1"his Study is to make research a Image and Symbol in the Gothic Architecture. Firstly, the concept of the symbol and the image effect are essentially based on the meaning that the activity of consciousness take on the constitution of the symbol. Therefore the image represent the deepest content of human nature has been imagination and reality. Secondly, the symbol concept showed in Gothic Architecture was associated with the passion of the order of middle ages. The world, the cosmos and the history had been revealed in Gothic architecture. In Gothic Image, Emile Male maintained the symbol of the Catholic Church as above mentioned. The Catholic Church was mirror of the natural, the institution, the moral and history, then this passion of the order was a christian order. Especially, E. Panofsky said that the scholastic method was shown in Gothic architecture. He assert that it was especially dialectic method used in theology. That is, he explained the transfiguration of Gothic Architecture with the process of thesis, anti-thesis, synthesis. These symbolize light, magnitude, clearness. Finally, symbolic image is important in Post-Modem architecture at present. Post-Modern architecture is associated with the public and the Pluralism. Post-Modern architecture attempt to communicate as symbolic language among the assumption for diverse aspect of culture.

At first, we explained concepts of Oseong(五聲) in "Akhakgwebeom(樂學軌範)" and then compared them with O-eum(五音) in "Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經)". In that progress we can have recognized the commonness and differences between two texts, and became familiar with ideas of sounds in minds of ancients. That ideas are concerned with true nature of human and cosmos. Based on that ideas, we could return to stasis of mutual understanding with each other, it means a condition of harmony. For that purpose we must understand detail meanings of O-eum(五音) and Oseong(五聲), and this analysis lead clinical music therapy to do an important thing as methodology of treating human body and minds. The ideas of O-eum(五音) in "Akhakgwebeom(樂學軌範)" are not exactly corresponded to vocalization of Hunminjeongeum(訓民正音) that is Korean characters, and Oseong(五聲) in "Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經)". But this dissonancy is a problem of methodology, on the contrary, there are many common concepts and possibilities of application to practical uses between them.

This study identifies the basic personality types of subjects who use the healing garden and investigates their plants-preference. The purpose of the study is to provide a basic information about planting plan, considered as a main parts of healing garden. Survey results are stated as follows: First, the order of preference of instinct type tree is Prunus yedoensis, zelkova serrata, Phyllostachys Bambusoides. On the other hands, the order of preference of feeling and thinking type is Prunus yedoensis, zelkova serrata, Metasequoia glyptostroboides. Second, the order of preference of instinct type of flowers is Rosa hybrida, Hibiscus syriacus, Forsythia koreana. However, the preference of emotional type is the order of Rosa hybrida, cosmos bipinnatus, Helianthus annuus and the preference of accident type is the order of Rosa hybrida, Hibiscus syriacus, Helianthus annuus. Third, for the color preferences, instinct type prefer yellow color, feeling type and thinking type prefer red color. Lastly, when people view plants, most personality types are interested in flower firstly, and secondly type of tree and scent. In other words, we can assume that people are interested in the flowers, most noticeable in plants. This study will enhance the effectiveness of the healing garden by providing relevant information regarding healing garden planting plan. Future research should consider to widen the range of target of investigation in order to perform additional comparison analysis.

This study was carried out to offer the basic data for establishing the management plan and constructing the ecological data by surveying and analysing the flora distributed in main survey sites(Mt. Gwangdeok, Mt. Cheonggye and Mt. Jukyeop), Hanbuk-Jeongmaek. The flora were summarized, numbering 659 taxa including 99 families, 341 genera, 575 species, 4 subspecies, 69 varieties and 11 forms. The rare plants were 16 taxa including Tylophora floribunda, Hanabusaya asiatica, Lilium cernuum, Belamcanda chinensis and so forth. The Korean endemic plants were 24 taxa including Salix koriyanagi, Aconitum pseudolaeve, Clematis trichotoma, Hosta minor and so forth. The specific plants by floristic region were 95 taxa including 32 taxa of grade I, 31 taxa of grade II, 25 taxa of grade III, 5 taxa of grade IV and 2 taxa of grade V. The naturalized plants were 38 taxa including Fallopia dumetorum, Silene armeria, Cosmos bipinnatus, Poa pratensis and so forth. The invasive alien plants were 4 taxa including Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Ambrosia trifida, Aster pilosus and Eupatorium rugosum.

A high performance computing cluster for astronomical computations has been built at Korea Astronomy Observatory. The 64 node cluster interconnected with Gigabit Ethernet is composed of 128 Intel Xeon processors, 160 GB memory, 6 TB global storage space, and an LTO (Linear Tape-Open) tape library. The cluster was installed and has been managed with the Open Source Cluster Application Resource (OSCAR) framework. Its performance for parallel computations was measured with a three-dimensional hydrodynamic code and showed quite a good scalability as the number of computational cells increases. The cluster has already been utilized for several computational research projects, some of which resulted in a few publications, even though its full operation time is less than one year. As a major resource of the $K^*Grid$ testbed, the cluster has been used for Grid computations, too.

Telescope Array (TA) experiment in Utah, USA, observes ultrahigh-energy cosmic rays (UHECRs); UHECRs refer cosmic rays with energy above $10^{18}eV$. Using COSMOS and CORSIKA, we have produced a library of over 1000 thinned extensive air shower (EAS) simulations with the primary energies ranging from $10^{18.5}eV$ to $10^{20.25}eV$ and the zenith angle of primary cosmic ray particle from $0^{\circ}$ to $45^{\circ}$. Here, we present the energy spectrum of particles arriving at the ground. We have also calculated the detector response evaluated using GEANT4 simulations. Here, we discuss S(800), i.e. the signal at a distance of 800 m from the shower core, as the primary energy estimator.

To examine the trend on the flowering time in some weather flora including Prunus serrulata var. spontanea, Cosmos bipinnatus, and Robinia pseudo-acacia in Busan, the changes in time series and rate of flowering time of plants were analyzed using the method of time series analysis. According to the correlation between the flowering time and the temperature, changing pattern of flowering time was very similar to the pattern of the temperature, and change rate was gradually risen up as time goes on. Especially, the change rate of flowering time in C. bipinnatus was 0.487 day/year and showed the highest value. In flowering date in 2007, the difference was one day between measurement value and prediction value in C. bipinnatus and R. pseudo-acacia, whereas the difference was 8 days in P. mume showing great difference compared to other plants. Flowering time was highly related with temperature of February and March in the weather flora except for P. mume, R. pseudo-acacia and C. bipinnatus. In most plants, flowering time was highly related with a daily average temperature. However, the correlation between flowering time and a daily minimum temperature was the highest in Rhododendron mucronulatum and P. persica, otherwise the correlation between flowering time and a daily maximum temperature was the highest in Pyrus sp.

This study is to analyze the works introduced in the collections of Paco Rabanne in an aim to identify formative aesthetic and design concepts. As the data to study the creative concepts and expressions of the designer, fashion photographs were gathered in a focus on collections. Paco Rabanne's fashion philosophy is to shine women who has passion, energy and self-confidence, with glittering materials. For he had a career of fashion accessary designer and architect, he tried to make his work constructively with non-sewing technology. So, his works could be divided three parts of materials which he has made creative fashion with. They are metallic, non-metallic and fabric. In metallic, design concepts are cosmos, egypt, the middle ages, modern technology. And from these the formative aesthetic were mainly characterized by the futurism, cubism and eroticism. In non-metallic, building, purism of primitiveness, nature. And from these the formative aesthetic were mainly characterized by surrealism, primitivism, romantism. In fabric, design concepts are natural phenomena, optical illusion. And from these the formative aesthetic were mainly characterized by cubism, optical art.

Wolfiporia cocos is a well-known traditional medicine in China, Japan, Korea, and other Asian countries owing to its numerous therapeutic properties. With the aim to determine the morphology and genetic characteristics of W. cocosten strains of W. cocos were cultivated in vitro, and subsequently, rapid amplification of polymorphic DNA was performed. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to examine the morphology of fruit bodies of W. cocos in Korea. W. cocos were cultured on PDA agar at different temperatures (12, 16, 20, 24, and $28^{\circ}C$) under 12-hour light (600 Lux) / 12-hour dark photoperiod condition for 1 month. Appearance of fruit body was the highest at $28^{\circ}C$ condition in all the strains investigated. Honeycomb-like structure on sclerotia was observed in Andong 01, Andong 02, Andong 03, KFRI 1104, KFRI 1105, KFRI 1106, KFRI 1107, KFRI 1108, and ASI 13007 strains of. The KFRI 1103 strain formed cosmos petal-like structure on sclerotia. The average size of basidiospores was recorded as $7.55{\mu}m$ in height and $3.35{\mu}$ in width.

This study is to review the oriental medical literatures about Chungye and endocrinologic literatures about menstration, pregnancy, menopause and male-sex cycle. The conclusions obtained are as follows; First, according to Naegyung, Chungye exists in both male and female, it makes human fertile. It comes with starting menstration and is exhausted with menopause. Second, it was said that the name of Chungye originated in Chun of Chunjinjiki(energy of genuine cosmos) and Gye of Imgyejisu(water of Imgye). Third, some authors advocated that Chungye is menstration. But it was criticized by other authors and it is not accepted at the present time. Forth, there was an assertion that Chungye is Eumjung. The assertion has been developed as the hypothesis that Chungye may be a endocrinologic substance relavant to menstration and pregnancy. Fifth, there was an interpretation that Chungye is FSH. But this interpretation might be unreasonable if it is based on the results observed by endocrinologic researches. According to the current endocrinologic researches, Chungye may be GnRH, when Chungye is the necessary endocrinologic substance to menstration and pregnancy, exists in male and female and is exhausted with menopause.
