포화인덕터를 이용한 일정주파수제어 포워드 공진형 컨버터 (A constant frequency controlled forward AVS-MRC using a saturable inductor)

  • This paper proposes a constant frequency controlled forward zero voltage switching multi resonant converter (ZVS-MRC) which operates with a fixed duty ratio. The proposed converter is obtained from a conventional forward ZVS-MRC by placing a saturable core in parallel with the secondary side of the transformer. Experimental results are presented for a proposed converter which operates at 1.5MHz switching frequency with an output power of 50W (5V/10A). The merits of the proposed converter include ; 1) reduced voltage stress to the main switch compared with the conventional counterpart, 2) ease on designing the magnetic components including EMI and output filter, and 3) simple control scheme.

  • Fully digital controlled 20-bit magnet power supplies have been developed and successfully tested for closed orbit correction of PLS(Pohang Light Source). The new digital power supply has used fiber optics for 25kHz switching of IGBT drivers, and implemented DSP, ADC, Interlock, DCCT cards in a compact 3U-sized 19" chassis. Input/Output low-pass filters suppress harmonics of 60Hz line frequency and switching frequency noise effectively. Overall performance of the power supplies have been demonstrated as +/- 2ppm short-term stability(<1 min), and +/- 10ppm long-term stability(<36 hours). All the existing 12-bit 70 power supplies for vertical correction magnets will be replaced with new digital power supplies during 2005 summer shutdown period. In this paper, we will describe the hardware structure and control method of the digital power supply and the experimental results will be shown.

  • A parallel-resonant converter with zero-voltage-switching, pulse-width-modulation(ZVS-PWM) control is proposed. Similar to the previously proposed series-resonant counterpart, it has a simple structure and can be controlled at a constant switching frequency using an active-clamp technique. The nearly constant current output characteristic of the parallel-resonant converter lends itself beneficially to precisely controlled constant current power supply applications. An experimental breadboard featured an accuracy of $\pm$1% for an output current of 2A, with an efficiency of 75%.

  • 본 논문에서는 반사대역 내부에 분리된 다수의 통과대역을 갖는 영역이 분리된 첩 광섬유 격자를 이용하여 각 채널을 독립적으로 제어할 수 있는 광 툭과 필터를 제안하였다. 영역이 분리된 첩 광섬유 격자는 원하는 영역을 설정할 수 있는 슬릿을 사용하여 제작되었다. 분리된 대역은 압전소자에 광섬유 신장기를 부착하여 조절하였고, 조절된 반사 대역은 채널을 독립적으로 선택하는데 사용되었다. 광대역 광원과 파장가변 레이저를 사용하여 투과 스펙트럼의 파장이동에 따른 입력 채널의 선택을 보였다.

Comparison of Efficiency for Different Switching Tables in Six-Phase Induction Motor DTC Drive

  • In this paper, different switching tables proposed for the Direct Torque Controlled (DTC) of a six-phase induction machine are simulated and implemented. A six-phase induction motor has 64 space voltage vectors which result in increased complexity in the selecting of inverters switching. The unsuitable selection of a switching table leads to large harmonics especially at low speed and it also reduces drive efficiency. A six-phase induction machine has large zero sequence harmonic currents of the order $6{\kappa}{\pm}1$. These harmonic currents are varied in various techniques. Decreasing this loss is essential in a six-phase induction machine. The main purpose of this paper is to improve the ST-DTC of six-phase induction machines to reduce the voltage and current harmonics and the torque pulsation. Selecting a suitable method for minimizing these harmonics is very important.

  • This paper presents a new zero current switching (ZCS) inverter for grid-connected photovoltaic system. The proposed circuit provides zero current switching condition for all the switches, which reduces switching losses significantly. It is controlled to extract maximum power from the solar array and to provide sinusoidal current into the mains. Analysis, small signal modeling and design procedure are presented. The validity of the proposed system is verified by experimental results from the 1.2kW prototype inverter operating at 40kHz.

  • This paper presents a novel topological prototype of voltage source series quasi-resonant zero current soft-switching pulse frequency modulated dc-dc power converter circuit using IGBTs which incorporates a high-frequency flyback transformer link. Its steady-state operating principle is described on the basis of simulation analysis, along with the open loop controlled power regulation characteristics of the multi-functional coupled inductors linked dc-dc power converter operating under a principle of zero current soft switching commutation.

  • 본 논문은 휴대용 기기를 위한 고효율의 저전압용 DC/DC 컨버터의 고집적회로에 관한 연구이다. 컨버터의 모든 능동 소자들은 0.65$\mu\textrm{m}$표준 CMOS 공정을 사용하여 단일 칩으로 구현하였다 수종 소자들의 크기를 줄이기 위해서 1MHz의 주파수에서 동작하며 높은 주파수에서 의스위칭 손실을 최소화하기 위하여 ZVS 방식으로 설계하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 출력 전압이 2V일때 1W의 출력을 가지며 full 부하에서 95%의 효율을 보였다.

  • A new suboptimal PWM is proposed, intended particularly for the reduction of acoustic noise and harmonics of the output current in the inverter-fed induction motor drive system. This strategy is based of the Regular PWM and applied optimal techniqe. And it could solve a problem that computation time is very much when switching strategy is determined at the Optimal PWM. In case that the number of switching increases infinitely, this strategy could determine the switching pattern, and can realize Online, Real time of microprocessor. Also, this strategy is applied to 1(Hp), three phase induction motor, and compared with the other PWMs. From the results, the validity of this strategy could be verified.

  • This paper proposes a high efficiency power conversion system for battery-ultracapacitor hybrid energy storages. The proposed system has only one bidirectional dc-dc converter for hybrid power source with batteries and ultracapacitors. The hybrid power source has bidirectional switching circuits for selecting one energy storage device. Bidirectional power flow between the energy storage device and high voltage capacitor can be controlled by one bidirectional converter. An asymmetrical switching method is applied to the bidirectional converter for high power efficiency. Switching power losses are reduced by zero-voltage switching of power switches. System operation and design considerations are presented. The experimental results are provided to verify the performance of the proposed system.
