  • The purposes of this study are to analyze how effects of parental attitudes, Sense of Community on adolescents school adjustment and verified was the mediating effect of Sense of Community between parenting attitudes and adolescents school adjustment. For data analysis, we have use the first year data for the 1st year middle schol students from 'the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey, conducted in 2010' by the National Youth Policy Institute. The study shows that parenting attitudes and Sense of Community have a significant effect on adolescents school adjustment. And, the Sense of Community have a significant partial mediating effect among on parental attitudes and school adjustment. Thus, efforts to foster individual's Sense of Community and develop desirable parenting attitudes should be made to enhance the level of school adjustment.

  • This convergence study was combined research on identifying the effect of health behavior and awareness of Korean wave (Hallyu) on academic adjustment of foreign students living in Korea, and providing support for future foreign students to easily adjust to Korean culture. The subjects for this study are foreign students attending G University and were studied from April 2nd to 30th,2018. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS statistical program. According to the multiple regression analysis which was conducted to analyze the effect of health behavior and awareness of Korean wave on academic adjustment of foreign students, the older and the longer the stay, the poorer the academic adjustment; on the other hand, the higher the frequency of exercise and awareness of Korean wave, the better the academic adjustment. Further, it is necessary to address plans and measures to develop academic adjustment of foreign students by providing health care programs and Korean wave culture programs on sustainable health education and sports.

  • In this paper, we consider the adjustment of convergence on Color Display Tube (CDT). Convergence is a measure of how well the red, green and blue beams are physically aligned with each other to strike the same area on the screen. When misconvergence (convergence error) occurs, one way of compensating it is to attach several ferrite sheets on the inner part of Deflection Yoke (DY). We suggest an optimization model of misconvergence compensation process and report test results for 81 DY samples. As a result, more than 90% of the samples could be made to satisfy the required convergence criteria.

  • This study was conducted to identify the factors affecting nursing students' adjustment to college life. 364 students from six different nursing colleges were recruited into the study. The data were collected using questionnaires about bullying, peer support, ego-resilience and adjustment to college life and were analyzed using IBM SPSS 19.0 program. Data were collected from March 3rd, 2014 to December 12th, 2015. The results indicated that bullying(r=-.24, p<.001) had a significant negative association with nursing college adaptation. And adjustment to college life was positively correlated with peer support(r=.38, p<.001) and ego-resilience(r=.69, p<.001). The significant predictors of adjustment to college life were ego-resilience (F=334.33, p<.001), peer support(F=60.86, p<.001) and bullying(F=22.03, p<.001), explaining 47% of the variance. Based on the study results, we suggest that it is necessary to develop and apply the educational strategy to improve the peer support and ego-resilience for the adjustment to college life.

  • This study investigated factors affected to adjustment of college life character, interpersonal personal relationships of total 220 health-related college in G-city. This study was conducted by a self-report type survey between August 1 and December 30 in 2017, according to the findings, character level is aver. 3.49(1-5 score), interpersonal relationship aver. 3.40(1-5)score, adjustment to college life aver. 3.33(1-5)score were showed medium level, The relation between character, interpersonal relationship(r=.62, p<.001), adjustment to college life, character(r=.62, p<.001), adjustment of college life, interpersonal relations(r=.80, p<.001), Major satisfaction and adjustment of college life(r=-.32, p<.001) showed a significantly correlation of medium level. With improved personal relationships and higher behavior factor of level of character college adjustment to college life of these factors is 65%(F=102.97). The results reveals to develop program interpersonal relationship and character of college students in oder to improve adjustment process to college life.

  • The purposes of this study were to analyze how effects of parental monitoring, parental affection, inconsistency in parenting attitudes on adolescents' school adjustment and intervention to help adolescents school adjustment. Korea Youth Policy Institute to achieve the research objectives, 'Korea Child Youth Panel Survey'(KCYPS 2010) using data from the First year 1 data were analyzed by Descriptive Statistic, t-Testing, ANOVA and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results of the study are as follows. parenting attitudes were an independent variable having a partially significant effect on middle school students' school adjustment. As a results, The level of parental monitoring and affection are high, the level of middle school students' school adjustment gets higher. On the contrary, the level of parents' inconsistency are high, the level of middle school students' school adjustment gets lower. Therefore, it is necessary to research various options to develop promoting positive parenting attitude in order to increase the level of the middle school student's school adjustment

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that affect stress, emotional regulation, and adjustment to college life of health college students. The survey was conducted from June 21 to 30, 2021 for 190 health students in G and J area. The data were analyzed by frequency analysis, reliability analysis, simple correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that positive perception had positive correlation with negative perception(r=-.286,p<.01), emotional regulation (r=.296,p<.01), and university life adjustment(r=.520,p<.01). Negative perception was correlated with emotional regulation(r=-.619,p<.01), university life adjustment (r=-.428,p<.01) and negative(-). Emotional regulation had a positive correlation with university life adjustment(r=.341,p<.01). Positive perception, negative perception, and emotional regulation, which are sub-factors of perceived stress, were the factors affecting the adjustment to university life, and the explanatory power was 84%. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a program that can improve the adjustment of college students in health.

  • This study is a descriptive survey on the studying science subjects before entrance to nursing department, the scores of basic nursing sciences and the academic adjustment. The data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0. There was a significant difference between studying certain science subjects before entrance and the scores of basic nursing sciences, studying Biology I, Chemistry I, Physics I and Earth science I increased mean score of basic nursing sciences(p<.05), there were positive correlations among them. And there was no correlation between studying science subjects before entrance and academic adjustment except Physics I, but, there was a positive correlation between score of basic nursing sciences and academic adjustment(r=0.296, p<.001). Also, studying science subjects before entrance affected partially to the scores of basic nursing sciences, and the scores of basic nursing sciences affected academic adjustment(p=.001). This result can be used in pre-school program for the freshmen after repeated study.

  • This study tries to examine the effect of parents' neglect on career identity, and prove the meditating effect of experience satisfaction and school adjustment between the two variables in the times of convergence. For the study, the data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey was analyzed by utilizing the path analysis, and the number of subjects was 391 adolescents. The results are as follows: First, parents' neglect influenced negatively career identity. Second, experience satisfaction and school adjustment had a positive effect on experience satisfaction. Third, parents' neglect directly influenced career identity and its' effect was indirectly mediated by the subjects's experience satisfaction and school adjustment. Therefore, the result of the study can be utilized for theoretical implication and foundation for developing programs to increase career identity.

  • In a dual lens stereoscopic camera, a convergence point determines the stereopsis effects of a video. When a user zooms an object, a convergence point is fixed since it is not coupled with a zoom function. Due to the fixed convergence point, it is possible for a zoom to cause the excessive binocular disparity resulting in visual discomfort. In this paper, to solve this problem, we build the relational model including all phenomena possible to arise and propose the adjustment methods of a convergence point by the positions of a focus, an object and a convergence point. We also evaluate the experiments measuring a binocular disparity and the subjective test to investigate the visual comfort. The results show that one of the proposed methods produced more comfortable 3D images to viewers than the others.
