가정건강성 평가도구 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of Evaluation Scale for Health-Grade of Families)

  • This study was designed to develop the evaluation scale for health-grade of families. For this goal the related references and the programs of Healthy-Families-Center were analyzed. In the context with the goals and objects of programs in Healthy-Families-Center the index for the evaluation the health-grade of families was deducted. And the concrete items of health-grade of families in 3 parts(R: relation, M: management, E: environment) was discussed. In order to verify the validity and significance of the scale the survey for 200 samples was performed and the data from 191 samples was statistically analyzed. We suggested the application methods of this evaluation scale for health-grade of families. So the 8 types of families were came out: RME, RMe, RmE, rME, Rme, rMe, rmE, rme. Using this type of families the consulting and counselling for the enhancement of health-grade can be developed. We reached the conclusion that this evaluation scale has to be continuously developed and eleborated because the health-grade of families is one of the most important index for the effect of programs of Healthy Families Center.

Impacts of Community Commitment on Brand Equity Creation in Company-Initiated Online Brand Communities

  • With the emergence of online communities, the role of online communities in establishing brand equity has been greatly emphasized. In order to enhance our understanding of commitment in online brand communities, the present study attempts to investigate how three dimensions of community commitment (continuance, affective, and normative commitment) influence each component of brand equity (brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality, and brand loyalty) in the context of company-initiated online brand community. An online survey was conducted with a sample of online brand community members. The results found differential impacts of three types of community commitment on brand equity components, emphasizing the role of continuance and affective commitment. Continuance community commitment positively influenced brand awareness and brand association. Affective community commitment positively affected perceived quality, while among the three, only continuance and affective community commitment influenced the enhancement of brand loyalty. The results suggest that brand marketers need to focus on continuance and affective commitment factors in their online communities to effectively enhance brand equity possessed by consumers. Theoretical and managerial implications are provided.

스마트 센서와 시각적 기술자를 결합한 사진 검색 시스템 (Photo Retrieval System using Combination of Smart Sensor and Visual Descriptor)

  • This paper proposes an efficient photo retrieval system that automatically indexes for searching of relevant images, using a combination of geo-coded information, direction/location of image capture device and content-based visual features. A photo image is labeled with its GPS (Global Positioning System) coordinates and direction of the camera view at the moment of capture, and the label leads to generate a geo-spatial index with three core elements of latitude, longitude and viewing direction. Then, content-based visual features are extracted and combined with the geo-spatial information, for indexing and retrieving the photo images. For user's querying process, the proposed method adopts two steps as a progressive approach, filtering the relevant subset prior to use a content-based ranking function. To evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme, we assess the simulation performance in terms of average precision and F-score, using a natural photo collection. Comparing the proposed approach to retrieve using only visual features, an improvement of 20.8% was observed. The experimental results show that the proposed method exhibited a significant enhancement of around 7.2% in retrieval effectiveness, compared to previous work. These results reveal that a combination of context and content analysis is markedly more efficient and meaningful that using only visual feature for image search.

Nurses' Safety in the Hospital Environment: Evolutionary Concept Analysis

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the concept of nurses' safety within the context of the hospital environment. Methods: We used Rodgers' method of evolutionary concept analysis and reviewed the relevant literature and noted and categorized characteristics that appeared frequently. Results: Nurses' safety was defined as safe status and safe activity among nurses. Three key defining attributes were identified as: (a) the minimization of actual or perceived risk, (b) personal duties and rights, and (c) ensuring within a safe working environment. Antecedents of nurses' safety were categorized into three dimensions: (a) individual, including vigilance and knowledge gained through education and training; (b) institutional, including safety provision in the organizations; and (c) national, including legislation. The outcomes of nurses' safety included the following: (a) continued competence in nurses' work; (b) enhancement of the quality of patient care; and (c) reductions in nurses' turnover rates. Conclusion: Nurses' safety ensures that qualified nurses are able to continue to perform their duties and provide good patient care. The findings of this study could contribute to future research examining nurses' safety. In addition, appropriate tools must be developed to measure the concept.

AUTOMATED PROGRESS MEASUREHEMT FOR CONTRUCTION PROJECT

  • The progress is widely used as a critical index for successful construction project management. In spite of the importance of progress measurement, the excessive management effort to collect and maintain detailed data has been highlighted as a major barrier to measurement of highly accurate progress. In order to reduce the required workload and to enhance accuracy, several researches have been conducted. These researches can be categorized into two groups. First group focuses on automated data collection utilizing advanced technologies only for limited construction tasks. The second group is a research area where the standard progress measurement methodologies encompassing entire construction tasks are investigated. Topics include the adjusting the level of details, standardizing work processes, and applying flexible WBS. However, the techniques for automated data collection are not fully investigated yet in the second group. Combining these two research areas can provide a solution for more effective progress management in terms of enhancing accuracy and optimizing workload. However, there has been no comprehensive research addressing these two research groups in an integrated manner. In this context, the purpose of this paper is to propose a methodology that identifies the most suitable measurement method and data acquisition technology (e.g., GPS, RFID, etc.) for entire construction tasks of a project. The proposed methodology in this paper will be able to facilitate the selection process of data acquisition technologies for entire construction tasks of a project and to support the overall enhancement of automated progress management.

3D WALK-THROUGH ENVIRONMENTAL MODEL FOR VISUALIZATION OF INTERIOR CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS MONITORING

  • Many schedule delays and cost overruns in interior construction are caused by a lack of understanding in detailed and complicated interior works. To minimize these potential impacts in interior construction, a systematic approach for project managers to detect discrepancies at early stages and take corrective action through use of visualized data is required. This systematic implementation is still challenging: monitoring is time-consuming due to the significant amount of as-built data that needs to be collected and evaluated; and current interior construction progress reports have visual limitations in providing spatial context and in representing the complexities of interior components. To overcome these issues, this research focuses on visualization and computer vision techniques representing interior construction progress with photographs. The as-planned 3D models and as-built photographs are visualized in a 3D walk-through model. Within such an environment, the as-built interior construction elements are detected through computer vision techniques to automatically extract the progress data linked with Building Information Modeling (BIM). This allows a comparison between the as-planned model and as-built elements to be used for the representation of interior construction progress by superimposing over a 3D environment. This paper presents the process of representing and detecting interior construction components and the results for an ongoing construction project. This paper discusses implementation and future potential enhancement of these techniques in construction.

  • As complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) is scaled down to achieve higher chip density, thin-film layers have been deposited iteratively. The poor film uniformity resulting from deposition or chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) significantly affects chip yield. Therefore, the development of novel fabrication processes to enhance film uniformity is required. In this context, high-pressure deuterium annealing (HPDA) is proposed to reduce the surface roughness resulting from the CMP. The HPDA is carried out in a diluted deuterium atmosphere to achieve cost-effectiveness while maintaining high pressure. To confirm the effectiveness of HPDA, time-of-flight secondary-ion mass spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) are employed. It is confirmed that the absorbed deuterium gas facilitates the diffusion of silicon atoms, thereby reducing surface roughness.

한국어 정보 검색에서 의미적 용어 불일치 완화 방안 (Alleviating Semantic Term Mismatches in Korean Information Retrieval)

  • 정보검색시스템은 색인어와 질의어가 정확히 일치하지 않더라도 사용자 질의에 적합한 문서를 검색할 수 있어야 한다. 그러나, 색인어와 질의어간의 용어 불일치는 검색성능의 개선에 심각한 장애요소로 작용해 왔다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 문서 코퍼스의 단어들간에 자동 용어 정규화를 수행하고, 용어 정규화의 산물을 한국어 정보검색 시스템에 적용하는 방안을 제시한다. 용어 불일치를 완화하기 위해 두가지 용어 정규화, 동치부류와 공기단어 클러스터를 수행한다. 첫째, 음역어, 절차오류, 그리고 동의어를 위해 문맥 유사도를 이용하여 동치부류로 구축하는 작업이다. 둘째, 상호정보와 단어 문맥의 조합을 이용하여 단어 유사도를 계산하고 문맥 기반 용어를 정규화한다. 그런 다음, K-means 알고리즘을 이용하여 자율 클러스터링을 수행하고 공기단어 클러스터를 구축한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 용어 정규화의 산물들을 용어 불일치를 완화하기 위해 질의어 확장과정에서 사용한다. 다시 말해서 동치부류와 공기단어 클러스터는 새로운 용어로 질의를 확장하는 자원으로서 사용된다. 이러한 질의확장으로 사용자는 질의어에 음역어를 추가하여 질의어를 포괄적으로 만들거나 특정어를 추가하여 질의어를 세밀하게 만들 수 있다. 질의어 확장을 위해 두 가지 상호보완적인 방법인 용어 제시와 용어 적합성 피드백을 이용한다. 실험 결과는 제안된 시스템이 의미적 용어 불일치를 완화할 수 있고, 적절한 유사도 값을 제공할 수 있음을 보여준다. 결과적으로 제안한 시스템이 정보 검색 시스템의 검색 효율을 향상시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있다.

병행설계를 이용한 H.264/AVC의 DCT 및 CAVLC 하드웨어 구현 (Hardware Implementation of DCT and CAVLC for H.264/AVC based on Co-design)

  • 본 논문에서는 H.264/AVC의 부호기를 제작하기 위하여 DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform) 부호화와 엔트로피 부호화인 CAVLC(Context-Adaptive Variable Length Coding)를 하드웨어 IP로 설계하고 나머지 부분은 소프트웨어로 설계하는 병행설계(Co-Design)방법을 이용하였다. DCT 및 Hadamard 변환의 처리속도를 개선하기 위하여 Shift table을 제안하여 기존의 방식보다 16(%)정도 빠른 연산이 가능했다. 설계된 IP들은 Xilinx ML410보드의 Virtex-4 FX60 FPGA에 다운로드하여 MicroBlaze CPU를 이용하여 H.264/AVC의 참조 소프트웨어인 JM13.2와 연동이 가능하도록 설계하였다. 검증을 위해 각 IP에 대한 기능 시뮬레이션을 ModelSim을 이용하여 수행하였다. 마지막으로 실제 FPGA에 포팅하여 정상 동작여부를 확인하였다. 실험 결과 MicroBlaze를 이용한 S/W 연산시와 비교하여 H/W를 이용할 경우 DCT는 약 16배, CAVLC는 약 10배 빠른 처리 속도를 나타내었다. 본 연구는 H.264시스템의 H/W와 S/W의 병행설계에 관한 것이지만, 개발에 사용한 방법은 다른 임베디드 시스템 개발에도 유용하게 사용할 수 있다.

생물영역에서 고등학생의 의사결정 문제에 대한 관심도 조사 (The Survey of High School Students' Concern Levels on Decision-making Problems based on Biology)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 생물 영역에서 의사결정 문제에 대한 고등학교 학생의 관심도를 조사하는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 생물학적 지식이 관련되는 문제에서 학생의 의사결정력을 신장시킬 수 있는 공통과학의 교육과정과 교수 전략을 개발하기 위한 탐색연구의 성격을 지닌다. 의사결정 문제에 대한 관심도를 조사하기 위해 수도권 지역의 고등학교 1학년 학생들을 표집 대상으로 하였다. 조사 도구는 5점 척도의 리커르트 타입 24문항으로 구성된 것으로 연구자에 의해 개발되었다. 조사 결과 가장 관심도가 높은 문제로는 '학습 방법 선태하기'였다. 또한 '운동' 이나 '다이어트' 방법을 선택하기와 같이 개인적으로 당면한 문제나 '소음 기준안' 결정하기, ' 뇌사' 나 '인공 중절' 에 대한 찬 반의견 결정하기와 같은 사회적으로 쟁점화된 문제에 대한 관심도 또한 높았다. 개인적 상황의 의사결정 문제에 대한 관심도가 사회적 상황의 관심도 보다 유의하게 높았다(p<0.01). 남학생의 관심도는 'AIDS', '쓰레기 소각장'원자력 발전소'. 멸종 위기에 처한 생물에 대한 보호 대책 '소음 기준안'의 문제에 대해서 여학생의 관심도 보다 높았다 (p<0.05). 또한 '환경 및 생태계 오염' 영역의 문제들에 대한 관심도에서 여학생 보다 더 높았다 그러나 여학생은 '다이어트', '대리모' 문제에서 남학생의 관심도 보다 높았다. (p<0.05) 분석된 결과의 합의를 교수 전략과 교육과정의 측면에서 논의하였다.
