The objective of this paper is to show further results concerning the problem of extending total preorders from a subset of a topological space to the entire space using the approach introduced by Gyoseob Yi.

In this paper, we derive a characterization of orthonormal balanced multiwavelets of order p in terms of the continuous moments of the multiscaling function $\phi$. As a result, the continuous moments satisfy the discrete polynomial preserving properties of order p (or degree p - 1) for orthonormal balanced multiwavelets. We derive polynomial reproduction formula of degree p - 1 in terms of continuous moments for orthonormal balanced multiwavelets of order p. Balancing of order p implies that the series of scaling functions with the discrete-time monomials as expansion coefficients is a polynomial of degree p - 1. We derive an algorithm for computing the polynomial of degree p - 1.

University libraries have been attempting to reorganize their space through new building construction and remodeling to cope with the rapid changes in information and communication technologies and university environment. These changes seem to reflect the need for the shift of the university library functions toward the facilitator role of enabling continuous learning and research through space reorganization beyond the traditional supporter role of preserving and supplying library materials and providing learning space and services to university members. Despite all these changes of university library space functions, however, their assessment has been still limited to the library users' satisfaction and usage changes before and after library building renovation or new construction, calling for the need to develop proper measurement tools for evaluating the library functions as learning commons that reflect university vision and goals. Therefore, this study intends to analyze the trend of space reorganization practices in university libraries and the studies of evaluating its effect, in order to develop tools to evaluate the effectiveness of space reorganization and to provide basic data for future space reorganization and assessment strategies.

At the beginning of the 21st century with taking a serious view of the harmony between human and nature, and of keeping an ecological balance, China has tried to reduce the gap in economy between rural districts and the urban city, and to carry out the policies for establishing a harmonious socialism through full-scale cooperation and continuous developments. And in order to preserve their traditional culture and to keep the historical legitimacy of People's Republic of China against urgent economical changes since the reform and openness, China has stressed the importance of training patriotic attitude on their cultural heritages. Thus the Chinese museums started to recognize more ad more the importance of social education as well as their functions of preserving the cultural property and of exhibiting it. And with them they have turned their attentions to an Ecomuseum, a new type of a museum. The ecomuseum in China was first established at a remote place between mountains where the ethnic minority inhabited. This was because of the feeling of some crises on culture native to the minority, followed by the process of China's Western Region Development. And it was recognized that they should participate actively in creating the cultural demand of the minority and in establishing a harmonious society with improving economic condition. Therefore in order to activate the ecomuseum it is localized and sinicized little by little through strengthening the management of cultural heritages of the minority.
