열유도 상분리로 제조한 플라워 형태 단면을 갖는 PVDF 분리막의 친수성 코팅 및 특성평가 (Hydrophilic Coating and Characterization of PVDF Membrane with Flower Type Cross-section made from Thermally Induced Phase Separation)

  • 본 연구에서는 열유도상분리법(thermally induced phase separation)을 사용하여 제조한 플라워 형태의 단면을 갖는 PVDF [poly(vinylidene fluoride)] 중공사 분리막에 대한 친수화 코팅과 그에 따른 특성평가에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 연구에 사용한 중공사 분리막은 (주)퓨어엔비텍에서 제조한 PVDF 소재의 분리막이었으며, 친수화 코팅 실험은 PEBAX 1657, 2533, 3533의 공중합체 고분자를 사용하여 농도가 다른 용액을 제조 후 딥 코팅 방법을 이용하여 실시하였다. 친수화 코팅이 된 중공사 분리막은 친수화 정도를 파악하기 위하여 SEM 촬영 및 접촉각 측정을 실시하였다. SEM 촬영 결과 코팅의 농도가 증가하고 코팅횟수가 증가할수록 코팅층의 두께가 두꺼워짐을 확인하였고, 접촉각 측정의 경우 코팅의 농도가 증가하고 코팅횟수가 증가할수록 접촉각이 낮아짐을 확인하였다. 기체 투과 실험 결과 코팅농도가 증가하고 코팅횟수가 증가할수록 산소 기체투과량이 감소하였으며 친수성이 높은 PEBAX 1657로 코팅한 중공사의 기체투과량이 PEBAX 2533과 3533으로 코팅된 중공사보다 낮은 기체투과량을 가짐을 확인하였다.

기지재의 가교밀도에 따른 유리섬유 복합재료의 염수노화 후 계면 및 기계적 물성 (Interfacial and Mechanical Properties of Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composites with Different Crosslinking Density after Saline Water Aging)

  • 복합재료 기지재의 화학적 조성을 다르게 했을 때 염수처리 후 복합재료의 상태 및 물성을 파악하였다. 기지재는 2가지 종류의 에폭시 기지재와 3가지 종류의 경화제(아민계, 산 무수물계, 그리고 아마이드계) 이용하여 기지재의 유연성을 조절하였다. 각 복합재료에 염수 가속화 실험을 위해 염화나트륨 6 wt% 조건에 $60^{\circ}C$ 가하여 0, 15, 30일 처리하였다. 처리 후에 복합재료의 단면적을 관찰하였고, 기계 및 계면 평가를 실시하였다. 아민계를 이용한 복합재료의 가교밀도, 기계 및 계면 물성이 가장 좋은데 반해, 수분흡수율은 가장 작은 것을 확인하였다. 이는 물분자가 유리섬유와 다른 가교밀도의 에폭시 기지재간의 계면으로 침투가 어렵기 때문이다. 이는 복합재료가 염수에 잘 견딜 수 있는 요인으로 작용할 수 있다.

산 무수물계 및 아민계 경화제를 이용한 열경화성 에폭시 섬유 제조 및 물성 (Manufacturing and Mechanical Properties of Epoxy Fibers Spinning using Anhydride and Amine Hardeners)

  • 흔히 사용되는 고분자는 다양한 형태로 제조되고 있다. 더 나아가, 나일론, 아라미드와 같은 연속적인 고분자 섬유가 최근에 제조되고 있다. 이번 실험에서 에폭시를 이용하여 고분자 섬유를 제조하였다. 비스페놀-A 타입의 에폭시가 사용되었고, 아민계 및 산 무수물계 경화제가 사용되었다. 에폭시 형상을 유지하기 위해 단계적 승온방식을 이용하여 에폭시 섬유를 경화했다. 계면접착력을 확인하기 위하여 두 섬유에 대한 상대적인 표면에너지를 수정된 정적 접촉각 방식으로 확인하였다. 인장실험을 통하여 기계적인 실험을 실시하였다. 인장실험 후에 파단형태가 경화제에 따라 달라지는 것을 확인하였다. 아민계 경화제를 사용한 에폭시 섬유의 경우 인장강도가 183 MPa로 70 MPa인 산 무수물계 경화제를 사용한 에폭시를 사용한 에폭시 섬유보다 더 좋은 것을 확인하였다.

Periodontal inflamed surface area as a novel numerical variable describing periodontal conditions

  • Purpose: Chronic periodontitis is an inflammatory disease induced by pathogenic bacterial accumulation. A novel index, the periodontal inflamed surface area (PISA), represents the sum of the periodontal pocket depth of bleeding on probing (BOP)-positive sites. It is advantageous for data processing and analysis because it can be treated as a continuous variable to quantify periodontal inflammation. In the present study, we evaluated correlations between PISA and periodontal classifications, and examined PISA as an index integrating the discrete conventional periodontal indexes. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional subgroup analysis of data from a prospective cohort study investigating the association between chronic periodontitis and the clinical features of ankylosing spondylitis. Data from 84 patients without systemic diseases (the control group in the previous study) were analyzed in the present study. Results: PISA values were positively correlated with conventional periodontal classifications (Spearman correlation coefficient=0.52; P<0.01) and with periodontal indexes, such as BOP and the plaque index (PI) (r=0.94; P<0.01 and r=0.60; P<0.01, respectively; Pearson correlation test). Porphyromonas gingivalis expression and the presence of serum P. gingivalis antibodies were significant factors affecting PISA values in a simple linear regression analysis, together with periodontal classification, PI, bleeding index, and smoking, but not in the multivariate analysis. In the multivariate linear regression analysis, PISA values were positively correlated with the quantity of current smoking, PI, and severity of periodontal disease. Conclusions: PISA integrates multiple periodontal indexes, such as probing pocket depth, BOP, and PI into a numerical variable. PISA is advantageous for quantifying periodontal inflammation and plaque accumulation.

  • In this paper, we study delayed high-order Cohen-Grossberg neural networks with reaction-diffusion terms and Neumann boundary conditions. By using inequality techniques and constructing Lyapunov functional method, some sufficient conditions are given to ensure the existence and convergence of the periodic oscillatory solution. Finally, an example is given to verify the theoretical analysis.

Performance of the adaptive LMAT algorithm for various noise densities in a system identification mode

  • Convergence properties of the stochastic gradient adaptive algorithm based on the least mean absolute third (LMAT) error criterion is presented.In particular, the performnce of the algorithmis examined and compared with least mena square (LMS) algorithm for several different probability densities of the measurement noisein a system identification mode. It is observedthat the LMAT algorithm outperforms the LMS algorithm for most of the noise probability densities, except for the case of the exponentially distributed noise.

  • Currently, the use of carbon steel in a high temperature environment, such atomic reactor, increases. Test piece was heated in electric furnace and the prescribed temperature was controlled within ${\pm}1^{\circ}C$. Debris that falls apart from cracked section due to friction is accumulated inside. Then, as it causes fretting corrosion (formation of oxide layer), it contributes to crack closure.

Cone Type 밸브 내부유동 수치해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Numerical Analysis of Internal Flow in a Cone Type Valve)

  • These days, many different types of valves are developed in the industrial area according to their use purpose. Multiple kinds of valves are installed to control a flow and pressure of the pipe conveying fluid. Valves serve as critical roles in land plants such as power plants. The performance of equipment varies depending on valve characteristics. In this study, the internal flow analysis on Cone-type valve is conducted to analyze flow field and secure a value of the flow coefficient Cv. According to the internal flow analysis, when the flow distribution of the middle cross-section of valve was open 100%, flow field was relatively and smoothly taken out. If it was open 50%, flow recirculation region increased and a little complex flow field occurred. Unlike ball valve or butterfly valve, this valve had flow recirculation in its outlet depending on a valve opening amount. Therefore, it was found that there was no flow recirculation in the outlet of Cone-type valve.

STL 포맷의 단면정보를 이용한 형상분할에 관한 연구 (A Study on Feature Division using Sliced Information of STL Format)

  • Stereolithography is the best known as rapid prototyping system. It uses the STL format data which is generated from CAD system. In this study, One of the main function of this developed CAM system deals with shape modification which divide a shape into two parts or more. The cross section of a STL part by a z-level is composed with nested or single polygonal closed loop. In order to make RP product, closed loops must fill with triangular facets from SSET and recover sliced triangular facets which is located normal direction to the cross sectional plane. The system is development by using Visuall C++ compiler in the environment of pentium PC. Operating system is Windows NT workstaion from Micro-Soft.
