  • The purpose of this article is to study the change of mathematics teaching efficacy of pre-service mathematics teachers in teaching practice course. For this purpose we collect data through questionnaire from 61 pre-service mathematics teachers. To make a questionnaire we rearrange Ryang's MTES items. The pre-service mathematics teachers fill out the questionnaire before and after teaching practice course. The data are analyzed by paired t-test using SPSS23. The result of paired t-test show that the difference between pre-test scores and post-test scores is significant statistically. So we can conclude that the mathematics teaching efficacy of pre-service mathematics teachers is changed and improved after teaching practice course.

  • The purposes of this study are to investigate the relationship between the Piaget’s cognitive developmental theory and the practical course subject in elementary school which have the characteristics of skillful subject and living subject, and to discriminate the suitability of contents of the practical course subject for the childrens’level of cognitive development. This work could serve the theoretical background that the practical course subject presents practical experiences which lead the development of logicomathematical thinking abilities. The results of the content analysis shows that create activities develop the logicomathematical thinking abilities such as projective geometry, topology geometry, area conservation, length & distance conservation, and volume & mass conservation. And the most contents of the practical course subject are suitable for the childrens’level of cognitive development.

The facts which were able to figure out from this study were as follows ; 1. After the analysis of the CAD course contents of the american universities, their common contents were in order of introduce to Computer Aided Drafting and design with Auto CAD/ provide fundamental knowledge of the application for use in design/ examine and how this effects 2 D image and model creation/ CAD as a design tool . Over all trend of CAD course contents of interior design program in american university is moving toward utilizing CAD as a design tool. 2. On the other hand, common contents of our local universities were simply introducing CAD. It means that our course contents are more methodological and theoreatical . And american university's program is focused on problem solving solution as a design tool.

  • Objectives : To provide basic data for preparing effective CPR guidelines and educational programs for dental hygiene students. Methods : Second-year dental hygiene students in the classes of 5 colleges in Seoul and Gyeonggi-Do from May, 2010 to September, 2010 were enrolled in this study. The subjects comprised of 113 students who had not received CPR education and 134 students who had. Results : 1. The subjective understanding of CPR increased significantly from 52.2% before the education program to 81.4% after the course. 2. The mean level of knowledge of CPR increased significantly from 3.57 before the education program to 6.10 after the course. 3. The attitude to CPR increased significantly from 64.6% before the education program to 86.6% after the program. 4. The appropriate CPR education timing determined by the subjects was high school(36.3%) and college(27.4%) before the education program but elementary school(38.1%) and high school(26.9%) after the course. Conclusions : Continuous CPR education and the development of a CPR educational program in the curriculum of a dental hygiene department are needed. This will help dental hygiene students perform correct CPR when they encounter cardiac arrest patients.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a high school home economics financial consumer education program based on backward design and validation by experts. The program was designed and developed by first selecting learning content elements through a review of existing research and an analysis of relevant literature. The next step was to categorize these elements into seven themes and apply the backward design instructional design model 2.0. The program was prepared in the form of a 21st teaching-learning course plan and workbook and was verified by nine home economics teachers with working experience in high school. The evaluation revealed that the average value for all questions was 3.81 (out of 4 points) and the CVR was .99, indicating that the program was valid. In addition, positive evaluations were received in terms of learning goals, content level, and learner participation by class. This study has significance in that a systematic financial consumer education program was developed by Education of Home Economics to improve the financial literacy of high school students. It can therefore be used as an elective course (mini-course) in Home Economics in the high school credit system. A follow-up study will be required to assess the improvement in financial literacy after implementing this program.

  • With the development of AI, multimedia tools in education offer personalized learning environments, which foster individual competencies. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of smart education as perceived by learners through a case study of university writing classes utilizing multimedia learning tools, and to explore potential applications. To achieve this, a writing course incorporating various multimedia tools to promote interaction was designed and implemented over the course of one semester, targeting 42 university students. Through the semester, student reactions and survey results were analyzed to investigate the effects and satisfaction levels regarding the use of multimedia learning tools in writing instruction as perceived by students. The analysis revealed that multimedia-assisted writing classes effectively fostered learners' autonomy by focusing on individual needs, while also promoting interaction and encouraging spontaneous participation. Students reported recognizing the presence of diverse perspectives by comparing and communicating about each other's writing, leading to an expansion of their own thinking. In using ChatGPT, it was found that students attempted to refine their questions until they obtained the desired answers. They reported that this process deepened their understanding of the essence of the questions. These benefits led to results of high levels of students' active class engagement and satisfaction. This study contributes foundational and empirical data regarding the effectiveness and potential applications of learner-centered smart education as part of fourth industrial revolution integration research.

  • This paper examines the academic basis, current status, and future directions of liberal education for engineers as consilience education. After paying attention to the lists of liberal education for engineers including history of technology, technology and society, engineering ethics, economics of technology, management of technology, and technology policy, I found the academic basis of liberal education for engineers in science and technology studies or innovation studies. And then I monitored how liberal education for engineers is managed focusing on the case of Pusan National University and introduced new attempts on liberal education for engineers in other universities in Korea. Lastly, the future directions for the development of liberal education for engineers were suggested such as the strengthening of lecturers' expertise, the reconstruction of engineering education course, and the promotion of relevant academic associations' cooperation.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to survey the present status of the gerontological nursing course in Baccalaureate degree programs(BSN) in Korea, so as to provide basic data for developing a standard model for a gerontological nursing curriculum. Method: Data on the contents of a gerontological nursing curriculum was collected from those programs that had a gerontological nursing course. Result: The results show that 48 schools(87.3%) offered a gerontological nursing course. Twenty-five schools(45.5%) had both lectures and clinical practicum, while 23 schools(41.8%) had only lectures. Twenty-seven schools(56%) offered a gerontological nursing course as an elective. Students earned the most number of credits in their senior year. The most common credit system for lecture subjects was 2 credits with 38 schools(79.2%) and a clinical practicum was 1 credit with 20 schools(80%). The issues identified were that gerontological nursing was an elective and not a mandatory course, a lack of clinical lab hours, and a lack of common learning objectives. Conclusion: Recommendations are made for better defined curricula in gerontological nursing. In addition, further investigations of the learners or students entering gerontological nursing to facilitate curriculum development and appropriate instructional strategies are needed.

  • Recently, the demand for the customized courseware which is required from the learners is increased. Therefore the needs of the efficient and automated education agents in the web-based instruction are recognized. In this paper we propose a multi-agent system for course scheduling of learner-oriented using weakness analysis algorithm. At first proposed system analyze learner's result of evaluation and calculates learning accomplishment. From this accomplishment the multi-agent schedules the suitable course for the learner. The learner achieves an active and complete learning from the repeated and suitable course.
