Effect of Sr Substitution for RE on Microstructure and Tensile Properties in Mg-Al-RE Casting Alloys

  • 본 연구는 Mg-Al 합금에 첨가된 희토류 금속(rare earth metal, RE)과 스트론튬(Sr)이 상온 및 고온 기계적 특성에 미치는 영향을 비교하고, 그 결과를 미세조직의 변화와 연관지어 분석하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 4종의 Mg-6%Al-(3-X)%REX% Sr 합금(X = 0~3)을 마련하여 RE를 Sr으로 대체하면서 상온 및 고온 인장 특성, 크립 저항성을 평가하였다. RE가 Sr으로 대체됨에 따라, 층상구조의(${\alpha}$ + $Al_4Sr$)상이 ${\alpha}$ 덴드라이트 사이에 생성되면서 침상의 $Al_4RE$상이 점차 소멸하였으며 Mg-6%Al-3%Sr 합금에서는(${\alpha}$ + $Al_4Sr$과 블록형태의 Mg-Al-Sr상이 관찰되었다. Sr 함량이 증가할수록 항복강도와 크립저항성은 지속적으로 향상되는 경향을 나타내었다.

반연속주조된 대형 블룸에서 발생하는 거시편석 및 석출물 거동 (Behavior of Macrosegregation and Precipitation Developed in Semi-continuously Cast Large Bloom)

  • Few studies of large blooms over 700 mm thick among those used for the forging of raw materials have been reported. The cooling rate difference between the surface and the center of a large bloom is large, and the degradation of the mechanical properties is likely in cases involving excessively coarse precipitates resulted from the slow cooling rate of a large bloom after casting. Therefore, a schematic investigation of the growth behaviors of precipitates while varying their locations in blooms is necessary. The dissolution behaviors of precipitates were investigated by simulating a reheating process during which the bloom is heated to a high temperature. The segregation behavior of the as-cast large bloom was also investigated. Reheating specimens were obtained after an isothermal heat treatment at $1150^{\circ}C$ with various holding times to simulate the reheating process, with the samples undergoing a subsequent water quenching step. The precipitates were extracted using an electrolytic extractor and a particle size analysis was conducted with the aid of SEM, EDS, and TEM. In the present work, Al oxide, MnS and Nb carbide were mainly observed.

알루미늄 연속주조 용탕의 탈 가스 일체화 장치 개발 (Development of a monolithic apparatus for degasing aluminum continuous casting molten metal)

  • It is necessary for managing a perfect process for degasing aluminum molten metal according to the increase of a grade of aluminum and its alloy products. There are some methods that have been used to manage a degasing process in recent years, such as an injection method that uses aluminum molten metal powder and chemicals supplier and input method that supplies argon and nitrogen, or chlorine gas by using a gas blow-tube. However, these methods show some problems, and it shows that it is a difficult process to handle. pollution due to the producing a lot of toxic gases like chlorine and fluoride gas. irregular effects, and lowering work efficiency due to the excessive processing time. The problems that are the most fatal are the producing a lot of sludge due to the reaction of aluminum molten metal with chemicals. loss of metals, and decreasing the life of refractory materials. In order to solve these problems. this paper develops a technology that is related to aluminum continuous casting molten metal and monolithic degasing apparatus. A degasing apparatus developed in this study improved the exist ing methods and prevented environmental pollution wi th smokeless. odor less, and harmlessness by using a new method that applies argon and nitrogen gas in which the methods used in the West and Japan are eliminated. The developed method can significantly reduce product faults that are caused by the production of gas and oxidation because it uses a preprocessed molten metal with chemicals. In addition. the amount of the produced sludge can also be reduced by 60-80% maximum compared with the existing methods. Then. it makes it possible to minimize the loss of metals. Moreover. the molten metal processing and settling time is also shortened by comparing it with the existing methods that are applied by using chemicals. In addition, it does much to improve the workers' health, safety and environment because there is no pollution. The improvement of productivity and prevent ion effects of disaster from the results of the development can be summarized as follows. It will contribute to the process rationalization because it does not have any unnecessary processes that the molten metal will be moved to an agitator by using a ladle and returned to process for degasing like the existing process due to the monolithic configuration. There are no floating impurities due to the oxidation caused by the contact with the air as same as the existing process. In addition. it can protect the blending of precipitation impurities. Because it has a monolithic configuration. it can avoid the use of additional energy to compensate the temperature decreasing about 60t that is caused by the moving of molten metal. It is not necessary to invest an extra facilities in order to discharge the gas generated from a degasing process by using an agitator. The working environment can be improved by the hospitable air in the factory because the molten metal is almost not exposed in the interior of the area.

ASMR 콘텐츠 지속적 사용 영향 요인 탐색: 신경증의 조절효과를 중심으로 (Exploring the Determinants of Continuous Usages of ASMR Content: Focusing on the Moderating Effects of Neuroticism)

  • 1인 방송 및 동영상 플랫폼들이 영상 소비를 위한 주요 창구로 자리잡은 상태에서 ASMR 콘텐츠가 새로운 소비의 트렌드로 자리잡고 있다. 이러한 가운데 본 연구는 ASMR 콘텐츠 이용 영향 요인들을 실증적으로 살펴보고자 하였다. 좀 더 구체적으로, 본 연구는 인구사회학적 요인들, 하위 콘텐츠 유형, 이용 동기, 신경증 및 주관적 규범을 영향 가능 요인들로 설정하고 이들의 ASMR 콘텐츠 이용에의 영향력을 실증적으로 규명해보았다. 신경증의 직접 효과 이외에 조절 효과 또한 검증하였다. 분석 결과 인구사회학적 요인들로 교육수준, 마찰 및 입소리 콘텐츠 유형, 이용 동기로서 집중, 수면장애해소, 즐거운쾌감 스트레스해소 및 주관적 규범이 ASMR 콘텐츠 이용에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 호기심 유행 및 성적 쾌감 동기는 이용에 부정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 신경증의 조절 효과도 발견되었다. 본 연구는 ASMR 콘텐츠 이용을 보다 정확히 이해하기 위해서는 신경증과 같은 이용자의 성격 특성들도 영향 가능 요인으로 고려할 필요성이 있음을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.

Al-Mg-Zn계 알루미늄 합금 연주 빌렛 균질화처리과정 중 용질원소 거동변화 (Distribution Behavior of Solute Element in Al-Mg-Zn Alloy Continuous Cast Billet During Homogenization Treatment)

  • 본 연구에서는 고강도 Al-Mg-Zn계 알루미늄 합금 연속주조 빌렛의 균질화처리 과정 중 미세조직 전개과정을 다양한 장비(OM, SEM, EDS, DSC)로 분석 및 고찰하였다. 우선, 연속주조된 알루미늄 합금 빌렛 내 입계 및 입내에는 AlMgZn, AlMgFe 및 AlMgZnSi상 등 많은 양이 불균일하게 존재하며, 이들 상은 균질화처리 과정 중 입계 및 기지로 용해된다. 합금설계 프로그램 및 동력학 방정식을 활용한 결정립 내 주요 합금원소인 Mg 및 Zn의 확산거동을 분석한 결과, JMatPro 내 균질화처리 모드에서 대상합금 내 Mg이 Zn 대비 기지 내로 빠르게 용해되나, 동력학 방정식의 경우에도 유사한 경향성이 나타난다. 확산속도에 대한 의미로 실제로 Zn 대비 상대적으로 Mg이 많은 양을 함유하고 있어 기지로 확산과 동시에 고용되었음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • ${Si_3}{N_4}$와 BN의 선택적 산화반응과 질소분위기 소결에 의하여 $Si_2N_2O$로 결합된$Si_3N_4-BN$복합재료를 개발하였으며, 이때 산화반응 온도와 CaO의 첨가가 $Si_2N_2O$의 생성에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. $Si_2N_2O$상이 도입된 $Si_3N_4-BN$복합재료는 내열충격성 및 용강에 대한 내침식성이 우수하여 연속제강새안의 부품인 break ring등의 소재로 사용될 수 있다.

미세 Si 입자를 고려한 Al-1%Si 본딩 와이어의 신선공정해석 (FE-simulation of Drawing Process for Al-1%Si Bonding Wire Considering Fine Si Particle)

  • Drawing process of Al-1%Si bonding wire considering fine Si particle is analyzed in this study using FE-simulation. Al-1%Si boding wire requires electric conductivity because Al-1%Si bonding wire is used for interconnection in semiconductor device. About 1% of Si is added to Al wire for dispersion-strengthening. Distribution and shape of fine Si particle have strongly influence on the wire drawing process. In this study, therefore, the finite-element model based on the observation of wire by continuous casting is used to analyze the effect of various parameters, such as the reduction in area, the semi-die angle, the aspect ratio, the inter-particle spacing and orientation angle of the fine Si particle on wire drawing processes. The effect of each parameter on the wire drawing process is investigated from the aspect of ductility and defects of wire. From the results of the analysis, it is possible to obtain the important basic data which can be guaranteed in the fracture prevention of Al-1 %Si wire.

PSC박스거더교 상부슬래브에서의 시간의존적 변형률 분포 (Distribution of Time-dependent Strains In the Top Slab of PSC Box Girder Bridge)

  • PSC(Prestressed Concrete) box girder bridges have been widely applied in Korea. A number of these bridges have been built by the segmental construction method in the longitudinal direction and(or) vertically along the cross-sectional depth with MSS(Moving Scaffolding System). An actual 2-span continuous PSC box girder bridge of Kyeongbu high speed railway was selected and instrumented with 96 vibrating wire embedded type strain gauges and 2 thermocouples. The long-term behavior of the bridge was monitored through two major points located at mid-span of the first span and at the internal support. Data collection started just after the casting of the first segment (U section). Concrete strain and temperature data were gathered regularly by a data logger (CR10) during 600 days under and after construction. According to this measurement, the parabolic longitudinal strain distribution in the top slab at mid-span is shown. And also, the same distribution at the interior support is shown. The compressive strains at the cantilever region are larger than at the web position and the internal part in the top slab. Strain difference largely happened during the early construction period.

  • The quenching of steels by water is one of the important problems in engineering for the applications of heat treatment or continuous casting process, but the fundamental researches by the theoretical approaches have not been satisfactorily improved yet. The very rapid cooling problems by the thermal conduction including the latent heat of phase transformation in steel and the transient boiling heat transfer of water on the surface of the steel covering from $850^{\circ}C$ to $20^{\circ}C$ are the key problems of heat treatment. The present quenching experiments are performed for the cylindrical specimens of carbon steel, S45C of diameters (12-30). Nonlinear transient heat conduction and transient boiling heat transfer problem of water on the surface of specimens is analyzed by the numerical method of inverse heat conduction problem. The conditions for the calculation are that the initial temperature of specimens is $820^{\circ}C$ and the cooling water in bath are $20^{\circ}C$,$40^{\circ}C$,$60^{\circ}C$,$80^{\circ}C$,$95^{\circ}C$ with no agitation.

철강 공정의 일정계획을 위한 혼합정수계획 모델 (Mixed-Integer programming model for scheduling of steelmaking processes)

  • This paper presents a short-term scheduling algorithm for the operation of steelmaking processes. The scope of the problem covers refining of the hot iron transferred form a blast furnace, ladle treatment, continuous casting, hot-rolling, and coiling for the final products that should satisfy the given demand. The processing time at each unit depends on how much the batch amount is treated, and te dedicated intermediate storage with finite capacity between the units is considered. Resource constraints and initial amount of each state are incorporated into the presented scheduling model for the algorithm of on-line scheduling. We propose amixed integer linear programming (MILP) model with two objectives for the scheduling. The first is to maximize the total profit while atisfying the due date constraint for each product. And the second is to minimize the total processing time, makespan, while satisfying the demand for each product. Especially, we observe the effect of penalizing the intermediate storage and the inventory level of the final product on the scheduling results.
