법정근로시간 단축의 거시경제 효과 분석 (An Empirical Analysis on Macro-economic Effects of the Proposed Reduction of Legal Working Hours in Korea)

  • 본 논문은 법정근로시간 단축에 대한 이론적 및 실증적 효과를 분석한다. 법정근로시간 단축은 이론적으로 임금소득을 상승시키며 소비를 촉진하는 효과가 있는 반면 실근로시간은 약간 줄어들거나 정체하며 비용 상승이 클 경우 고용이 감소하는 효과를 일으킨다. 거시모형을 통한 실증분석은 법정근로시간 단축으로 실질임금이 상승하고 소비가 증대하는 반면 실근로시간의 단축은 법정근로시간 단축 크기의 절반 정도에 그치고 비용 인상 인플레이션이 일어나 GDP와 투자가 감소하는 결과를 낳는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 법정근로시간 단축이 단계적으로 시행될수록, 그리고 월차휴가, 생리휴가 폐지와 같은 보완장치가 더불어 시행될수록 이 같은 부정적인 효과는 줄어드는 것으로 나타났다.

THE USE OF CASSAVA IN BROILER FEEDING IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC

  • An experiment was conducted to investigate the nutritional and economic effects of complete replacement of maize with sun-dried cassava (SDC) in the diet of broiler chickens raised from one day of age to seven weeks. The complete replacement of maize by SDC resulted in a 10 percent reduction (p<0.05) in final bodyweights (1.91 vs 1.72 kg); and a 5 percent reduction (p>0.05) in average feed intake (4.01 vs 3.81 kg). Feed efficiency was not affected (p > 0.05). Cost per kilogramme of feed was reduced by nearly 30 percent and cost per kilogramme of bodyweight gain lowered by about 26 percent by using SDC diet. Relative profit return after accounting for cost of feed and cost of day old chick was higher by 11 percent on the SDC diet. It was concluded that despite the reduction in final bodyweight, the attractive economic return obtained from using SDC, a locally produced ingredient, may be justified in place of maize which is imported.

  • Current volume reduction methods for wasted expandable polystyrene (EPS) foam are summarized and compared each other. Wasted EPS foam has not been recycled effectively because of its large volume to weight ratio. This has prevented from its proper recycling because of high cost of transportation to recycling plant. Successful recycling of wasted EPS foam results directly from successful, i.e. economically and environmentally, volume reduction of wasted EPS foam. This paper deals with various methods for volume reduction methods of wasted EPS foam. Five typical methods of volume reduction are introduced and they are compared each other in terms of expected PS properties after volume reduction, cost effectiveness of each process, possible effects on environment caused by the volume reduction process, and possible recycled products. The methods include thermal, solvent, far infrared and mechanical compaction. Comparison in this paper is made mostly in qualitative manner. The focus in this study is concentrated on summarizing and comparing existing methods of volume reduction for wasted EPS foam.

임도 시설에 따른 접근성 개선 및 산림작업비용 절감효과(I) - 조림 및 숲가꾸기 작업을 중심으로 - (Effect of Forest Road Network on Accessibility and Cost Reduction for Forest Operations (I) - Silvicultural Operations -)

  • 본 연구는 산림작업이 지속적으로 이루어진 5개 지방청 8개 경영계획구를 대상으로 조림 및 숲가꾸기 작업에서 임도시설 전 후의 접근성과 산림작업비용의 절감효과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 임도 및 공도로부터 500 m 이내의 사업실행 면적이 임도 시설 전 평균 28.5%에서 임도 시설 후 평균 90.3%로 약 3.2배 증가하였으며, 임도 시설에 따른 조림 및 숲가꾸기 작업에서의 산림작업비용 절감효과는 평균 576천원/km/년인 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 임도시설이 원활한 산림작업을 위한 접근성 개선 및 작업비용 절감효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 임도의 시설효과 분석을 통해 임도 확충 정책의 추진을 위한 기초자료의 제공이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • Benefit-cost analysis is one of key elements of feasibility study on a large scale investment for transportation infrastructure improvements. Benefit-cost analysis requires measuring expected benefits after the investment is completed. Reduction of delays is the major source for the benefit among other measurable benefits. Measurement methods for delays reduction have been reviewed and two methods were recommended for passenger delay and aircraft operation delay. Using these method, the effects of Cheju International Airport Improvement Projects were evaluated.

  • Interest about Modal Shift is not being decreased, and it is drawing limelight as green logistics which meets low carbon green growth of National development vision. As an effect of Modal Shift, not only reduction in CO2 emission but also reduction in social cost, logistics cost etc. are being discussed. However, until now research about its practical transformation effect has been scanty. In this study, the actual expenses via CO2 emission, social cost, and logistics cost etc. by road transportation and rail transportation of container cargo with Origin/Destination between Busan-Kyeonggi Area were calculated and we propose beneficial effects when transportation mode is transformed from road to rail with Scenario Planning.

  • This Purpose of this paper is to suggest the effects of success factors of six sigma on the management performance. This dissertation deal with key factors that led to successful implementation through existing literature. Therefore, this major success factors of six sigma revealed performance of cost reduction and improving quality. This study is empirical analysis the effects of six sigma performance of cost reduction and improving quality)on the management performance(profitability, growth, market value). The results of this study, six sigma quality performance turns out to have positive(+) effect on the all management performance.

The effects of construction related costs on the optimization of steel frames

  • This paper presents a computational study that explores the design of rigid steel frames by considering construction related costs. More specifically, two different aspects are investigated in this study focusing on the effects of (a) reducing the number of labor intensive rigid connections within a frame of given geometric layout, and (b) reducing the number of different member section types used in the frame. A genetic algorithm based optimization framework searches design space for these objectives. Unlike some studies that express connection cost as a factor of the entire frame weight, here connections and their associated cost factors are explicitly represented at the member level to evaluate the cost of connections associated with each beam. In addition, because variety in member section types can drive up construction related costs, its effects are evaluated implicitly by generating curves that show the trade off between cost and different numbers of section types used within the frame. Our results show that designs in which all connections are considered to be rigid can be excessively conservative: rigid connections can often be eliminated without any appreciable increase in frame weight, resulting in a reduction in overall cost. Eliminating additional rigid connections leads to further reductions in cost, even as frame weight increases, up to a certain point. These complex relationships between overall cost, rigid connections, and member section types are presented for a representative five-story steel frame.

ATM기반 유무선 통합망에서 이동성으로 인한 핸드오프 QoS보장 방안 (Handoff QoS guarnatee on ATM-based wired/wireless integrated network)

  • On ATM-based wired/wireless integrated network, we apply the connection re-routing method[1] which reduced the inter-cluster handoff delay by reserving VPI/VCLs for possible inter-cluster handoff calls in advance. Additionally, we propose wired resource reservation methods, which are ausiliary method and split method, for handoff QoS guarantee of various expected services. The characteristics of these methods reserve wired connection resources based on the information on the possible inter-cluster handoff calls. With mathematical analysis, we also propose each algorithm and cost function for deciding an optimal amount in reserving resources. With numberical examples, we can see that the auxiliary method effectively reduces the cost in all cases(.alpha.>.betha., .alpha.=.betha., and .alpha.<.betha.). The split method has a little cost-reduction effects, when handoffs call does not have priority over new calls (that is, .alpha..leq..betha.) and the total capacity is relatively large. In other cases, the split method, however, has effective cost-reduction effects. The numerical resutls show that these reservation methods ca flexibly cope with the time-variant environment and meet the QoS requriements on the inter-cluster handoff calls.

고몰입 인적자원관리가 서비스성과에 미치는 영향과 내적혁신방향의 매개효과 (The Effects of High Commitment HRM on the Service Performance: Mediating Effect of Internal Innovation Direction)

  • 본 연구는 국내 서비스산업의 기업체를 대상으로 고몰입 인적자원관리의 수준이 서비스성과에 미치는 효과와 조직의 내적인 혁신방향이 갖는 매개효과를 분석하였다. 구체적으로 내적인 혁신 방향은 기업의 인력과 서비스의 고부가가치화 방향과 비용절감 다운사이징 방향으로 구성되며, 인력과 서비스의 고부가가치화 방향은 긍정적인 매개효과를 가질 것으로, 비용절감 다운사이징 방향은 부정적인 매개효과를 가질 것으로 예측하였다. 분석을 위한 자료는 한국노동연구원(KLI)의 2013년도 사업체패널 조사자료(WPS)의 1,775개 업체 중 도소매, 운수, 전문과학서비스, 교육서비스, 보건사회복지서비스, 금융서비스, 기타(정보사회지원서비스 등)서비스로 분류되는 896개 사업체의 응답을 활용하였다. 가설검증을 위한 분석은 구조방정식 분석을 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 고몰입 인적자원관리는 고부가가치화 혁신방향에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 비용절감 다운사이징에는 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 고부가가치화 혁신방향은 서비스성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 비용절감 다운사이징은 서비스성과에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 고몰입 인적자원관리의 서비스성과에 대한 직접효과를 확인하지 못하였으나, 고부가가치화 혁신 방향의 긍정적인 매개효과와 비용절감 다운사이징 혁신 방향의 부정적인 매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타나 두 변수가 고몰입 인적자원관리와 서비스성과의 관계에 대해 완전매개효과를 가지는 것을 확인하였다.
