  • The purpose of this study was to establish the relationship between social support(MOS-SSS) and cognitive impairment(MMSE-K) to the elderly in long-term care facilities. The study subjects were 372 aged 65 and older who were admitted to care facilities located in D metropolitan city. Data were collected through a personal interview conducted by interviewers who visited each care facility in October 2018. As a result, the levels of cognitive impairment(MMSE-K) was significantly higher in the group with lower social support(MOS-SSS) scores. In correlation to the cognitive impairment and social support, the cognitive impairment score showed a significant positive correlation between the social support score (r=0.250, p<0.001). Therefore, the lower the social support level, the higher the level of cognitive impairment. In result of the logistic regression, the risk ratio of critical cognitive impairment increased significantly from 2.8 times (ORs=2.75, 95% CI=1.40 to 5.79) in the low group(Q1) than in the very high group(Q4) of social support scores. A hierarchical multiple regression analysis shows that the lower the social support, the higher the cognitive impairment. As such research suggests that the cognitive impairment of the elderly in care facilities increases with lower social support, it is necessary to seek concrete measures to improve social support as part of the measures to enhance the recognition capability of the elderly in care facilities.

  • This study examined the relationship between spirituality, social support, and interpersonal relationships in the workplace of art psychotherapists. The subjects were 114 art psychotherapists in the city of U. Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed using the SPSS 22.0 program. First, regarding the effects of work spirituality of art psychotherapists on interpersonal relationships, the sub-factors of workplace spirituality (vocational consciousness, inner consciousness, and empathy consciousness) had a positive effect on interpersonal relationships. On the other hand, community consciousness and transcendence consciousness, which are sub-factors of workplace spirituality, do not appear to have a significant effect on interpersonal relationships. Second, regarding the effects of social support of art psychotherapists on interpersonal relations, the sub-factors of social support, such as evaluative support and material support, had a positive effect on interpersonal relationships. On the other hand, emotional support and informational support did not significantly affect interpersonal relationships. This means that higher vocational consciousness, inner consciousness, empathy consciousness, evaluative support, and material support factors of an artistic psychotherapist are conducive to better interpersonal relationships. This study provides basic data for preparing a plan to promote positive interpersonal relations among art psychotherapists.

  • This paper studies the factors that increase the sustainability of Industry-University cooperation in the current structure of domestic I-U cooperation, which is highly dependent on government support. First, we examine the extent to which the 'I-U Relationship Strength' can be explained by the cumulative 'Experiences of I-U cooperation' and 'Width of various I-U cooperation channels', and the 'I-U cooperation barrier' can be explained by the 'Difference in mutual recognition' and 'Institutional barriers' on sustainability. In addition, the factors that can lower the 'I-U cooperation barrier', such as the 'University administration's efforts' and 'Trust between I-U', are examined. The researchers examined the factors affecting the sustainability of I-U cooperation and the factors affecting 'I-U cooperation barriers' in the 'I-U cooperation technology development projects' of the Ministry of Small & Medium Venture Business and Startups with its long history of domestic I-U cooperation programs. In order to clarify the data of the research sample, a questionnaire survey of organizational units was conducted for all companies participating in the 'I-U cooperation technology development projects' of the Ministry of SMVB and Startups between 2011 and 2015, and the responses of 356 organizations were used. It was found that the greater the 'Width of the I-U cooperation channels', the higher the sustainability and that the greater the 'Institutional barriers', the lower the sustainability. However, through the 'University administration's efforts' and 'Trust between I-U', it is possible to overcome the 'I-U cooperation barrier'. Ultimately, the systematization of Industry-University-Research institute subjects is needed to realize sustainability. In other words, it is necessary to have a linkage program that can broaden the link between industry and universities, that is to broaden the scope of I-U cooperation. Moreover, it is necessary for the government to provide institutional support to promote desirable I-U cooperation policies. Finally, it is essential to change the universities' core organizations in order to improve the level of university administration services.

  • In recent years, the global financial crisis has worsened the economic environment for small and medium-sized businesses. A great number of South Korean enterprises are having various managerial difficulties, such as insufficient funds, shortage of manpower and lack of market information. To overcome these difficulties, many experts have suggested plans to encourage cooperation among small businesses, and such cooperation has provided diverse services to complement the insufficient capabilities of the individual companies. In spite of the efforts made by government to incite cooperation, however, the businesses themselves have displayed a lack of willingness to such cooperation. Cooperation requires a series of complicated and interdependent processes and, thus, governmental support alone cannot guarantee the necessary willingness to cooperate among small businesses. This research empirically analyzed how cooperative and creative leaderships influence the willingness to cooperate among corporate members. We also empirically studied how relationships among corporate members vary in accordance with their absorptive capacity.

  • Genetic diversity is one of fundamental parameters for rice cultivar improvement. Rice mutants are also a new source for rice breeding innovation. In this study, ninety-three SSR markers were applied to evaluate the genetic variation among nineteen rice mutant lines. The results showed that a total of 169 alleles from 56 polymorphism markers was recorded with an average of 3.02 alleles per locus. The values of polymorphism information content (PIC) varied from 0.09 to 0.79. The maximum number of alleles was 7, whereas the minimum number of alleles was 2. The heterozygosity values ranged from 0.10 to 0.81. Four clusters were generated using the unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean (UPGMA) clustering. Fourteen phenotype characteristics were also evaluated. The correlation coefficient values among these phenotye characteristics were obtained in this study. Genetic diversity information of rice mutant lines can support rice breeders in releasing new rice varieties with elite characterisitics.
