고려인삼(Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer)의 년차간 형질상관 및 경로계수 분석 (The Correlation of Agronomic Characters and Path Coefficient Analysis in Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the correlation of agronomic characters, their path coefficients in 2, 3 and 4-year old ginseng plants, and to provide a useful information for ginseng breeding. Correlation coefficients between stem fen변h, number of leaves and number of Iraflets in 2-year age, and stem diameter and leaf length in 3-year age showed highly significant correlation with number of fruits and root weight in 4-year age. The path coefficient analysis indicated that stem length and number of leaflets might give indirect effects on root weight regardless of plant age. On the other hand, stem length and number of leaflets in 2-year age and, stem diameter and leaf length in 3-year age showed direct effects on root weight in 4-year old ginseng. These results may be used for selection of high-yielding ginseng plants. Key words Selection information, correlation and path coefficient analysis.

  • Dihaploid lines were derived from the anthers of the F, of single cross, "Va 115" x"SC 72" (Nicotiana tabacum L.). The path-analysis, correlation coefficient, and variation of characteristics among dihaploid families were evaluated. Dihaploid lines displayed much greater variation than their parents. The genetic correlation coefficient between yield and total alkaloids of dihaploids was significantly lower than that of conventional varieties and lines. In path-analysis which relates yield components to yield, number of leaves harvested and leaf width had a direct effect on yield. a direct effect on yield.

DCCA 방법으로 연결된 한반도의 기온 네트워크 분석 (Temperature network analysis of the Korean peninsula linking by DCCA methodology)

  • 본 논문에서는 1976년부터 2015년까지 40년 간, 59개 지역 기온 시계열을 대상으로 degrended cross-correlation analysis(DCCA) 방법을 이용한 상관 계수를 도출하였다. 4년 단위의 평균기온, 최고기온, 최저기온 시계열을 분석하여 상관계수 값이 0.9 이상이면 단위 기간 동안 두 지역의 온도 상관성이 존재하는 것으로 판단하고, 두 지역 간의 연결선을 만드는 방식으로 네트워크를 구축하였다. 이후 네트워크 이론을 바탕으로 평균 경로 길이, 결집 계수, 유사성, 모듈성 등의 값들을 도출하였다. 그 결과, 기온 네트워크는 좁은 세상 성질을 만족하고, 유사성과 모듈성이 높은 네트워크임을 알 수 있었다.

일부 치위생과 학생의 귀인성향, 자기효능감이 시험불안에 미치는 영향 (Effect of attribution disposition and self-efficacy on test anxiety in selected dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine effect of attribution disposition and self-efficacy on test anxiety in selected college students who major in dental hygiene. This study provides basic data to develop a program for dental hygiene students to reduce test anxiety. Methods : 328 students from A college in Kyungnam, B college in Chunnam and C university in Chungnam who majored in dental hygiene were asked to answer the self-efficacy scale, attribution disposition and test anxiety scale in November and December. 2008. Total of 311 copies were analyzed. Using SPSS 15.0, correlation analysis was conducted and structural model was verified using AMOS 7.0. Evaluation of mediated effect of attribution disposition in suggested structural model was assessed using Sobel verification. Results : 1. Looking at the correlation among self-efficacy, attribution disposition and test anxiety. Self-efficacy had negative relation with external attribution disposition and test anxiety. External attribution disposition had positive relation with test anxiety. 2. Path coefficient from self-efficacy to internal attribution disposition was significant positively and path coefficient from self-efficacy to external attribution disposition was significant negatively. However, the path coefficient from self-efficacy to test anxiety was insignificant. 3. Path coefficient from external attribution disposition to self-efficacy was positively significant. However, the path coefficient from internal attribution disposition to self-efficacy was not significant statistically. 4. In structural model among attribution disposition, test anxiety and self-efficacy, indirect effect of external attribution dispositions was significant statistically. The students with higher self-efficacy showed lower external attribution disposition, the students with lower external attribution disposition showed lower test anxiety. Conclusions : To reduce test anxiety, educators should find a strategy that can improve students' self-efficacy and change their attribution disposition.

Agronomic Characters and Their Correlation Coefficient on Black Seeded Soybeans Collected in Chonnam Province

  • In order to obtain the genetic information on the quantitative characters of black seeded soybeans, which would be needed to improve selection efficiency for breeding high yielding genotype, 45 varieties of black seeded soybeans collected in Chonnam, Korea were grown and variations of several important characters were observed. Heritability of each observed character, phenotypic and genotypic correlations among the characters and contribution of each yield component on grain yield through path coefficient analysis were estimated. Both number of pods per plant and 100-seed weight showed not only high heritability but also highly significant phenotypic and genotypic correlation with seed yield, and hence it was desirable to select plants with more number of pods per plant and higher 100-seed weight than raise seed yield of black seeded soybeans collected in Chonnam. In addition, number of pods per and 100-seed weight were proved to be the most influential variables on the viability of seed yield by path coefficient analysis. Since these showed the high heritability of number of pods per plant, selection of plants with higher 100-seed weight would be more efficient for breeding high yielding genotype.

Performance of Heritabilities, Genetic Correlations and Path Coefficients of Some Agronomic Traits at Different Cultural Environment in Sesame

  • This study was conducted to analyze the responses of some agronomic traits to the different cultural environments and relations among the agronomic traits for selecting sesame varieties with higher cultural stabilities. The indexes for stability parameters measured were coefficient of variability, heritabilities, genetic correlations and path coefficients of agronomic traits according to locations and years in Korea. The heritabilities of agronomic traits showed different by locations and years. Number of seeds per capsule and 1000 seeds weight showed higher heritabilities, but stem length and seed weight per plant showed relatively lower heritabilities. Average heritabilities of some agronomic traits in 1998 were comparatively higher than those of 1999. Of six areas, Jinju area showed biggest coefficient of yield variability in 1998-1999. Iksan and Taegu areas showed higher heritabilities in 1998, but Iksan and Jinju areas showed lower heritabilities in 1999. Genetic correlations were slightly higher than corresponding phenotypic correlations. Stem length showed positive genetic correlation with the number of capsules per plant, and seed weight per plant and the number of capsule per plant showed positive genetic correlation with seed weight per plant. On the analysis of path coefficients, stem length and number of capsules effected highly on grain yield. Great regional variations were observed on the effects of agronomic traits on grain yield. Higher direct effects of stem length on grain yield were observed at Suwon, Chungwon, Taegu, Jinju and Naju areas, but in Iksan area was observed higher direct effect of the number of capsules per plant on grain yield in 1998. In 1999, higher direct effect of stem length on grain yield was observed at Chungwon and Suwon areas. Iksan and Taegu areas were also observed higher direct effect of the number of capsule per plant on grain yield.

누에의 실용형질에 대한 유전력, 유전상관 및 경로계수의 분석 (Heritability, Genetic Correlation and Path Coefficient Analysis of Economic Characters in the Silkworm, Bombyx mori)

  • 가잠육종의 선발에 대한 유전적 Parameter를 추적학 ldnl해 누에 일본종계통 3, 중국종계통 4 모두 7개 품종을 이면교배하여 주요 견성과 사질의 유전력과 유전상관을, 그리고 유전상관의 값을 이용하여 여러 형질이 직접 또는 간접적으로 견사량에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위한 경로계수를 추정하였다. 원잠종을 재료로 한 각 형질의 유전력은 F1, F2세대에서 5령경과, 단견중, 견층중, 견층비율, fibroin량, 견층연감율, 견사량 등이 모두 76.65% 이상이었다. 형질상호간의 상관관계를 F1, F2 세대에서 자웅별로 보면 표현형상관과 유전상관의 값은 대체로 정의 방향이었고, 유전상관의 값이 표현형상관의 값보다 일반적으로 높았다. 견사량과의 형질상호간의 상관관계에서 단견중, 견층중, 견층비율, fibroin량 등은 F1, F2세대의 자웅이 모두 0.727 이상의 높은 유전상관 값을 보였다. 주요 형질들의 유전력이 대체로 높고 유전상관의 값이 정의 방향이므로 이들 형질은 선발이 용이할 것으로 기대된다. 경로계수는 견사량에 관여하는 직접효과가 F1세대에서 자의 견층중이 0.991, 웅의 단견중이 0.803이고, F2세대에서 웅의 견층비율이 0.938, 웅의 fibroin량이 0.930으로서 정의 방향으로 그 효과가 크게 표현되었다. 경로계수에서 견사량에 관여하는 직·간접효과가 세대간과 자웅간에 차이는 있으나 주로 증량적 형질인 단견중, 견층중 등의 영향이 컸을 것으로 평가된다.

외식기업 브랜드 자산 구성 요인간의 관계 연구 (Relationships among Brand Equity Components)

  • The importance of brand and brand equity has greatly increased not only in the professional perspectives but also in academic viewpoints. Especially, lots of related studies have been focused on the components of brand equity itself. However, this study concentrates on the relationships of brand equity components for understanding consumers' attitudes toward the brands of the food-service businesses. The basic research model consists of 4 brand equity components: brand awareness, perceived quality, brand image, and brand preference. Research data are gathered through survey questions responded by university students. For statistical analysis, correlation analysis, factor analysis, and covariance structure analysis are carried out. The result of this study are summed up as follows. Among the brand equity components, brand awareness had a great effect on perceived quality(path coefficient; 0.476). Brand image highly influenced brand preference(path coefficient; 0.439).

Genetic variability, associations, and path analysis of chemical and morphological traits in Indian ginseng [Withania somnifera (L.) Dunal] for selection of higher yielding genotypes

  • Background: The study was carried out to assess the genetic variability present in ashwagandha and to examine the nature of associations of various traits to the root yield of the plant. Methods: Fifty-three diverse genetic stocks of ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) were evaluated for 14 quantitative characteristics. Analysis of variance, correlation, and path coefficient analysis were performed using the mean data of 2 years. Results: Analysis of variance revealed that the genotypes differed significantly for all characteristics studied. High heritability in conjunction with high genetic advance was observed for fresh root weight, 12 deoxywithastramonolide in roots, and plant height, which indicated that selection could be effective for these traits. Dry root weight has a tight linkage with plant height and fresh root weight. Further, in path coefficient analysis, fresh root weight, total alkaloid (%) in leaves, and 12 deoxywithastramonolide (%) in roots had the highest positive direct effect on dry root weight. Conclusion: Therefore, these characteristics can be exploited to improve dry root weight in ashwagandha genotypes and there is also scope for the selection of promising and specific chemotypes (based on the alkaloid content) from the present germplasm.

Path Coefficient Analysis on Major Silk Quality Characteristics of the Silkworm, Bombyx mori L.

  • By means of correlation analysis and path coefficient analysis, 18 characteristics of 325 conserved silkworm races were studied for the selecting efficiency on main silk quality characteristics. The result showed that selecting lines with heavier cocoon weight are beneficial to raise the weight of have. Choosing strains with higher cocoon shell percentage, longer filament length and better reelability percentage is good for increasing non-broken filament length. Selecting lines with medium daily weight of have produced in the fifth instar, medium cocoon shell percentage and simultaneously selecting heavier cocoon shell weight are favorable to promote reelability percentage. Choosing strains with heavier cocoon weight, higher cocoon shell percentage, heavier daily weight of bave produced in the fifth instar and heavier weight of bave but shorter filament length may hopefully breed out a race with thick filament size. And selecting strains with heavier weight of have and fine filament size are beneficial to increase filament length. Selecting lines with higher cocoon shell percentage and heavier weight of bave are favorable to raise raw silk percentage of cocoon. There are no significant direct or indirect correlation coefficient between viability and major characteristics of silk quality. It is, therefore, feasible to breed a silkworm race with excellent vitality and good silk quality as well.
