In modern distributed enterprise applications that have multilayered architecture, business entities are a kind of crosscutting concerns running through service components that implements business logic in each layer. When business entities are modified, service components related to them should also be modified so that they can deal with those business entities with new types, even though their functionality remains the same. Our previous paper proposed what we call the DTT (Data Type-Tolerant) component model to efficiently process the variability of business entities, which are data externalized from service components. While the DTT component model, by removing direct coupling between service components and business entities, exempts the need to rewrite service components when business entities are modified, it incurs the burden of implementing data type converters that mediate between them. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a method to use ontology as the metadata of both SCDTs (Self-Contained Data Types) in service components and business entities, and a method to generate data type converter code using the ontology. This ontology-based DTT component model greatly enhances the reusability of service components and the efficiency in processing data variability by allowing the computer to automatically generate data type converters without error.
This paper proposes a novel method that couples fluid and deformation/fracture. Our method considers two interaction types: fluid-object interaction and fluid-fluid interaction. In fluid-fluid interaction, we simulate water and smoke separately and blend their velocities in the intersecting region depend on their densities. Our method separates projection process into two steps for each of water and smoke. This reduces the number of grid cells required for projection in order to optimize the number of iterations for convergence and improve stability of the simulation. In water projection step, smoke region regarded as the cells with Dirichlet boundary condition. The smoke projection step solves water region with Neumann boundary condition. To take care of fluid-object interaction, we make use of the fluid pressure to update velocities of the each of the mass points so that the object can deform or fracture. Although our method doesn't provide physically accurate results, the various examples show that our method generate appealing visuals with good performance.
Rapid industrial development has led to a serious problem of pollution in the industrial sector. With the increasing social need for environmental protection, research on air pollution prevention equipment for reducing pollutants in industrial processes is actively being undertaken. The deterioration of existent, installed facilities, their increased emission rates, and the strengthening of the effluent quality standards make complying with permissible emission standards difficult. In fact, installing new electric precipitators or complementing existent facilities is inevitable. The expansion and complementation of the installed electrical precipitators have led to improvements in dust collection efficiency, shorter working times, and lower costs. Because of its easy installation and simple manufacturing process, the production method with the discharge electrode of an electric precipitator is widely used. The following conclusions were reached by classifying discharge electrodes into four types based on the production method and mutually comparing them by their dust collection efficiency. None of the four types used in this study were damaged by impact. However, we were able to confirm some strain from the compression sites of both type A and type B. Both type B and type C are expected to have greater dust collection efficiencies than the other models due to their large vibration transmissibility. Moreover, the high vibrational energy is expected to cause rapping damage during its operation. Particularly, in the case of type B, some of the strain was found at the end of the compression site. The coupling schemes of both type C and type D are out of vibration transmissibility. On the other hand, the ability to maintain straightness and solidity of the side is regarded as outstanding and stable. Type D has outstanding on-site workability, considering the presence of locking, structural stability, and work conditions. From these experiments, we determined that type C is the most ideal connection method of discharge electrode, considering its construction period of renovation. Type C is inferior to type D with regard to on-site workability. However, type C has outstanding dedusting transmission with regard to the straightness, solidity maintenance, and vibration of shearing stress.
Bone remodeling is characterized by the coupling of osteoclast-mediated bone resorption and osteoblast-mediated bone formation. The process is tightly regualted at the local level by an incompletely known netwotk of peptide and non-peptide fators. Nitric oxide(NO), synthesized by nitric oxide synthetase(NOS) from L-arginine, is becoming recognized as an important bioregualtory molecule in a variety of tissue, but little is known about its possible role in periodontal tissue. The purpose of this study is to investigate the expression of nitric oxide synthetase(NOS) in inflamed gingiva and the effects of cytokine on the expression of NOS protein. The expression of NOS in gingival tissue was evaluated by immunohistochemical staining for $NOS_1$, $NOS_2$, $NOS_3$. The effect of cytokine on the expression of NOS in human periodontal ligament cells and osteoblast-like HOS cells by western blot analysis. Further, we studied that NO functions in periodontal ligament cells as a regulatory molecule. PDL cells incubated with NOS inhibitor and donor. The protein expression, type I collagen & non-collagenous protein, nitrate production and cell proliferation were evaluated The results were as follows. 1. $NOS_1$, $NOS_2$, $NOS_3$ was rarely distributed in healthy gingiva, but stronger stained in gingival epithelium, endothelial cells, and mononuclear cells of inflammed gingiva. 2. The cytokine stimulated $NOS_1$, and $NOS_3$ protein were not inducing or inhibitory effect to compared with control in PDL and HOS cells. 3.Incubation of cells with combination of $TNF-{\alpha}$, $IFN-{\gamma}$, LPS result in a time dependant increase in $NOS_2$ expression, reaching a maximal level after 24 hours of stimulation. 4. The osteonectin protein inhibitory effect of NMA, inhibitor of NOS, was reversed by Larginine in dose dependant manner. 5. NMA decreased cell poliferation and nitrate production, but the inhibitory efffect of NMA was also prevented by the NO donor, sodium nitropruiside. These results suggest that exogenously synthesized NO was playing a stimulating effect on cell proliferation or on non-collagenous protein expression. Therefore NO have an important role in mediation of localized bone destruction associated inflammatory bone disease such as periodontitis.
This paper attempts to analyze the narrative strategy of co-produced transnational romance films, (2007) and (2010). These films were produced during the heyday of Korean wave, the phenomenon Korean popular culture enjoys overseas fandom. Coupling Korean male star with Japanese female star, and dramatizing their romance, the industries attempted to attract the nations' cultural consumers. International co-production has been considered as a mode of production strategic enough to penetrate into neighboring nations. One of the major benefits of international co-production is to cope with 'cultural discount' between nations. Since producers and directors from different cultural background can participate in the creative process and share ideas, they can devise quite strategic form and content to please culturally heterogeneous consumers. Korea and Japan have long been in socio-political conflict, which makes it crucial for these films' cultural producers not to stir spectators' nationalism. In other words, these films' cultural producers had to develop a narrative strategy not to analogize nations' political reality. This paper, therefore, aims to analyze the narrative structure of these films, and to specify narrative strategy in detail.

In this study, an assistive device for BVM (Bag Valve Mask) was developed. When emergencies occur, rescuers must perform artificial respiration within four minutes utilizing suitable BVM. If not, the patient can suffer serious damage within their brain and body systems. The rescuer must execute artificial respiration until the patient arrives at the hospital. In the process of artificial respiration, the rescuer can feel fatigued in their forearm muscles, particularly those who may have smaller hands or weaker muscle strength. Many products have been developed to solve these problems, but these products are difficult to market and commercialize because of their volume, size, and difficulty of use. In this paper, the BVM assistive device that has been previously manufactured was improved, and an attempt was made to devise a new method that reduces the burden on the user. The BVM assistive device can be divided into three-parts: a head part for compressing the air bag, which can control the amount of air; the body part for coupling with BVM; and finally, the handle that can rotate for better use on various postures of patients. Throughout the experiment, the assistive device could inject an equal amount of air into the patients. As a result, the rescuer could feel less fatigue and inject a suitable amount of air to emergency patients during artificial respiration.
T7 bacteriophage gp4 is the replicative DNA helicase that unwinds double-stranded DNA by utilizing dTTP hydrolysis energy. The quaternary structure of the active form of T7 helicase is a hexameric ring with a central channel. Single-stranded DNA passes through the central channel of the hexameric ring as the helicase translocates $5'\rightarrow3'$ along the single-stranded DNA. The DNA unwinding was measured by rapid kinetic methods and showed a lag before the single-stranded DNA started to accumulate exponentially. This behavior was analyzed by a kinetic stepping model for the unwinding process. The observed lag phase increased as predicted by the model with increasing double-stranded DNA length. Trap DNA added in the reaction had no effect on the amplitudes of double-stranded DNA unwound, indicating that the $\tau7$ helicase is a highly processive helicase. Global fitting of the kinetic data to the stepping model provided a kinetic step size of 10-11 bp/step with a rate of $3.7 s^{-1}$ per step. Both the mechanism of DNA unwinding and dTTP hydrolysis and the coupling between the two are unaffected by temperature from $4∼37^{\circ}C$. Thus, the kinetic stepping for dsDNA unwinding is an inherent property of tile replicative DNA helicase.
The purpose of this study was to investigate a role of cytochrome $P_{450}$, for the toxicity of the phosalone in in vitro and in vivo bioactivation systems. The bimolecular inhibition rate constants$(k_i)$ of the phosalone to acetylcholinesterase(AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase(BuChE) were approximately $10^2M^{-1}{\cdot}min^{-1}$, respectively, which meant a poor inhibitor. The potency of the phosalone as an inhibitor of AChE and BuChE was increased about 300 and 40 fold, respectively, when the inhibitor and the ChE were incubated with microsomes fortified with NADPH compared with microsome alone. Piperonyl butoxide(PB) addition to these coupled systems greatly reduced the inhibition of both target enzymes by blocking a bioactivation process. The $I_{50}$ value of the Phosalone alone for rat brain AChE was 170 mg/kg. When PB was pretreated, that value was altered to 42.5 mg/kg. PB pretreatment synergized the inhibition of brain AChE with four times. Rat blood erythrocyte AChE and plasma BuChE were similarly inhibited in vivo by the phosalone and PB pretreatment didn't affect significantly the pattern of the inhibition. The in vivo studies showed different results in the role of cytochrome $P_{450}$ from those of the in vitro studies.
CCK and cholinergic agonist stimulate enzyme release from the pancreatic acini via G-protein-mediated activation of phospholipase C, In contrast secretin and related peptides increase the level of cAMP and activate cAMP-dependent protein kinase. Camostat, a synthetic protease inhibitor, causes pancreatic hypertrophy and hyperplasia by increasing the CCK release. In this study, the secretagogue-induced changes of intracellular proteins were examined in the dispersed pancreatic acini of rats with or without camostat treatment. Camostat(FOY-305, 200 mg/kg, p.o.) was given for 4 days twice daily and the dispersed acini were prepared at 12 bouts after last treatment. The profiles of Intracellular phosphoproteins were analyzed by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis after incubating the acini with $^{32}P$. The amylase release from the dispersed acini was measured. The pancreatic weight was increased to 126% of control, while amylase activity per mg acinar protein decreased to 41% of control, The maximum response of amylase release from dispersed acini to CCK-8 or carbachol was markedly decreased(65% or 46% of control, respectively). The group of intracellular proteins(24 kD, pI $4.5{\sim}8.5$) was increased in quantity by camostat. CCK-8 or secretin increased phosphorylation of a protein(34 kD, pI 4.7) in camostat-treated as well as control rats. CCK-8 increased tyrosine phosphoryiation in the acini of control rats. However, in camostat-treated rats, the basal level of tyrosine phosphorylation was increased and it was rather decreased by CCK-8. Secretin had no effect on the level of tyrosine phosphorylation in acini. These results indicate that both phospholipase C and adenylate cyclase induce phosphorylation of an intracellular acinar protein(34 kD, pI 4.7) and camostat treatment increases the basal level of tyrosine phosphorylation in acinar cells. And these results suggest that not only serine/threonine protein kinase but also protein tyrosine kinase/phosphatase are involved in the process of CCK receptor mediated stimulation-secrelion coupling.

Large span spaces have been widely used for various purposes including sports events in other countries. Due to increasing demands on multi-purpose use of such spaces, recently built large span sport facilities such dome stadiums have been required to accommodate sport events as well as performing events. Also, retractable ceilings and/or walls were generally adopted in those spaces for providing various event conditions. It seems obvious that the openings between diffuse fields and free field may cause difficulties in the acoustic design of such spaces In the present work, the acoustic characteristics of non-diffuse field has been investigated using 1/10 acoustic scale models. It was found that RTs at low- and mid-frequencies decayed faster than those at high-frequencies as the percentage of opening area increased. The decay rate of RTs at high frequencies were not influenced by increasing the area of an opening. Also high dependence of EDT on the percentage of opening area was observed at all frequency range. D50 was not improved by increasing the area of an opening up to 12.5% and then sharply increased. The application of Schroeder integration to evaluate the reverberation charateristics of coupled spaces may not be proper, since non-exponential decay process with double or triple decays of those spaces can not be properly defined. EDT seems more appropriate to predict reverberation at the early acoustic design stage of acoustically coupled spaces.
