Verruco-papillary lesions (VPLs) of the oral cavity described in the literature involve a spectrum of conditions including squamous papilloma, verruca vulgaris, focal epithelial hyperplasia, condyloma, proliferative verrucous leukoplakia and verrucous carcinoma. A majority of the VPLs are slow growing, benign in nature and have a viral aetiology. Virus associated benign mucosal outgrowths are not too difficult to diagnose either clinically or by microscopy. Apart from virus-associated lesions, VPLs harboring malignant potential or behaviour such as verrucous carcinoma, proliferative verrucous leukoplakia, oral verrucous hyperplasia (OVH), oral papillary squamous cell carcinoma (PSCC) and oral conventional squamous cell carcinoma with papillary features (CSCC) need to be further clarified for better understanding of their predictable biologic behavior and appropriate treatment. Current understanding of potentially malignant VPLs is perplexing and is primarily attributed to the use of confusing and unsatisfactory terminology. In particular, the condition referred to as oral verrucous hyperplasia (OVH) poses a major diagnostic challenge. OVH represents a histopathological entity whose clinical features are not well recognised and is usually clinically indistinguishable from a verrucous carcinoma and a PSCC or a CSCC. A consensus report published by an expert working group from South Asia as an outcome of the 'First Asian Regional Meeting on the Terminology and Criteria for Verruco-papillary Lesions of the Oral Cavity' held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, recognised the clinical description of these OVH as a new entity named 'Exophytic Verrucous Hyperplasia'. Previously described clinical features of OVH such as the 'blunt' or 'sharp' variants; and the 'mass' or 'plaque' variants can now collectively fall under this newly described entity. This paper discusses in detail the application of the standardized criteria guidelines of 'Exophytic Verrucous Hyperplasia' as published by the expert group which will enable clinicians and pathologists to uniformly interpret their pool of OVH cases and facilitate a better understanding of OVH malignant potential.

This paper discusses the problem of coordinating aggregate planning and production schedules, minimizing the combined set-up inventory and capacity costs. In this study, by using the relation of fixed production quantity and the number of set-up we develop a heuristirc procedure of solving the discrete demand, fixed production quantity, variable capacity problem. First, we obtain the trade-off between set-up cost and capacity cost, then search the point minimizing the combined inventory and capacity costs.

This paper analyzes network selection issues of secondary users (SUs) in Cooperative Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs) by utilizing Queuing Model. Coordinating with Handover Cost-Based Network selection, this paper also addresses an opportunity for the secondary users (SUs) to enhance QoS as well as economics efficiency. In this paper, network selection of SUs is the optimal association between Overall System Time Minimization Problem evaluation of Secondary Connection (SC) and Handover Cost-Based Network selection. This will be illustrated by simulation results.

There are three major international agreements governing mutual recognition of engineering qualifications and professional competence of the International PEs; namely, Washington Accords, APEC engineer agreement and EMF agreement. International Organizations of APEC Engineer Coordinating Committer and Engineers Mobility Forum established international registries with the goal of improving international mobility. APEC and EMF membership requires minimum qualifications for licensure with the minimum standards including engineering education, Professional experience, compliance with home jurisdiction requirements, having verified record of responsible charge, and demonstrating a commitment to continuing education.

A modeling of the dynamics of two cooperating robot manipulators doing assembly job such as peg-in-hole while coordinating the payload along the desired path is proposed. The system is uncertain due to the unknown mass and moment of inertia of the manipulators and the payload. To control the system, a robust control algorithm is proposed. The control algorithm includes fuzzylogic. By the fuzzy logic, the magnitude of the input torque of the manipulators is controlled not to go over the hardware saturation with keeping path tracking errors bounded.

This paper describes the possible undesier-able side effects that thyristor controlled compensation may have upon in several relays. This process consisted of calculating line conditions for each of the fault, compensation and loading levels. In some cases their effectiveness at coordinating compensated lines is lost, as they no longer can always accurately determine "distances" to faults.

As STATCOM is considered to be installed in bulk power system, various studios are conducted to establish strategies for system operation considering STATCOM. This paper describes control strategy for coordinating STATCOM with existing switched shunt in bulk power system.
