CAM(Controller Area Network)을 이용한 아라고 원판 시스템 제어 (Control of Arago's Disk System using CAN (Controller Area Network))

  • This thesis is concerned with the control of Arago's disk system using CAN(Controller Area Network). CAN protocol is used widely for the real time control in networked control systems(NCS). A networked control system using CAN is constructed to perform position control of Arago's disk. The mathematical model, of overall system is derived to design an appropriate controller analytical1y. Various operating points of the Arago's disk system in the real time control are chosen as stable region ($45^{\circ}$), marginal1y stable region($90^{\circ}$) and unstable region($120^{\circ}$), and the experiment for the position control of arago's disk system is done for each operating point. The performance of the suggested NCS is verified by experiments. It is shown that the NCS using CAN has stability and excel1ency in real time control.

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차의 위치 및 자세 추정에 사용되는 칼만 필터 가속기를 내장한 차량용 ECU(electronic control unit)를 설계하고 구현하였다. 프로세서 코어는 RISC-V를 사용하였으며 칼만 필터의 행렬 연산을 수행하는 가속기, 차량 내 통신에 사용되는 CAN(controller area network) 제어기, 센서 연결에 사용되는 LIN(local interconnect network) 제어기를 내장하였다. 칼만 필터 연산은 시간 업데이트와 측정 업데이트의 두 단계로 나뉘며 시간 업데이트 단계에서는 현재 상태변수와 오차 공분산을 예측하고 측정 업데이트 단계에서는 입력값을 받아 칼만 이득을 계산하여 값을 보정한다. 보통 소프트웨어에서는 곱셈에 부동소숫점 연산을 사용하지만 본 논문에서는 하드웨어 면적을 줄이기 위해 정밀도 분석을 고려한 고정소숫점 곱셈기를 사용하였다. 설계된 ECU는 Verilog HDL을 이용하여 검증하였으며 28nm 실리콘 공정으로 구현하였다. 28nm 실리콘 공정으로 구현하였을 때 동작 주파수는 100MHz, 면적은 0.37mm2, 게이트 수는 76만 게이트였다.

  • The most common communication interface for automotive electronic control devices is CAN (Controller Area Network). Sine CAN was first adopted to Daimler vehicles in 1991, all of automobile manufacturers use the CAN communication for in-vehicle networks. However, as the number of electronic control devices connected to the CAN network rapidly increases, the CAN protocol reaches the limit of technology. To overcome this limitation, Bosch introduced the new communication protocol, that is CAN-FD (Flexible Data-rate). In this paper, we analyze the characteristics and limitations of CAN-FD communication according to the topology under the in-vehicle wiring harness environment designed based on the existing classic CAN communication.

내부 궤환 제어 구조를 갖는 시스템의 네트워크형 분산 제어 (Network Type Distributed Control of a System with Inner Loop Control Structure)

  • In this paper, an idea of a network type distributed control of a system with inner loop control structure will be considered. Generally, in case of a control system with inner loop control structure, it is not easy to implement circuits and programming. Using network type distributed control structure, it will show how it is better than before. CAN(Controller Area Network) protocol which has been known that it has a high reliability on the signal in the various network protocols is used. Also, Arago's Disk System which has a inner loop control stucture is made to validate effectiveness of the proposed method.

기존제어기와 신경회로망의 혼합제어기법을 이용한 미사일 적응 제어기 설계 (Adaptive Control Design for Missile using Neural Networks Augmentation of Existing Controller)

  • This paper presents the design of a neural network based adaptive control for missile is presented. The application model is Exocet MM40, which is derived from missile DATCOM database. Acceleration of missile by tail Fin control cannot be controllable by DMI (Dynamic Model Inversion) directly because it is non-minimum phase system. So, the inner loop consists of DMI and NN (Neural Network) and the outer loop consists of PI controller. In order to satisfy the performances only with PI controller, it is necessary to do some additional process such as gain tuning and scheduling. In this paper, all flight area would be covered by just one PI gains without tuning and scheduling by applying mixture control technique of conventional controller and NN to the outer loop. Also, the simulation model is designed by considering non-minimum phase system and compared the performances to distinguish the validity of control law with conventional PI controller.

  • The Controller Area Network (CAN) is being widely used for real-time control application and small-scale distributed computer controller systems. When the stuff bits are generated by bit-stuffing mechanism in the CAN network, it causes jitter including variations in response time and delay. In order to eliminate this jitter, stuff bit must be controlled to minimize the response time and reduce the variation of data transmission time. At first, this paper shows that conventional CAN protocol causes the transmission time delay. Secondly, this paper proposes the method to reduce the stuff bits by restriction of available identifier. Finally, data manipulation method can be reduced the number of stuff-bits in the data field. The proposed restriction method of ID and manipulating data field are pretty useful to the real-time control strategy with respect to performance. These procedures are implemented in local controllers of the ISHURO (Inha Semyung Humanoid Robot).

  • In this paper, an interface unit is designed to efficiently monitor transmission data in Controller Area Network(CAN)-based control systems. The CAN uses a serial multi master communication protocol that efficiently supports distributed real-time control with a very high level of data integrity, and communication speeds of up to 1Mbps. The interface unit is composed of a DSP controller which collects data on the CAN bus and transfers data to a personal computer via serial communication to save and display of interesting signals. The experimental system consists of three DSP controllers which represent electronic control units of a vehicle, an interface unit for analysing the data on the bus, and a graphic monitoring program coded on the Windows platform. The validity and the effectiveness of the proposed simple type of CAN interface unit are shown through the experimental results.

  • Nopersistent CSMA제어절차에 의하여 지역망 콘트롤러를 제작하였으며 버퍼 레지스터를 사용하여 마이크로 컴퓨터와 인터페이스 시켰다. 네트워크는 로우드의 변화에 대한 버스의 이용률을 최적화시키기 위하여 패킷 재송신 시간을 $2^n$의 함수로 조정하였다. 메시지는 패킷으로 만들어져 128바이트씩 버스에 전송되며 물리층에서 최대 데이터 전송 속도는 19,200bps를 얻었다.

  • In this paper, the design of the network system using the CAN and the analysis of effects of time delay in the system are presented. A conventional implementation technique induces many problems because of the amount and complexity of wiring and maintenance problems. The network system reduces these problems, but it cause another problem; time delay. Time delay in a sampling time does not have much effects on the system, but time delay over the sampling time changes the control frequency and ended up makes the system unstable. It is verified that time delay between each parts has different effects on the entire system. The results from this paper will be a base for studying algorithms to reduce effects of time delay in the system using the CAN.
