  • A company needs to maintain its machines always workable in order to keep the manufacturing time minimal. If any troubles un, they should be fixed as soon as possible. But, the complexity of modem machines make the trouble shooting difficult. So, it is important that the monitoring system for automated production system to fix every trobule easily. In this paper new, inverter control system for TG feedback a formula Control was developed. The motor control system with TG feedback controller as an effect of load disturbance, it is very difficult to guarantee the robustness of Control System. The function of the implementation are TG feedback type, and temperature scheme. The Inverter Control System approach is based on master-slave control concept. To show validity of the developed new inverter control system severial experiments are illustrated.

Compact AUV platform system designed for the experiment of underwater multi-agent development

  • The underwater multi-agent technology has many potential for the various activities related to ocean development/conservation in the near future. For example, in such fields as water pollution investigation, aquaculture control, or coral reef research, we feel a growing need for a system that realizes underwater continuous monitoring in the wide rang e. In this case, the target monitoring area will be sliced planar hierarchically toward the depth as monitoring layers, and many AUVs arranged on each layer track the given trajectory and gather various environmental information continuously, with communicating each other in the layer or with other layers. To realize those systems we need to develop AUV multi-agent technologies. So we are now building basic systems for basin experiment for the development of AUV multi-agent behavior. We must experience many situations and problems to be solved for the development of its elemental technologies by using real systems as well as our computer simulations. In this paper we introduce our concept of the experiment in the near future and the hardware/software design of our two types of handy AUVs and ultrasound ranging/communication system for that experiment. One AUV is designed using a 17inches-diameter glass sphere with DOS/V and RT-Linux based subsystems, which is intended to use not only in the basin but also in the calm real sea. The other AUV is designed for the basin experiment using a 7inches-diameter acrylic sphere with low-cost embedded system with SH-2 based subsystems. The basin experiment to verify the basic AUV facilities and ultrasound ranging for position detection was carried out.

  • In this paper, an integrated control system is proposed for automatic control and remote monitoring of pipeline type UV sterilizer. The proposed system can control the cleaning wiper in the sterilizer with various cleaning motions, and periodically check the contamination level of the UV lamps with the UV power sensors. Therefore, sterilizer repair and maintenance can be more effectively done. In addition, the control system based on the open-source processor can communicate with external smart devices via Bluetooth, and thus wirelessly exchange control commands and sensor data. Furthermore, the system is able to flexibly cope with changes of cleaning motions and sensors since its firmware can be wirelessly upgraded by using the smart device. Consequently, the proposed system is suitable to construct a smart sewage treatment system in small towns.

  • The Korea Augmentation Satellite System (KASS) is the first satellite navigation enhancement system in Korea developed in compliance with international standards. Technologies accumulated during the development process should be spread to industries such as academia and serve as the basis for developing the domestic satellite navigation field. This paper introduces the development process from design to implementation, testing, and verification of KASS control systems (KCS). First, development standards, milestones, requirements, and interface standards are presented as KCS development methods, and major functional design, physical design, and hardware/software implementation are described based on the allocated requirements. Subsequently, the verification environment, procedures, and results of the development product are covered and the developed operational and maintenance procedures are described. In addition, based on the experience gained through the development, suggestions were made for beneficial technology development and organization when promoting satellite navigation projects in the future. Since this work has important historical value for the development of domestic satellite navigation, it is expected that the development results will be shared with academia and industry in the future and be used as basic data for similar development.

  • In recent years, the many electric saving methods are studied because of difficulty of meeting the demand. The electric energy management such as monitoring of branch power consumption, demand control, metering, power quality monitoring, electric safety monitoring can make energy saving. The purpose of this paper is to develop a system which can provide the integrated management of various functions required for energy management by consumers. In this system all functions which were embodied into each devices are integrated into intelligent meter. The developed systems are tested and implemented by installing at consumer electric distribution panel.

  • Strip top mark is one of the major problem areas in hot strip coiling operation. The key for good coiling is having a precise detection instrument of strip head end and an understanding of QOC(quick open control) control algorithm and mechanism. Therefore, this study aims at developing QOC monitoring system that is useful for avoiding strip top mark at coiling process. In this study, strip movement between mandrel and unit roll(wrapper roll) was thoroughly studied using high speed camera. The monitoring system was developed to calculate QOC open time and to estimate optimal open time values for good coiling operation. Its performance has been proven by extensive field tests on downcoiler of #2 Hot Strip Mill Line in Pohang Works.

Development of a Multiple SMPS System Controlling Variable Load Based on Wireless Network

  • This paper proposes a multiple switch mode power supply (SMPS) system based on the wireless network which controls variable load. The system enables power supply of up to 600W using 200W SMPS as a unit module and provides a controlling function of output power based on variable load and a monitoring function based on wireless network. The controlling function for output power measures the variation of output power and facilitates efficient power supply by controlling output power based on the measured variation value. The monitoring function guarantees a stable power supply by observing the multiple SMPS system in real time via wireless network. The performance of the proposed system was examined by various experiments. In addition, it was verified through standardized test of Korea Testing Certification. The results were given and discussed.

  • In a high speed spindle system, it is very important to monitor the operation of the spindle to prevent catastrophic damage to the system. Widely used sensors for monitoring are eddy-current and capacitive types. These sensors provide high accuracy of monitoring, but their steep prices lead to expensive high speed spindle systems. The main goal of our research is to develop technology for producing high speed spindle system utilizing magnetic bearings. As active magnetic bearings require position sensors for feedback control, a noncontact position sensor is being developed as a part of this main goal. Once developed, it will contribute to affordable high speed spindle system. This paper describes the selection process of the sensor types and the design of the driving circuit. We also report the experimental results that characterize the static and dynamic performances of the inductive sensor.

  • The purpose for installation of offshore weather station is a measurement of wind resources and so on. If weather station is operated, it will be possible to analysis for wind resource and arrangement of wind farm by using measured data. In this paper, we carried out the development of offshore wind resource measurement system for measuring offshore wind resource. Also, In order to monitor for real-time wind data with 1 Hz, we installed the wireless transmission system. All wind characteristic data are sent to the server PC through the this system is connected outport of DataLogger. Transmitted wind data were used in order to look at in the Web-page and tablet PC on a real time basis in a graph. In this paper, we will introduce about the wind resource measurement and remote monitoring system that is the result of study.
