 5점 척도 기준, 평균 3.44로 보통수준에서 약간 상회하는 것으로 나타났으며 연구문제2인 NCS 기반 교과목과 일반 교과목과 비교해서 학습자의 만족도의 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. NCS 기반 교과목이 일반 교과목에 비해 학습자의 만족도가 더 높은 학과(전공)은 3개학과(전공)로 전체기준 13.0%를 차지하였다. 이는 NCS 기반 교과목 운영에 각별한 대책이 필요하다고 본다. 하지만 학습자의 태도 측면에서는 NCS 기반 교과목이 일반교과목에 비교해서 더 적극적으로 나타났다. D 대학의 경우, 23개 전체학과(전공) 중 14개 학과(전공)인 61.0%의 학습자가 일반 교과목에 비해 NCS 기반 교과목에 대한 학습태도가 더 적극적이었다. 향후 NCS 기반 교과목에 대해 학습자의 만족도를 제고시키기 위해서는 교수자는 NCS 기반 교과목운영에 사전 준비와 빈틈없는 수업운영을 하는 것이 바람직하며 NCS 기반 교과목의 평가는 과정평가이기 때문에 학습자가 실행한 것들을 적시에 feedback를 해주어야 한다.

미래사서의 역할 및 교과목 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Developing the Courses and Librarians' Role for Educating Future Librarians)

  • 본 연구에서는 디지털시대에 요구되는 교과목, 현장 사서들의 미래기술 응용능력을 개발하는데 도움이 되는 교과목을 해외대학 교과목 조사 및 설문조사방법을 통해서 개발하고 제안하였다. 연구결과 디지털시대에 요구되는 신규과목은 '웹정보원 조직 및 관리실습', '도서관 기획.마케팅 및 평가', '디지털 장서관리를 위한 정보기술이해', '디지털시대의 정보 및 커뮤니케이션' 순으로 나타났으며, 위 교과목을 핵심과목으로 지정하는 것을 제안한다. 또한 신규교과목 요인분석 결과 정보소외계층서비스 영역 및 웹정보자원의 조직과 활용 영역이 문헌정보학의 새로운 세부학문 영역으로 도출되었다. 그 외 관종별 및 담당업무별로 요구하는 과목에 대한 차이가 있음을 발견하였다.

DACUM 기법과 전문가회의를 통한 방재분야 교육과정 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Curriculum Development for Disaster Management by DACUM Technique and Expert Committee)

  • 본 연구는 방재분야의 교육과정 개발을 위해 DACUM 기법을 이용하여 개발한 교육과정과 전문가회의를 통해 개발한 교육 과정을 비교 분석하여 방재분야의 교육과정을 개발하였다. 첫째, DACUM 기법을 이용한 교육과정 개발은 방재분야의 직무를 예방, 대비, 대응, 복구 등 4가지 직무로 구분하고, 각 직무별로 3명의 방재전문가와 1명의 교육전문가가 3회씩의 워크삽을 통해 예방직무에서 9개 과정, 대비 직무에서 12개 과정, 대비 직무에서 7개 과정, 복구 직무에서 4개의 교육과정을 개발하였다. 둘째, 전문가회의를 통해 교육과정을 개발하였다. 전문가회의는 5명의 방재전문가와 3명의 교육전문가가 4회의 회의를 거쳐 35개의 교육과정을 개발하였다. 이를 통해 DACUM 기법과 전문가회의를 통해 도출된 교육과정을 전문가들의 토론을 거쳐 최종적으로 예방 및 대비 직무에서 31개 과정과 대응 및 복구 직무에서 14개의 교육과정을 개발하였으며, 추가적으로 인적재난에서 6개 과정과 관리자별 4개 과정을 개발하였다.

간호역사와 철학 교과목 수업 후 간호대 신입생의 간호이미지 변화 (Changes in the Image of Nursing in First Year Nursing Students after History & Philosophy of Nursing Courses)

  • Purpose: This study was done to investigate changes in image of nursing in first year students of nursing after courses on history & philosophy of nursing. Methods: Participants were 100 first year students at a nursing college located in K city. The students were asked to submit a written answer to an open-ended question. Data were collected in March, 2011, before the students started nursing courses, and again in June, 2011, after they had finished one semester of nursing courses. Data were analyzed using Van Kaam's phenomenological method. Results: Before the nursing courses, students regarded nursing as caring for patients comfortably with warmth and kindness, helping patients with self-sacrificing spirit and service, and being tough and overwhelming to do. After finishing one semester of nursing courses, they regarded nursing as a profession that requires motherly care, love and devotion, and as meaningful and beautiful to do. Conclusions: After finishing one semester of nursing courses, the images of nursing held by the students changed from a traditional perspective emphasizing the emotional and negative aspects to one focusing more on the professional and positive aspects. It is essential to establish healthy and positive images of nursing among students through the nursing curriculum.
