HAQ 알고리즘과 Moment 기반 특징을 이용한 내용 기반 영상 검색 알고리즘 (Content-Based Image Retrieval Algorithm Using HAQ Algorithm and Moment-Based Feature)

  • 본 논문은 내용 기반 검색 기법에 의한 보다 효율적인 특징 추출 및 영상 검색 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 먼저, MPEG 비디오의 key frame을 입력 영상으로 하여 Gaussian edge detector를 이용하여 객체를 추출하고, 그에 따른 객체 특징들, location feature distributed dimension feature와 invariant moments feature를 추출하였다. 다음, 제안하는 HAQ (Histogram Analysis and Quantization) 알고리즘으로 characteristic color feature를 추출하였다. 마지막으로 key frame이 아닌 shot frame을 질의영상으로 하여 제안된 matching 기법에 따라 4가지 특징들의 단계별 검색을 수행하였다. 본 논문의 목적은 사용자가 요구하는 장면이 속한 비디오의 shot 경계 내의 key frame을 검색하는 새로운 내용 기반 검색 알고리즘을 제안함에 있다. 제안된 알고리즘을 바탕으로 10개의 뮤직비디오, 836개의 시험 영상으로 실험한 결과, 효과적인 검색 효율을 보였다.

영양성분 프로파일링 기반 사료추천 알고리듬 (Nutrient Profiling-based Pet Food Recommendation Algorithm)

  • This study proposes a content-based recommendation algorithm (NRA) for pet food. The proposed algorithm tries to recommend appropriate or inappropriate feed by using collective intelligence based on user experience and prior knowledge of experts. Based on the physical and health status of the dogs, this study suggests what kind of nutrients are necessary for the dogs and the most recommended pet food containing these nutrients. Performance evaluation was performed in terms of recall, precision, F1 and AUC. As a result of the performance evaluation, the AUC and F1 value of the proposed NRA was 15% and 42% higher than that of the baseline model, respectively. In addition, the performance of NRA is shown higher for recommendation of normal dogs than disease dogs.

  • 본 논문에서는 콘텐츠 재분배 기능을 갖는 CDN (RDCDN)의 구조를 제안하고, 제안된 구조에 대한 특성과 콘텐츠 재분배 알고리즘에 대해 설명한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방식은 대리시스템의 메모리 공간을 효율적으로 관리하며, 부하조절을 위한 특별한 알고리즘 없이 능동적인 부하조절 기능을 수행할 수 있다. 또한, 주 대리시스템(Main surrogate) 기능을 통해, 각 대리시스템에서 임의적인 콘텐츠 삭제가 일어나는 경우, 발생할 수 있는 신뢰성 저하를 방지할 수 있다. 제안한 방식의 특성을 평가하기 위해, 기존 DCDN과 비교하여 대리시스템의 메모리 사용량, 대리시스템 신뢰성의 우수함을 확인하였으며, 콘텐츠 재분배 비율에 관한 시뮬레이션을 통해 RDCDN의 콘텐츠 재분배 기능의 특성을 파악하였다. 또한, 기존 상업용 CDN 모델과 DCDN의 성능을 비교하여 RDCDN의 성능의 우수성을 분명히 확인하였다.

  • 산업재산권중 하나인 상표에 대한 효율적인 이미지 검색은 상표도용 및 이로 인한 분쟁을 방지할 수 있다. 이를 위해서 효율적인 내용기반 유사이미지 검색이 하나의 방안이 될 수 있다. 본 논문은 상표이미지로부터 회색조 히스토그램(gray histogram) 분석을 통하여 가시적인 자질을 추출하여 Self Organizing Map(SOM) 알고리즘을 적용한 내용기반 유사이미지 검색시스템을 이용하는 방법을 제안하였다. 또한 내용기반 유사이미지 검색시스템의 정량적인 성능평가 방안을 제시하여 본 연구에서 개발한 이미지 검색 시스템의 객관적인 성능평가를 수행하였다.

Dynamic Probabilistic Caching Algorithm with Content Priorities for Content-Centric Networks

  • This paper presents a caching algorithm that offers better reconstructed data quality to the requesters than a probabilistic caching scheme while maintaining comparable network performance. It decides whether an incoming data packet must be cached based on the dynamic caching probability, which is adjusted according to the priorities of content carried by the data packet, the uncertainty of content popularities, and the records of cache events in the router. The adaptation of caching probability depends on the priorities of content, the multiplication factor adaptation, and the addition factor adaptation. The multiplication factor adaptation is computed from an instantaneous cache-hit ratio, whereas the addition factor adaptation relies on a multiplication factor, popularities of requested contents, a cache-hit ratio, and a cache-miss ratio. We evaluate the performance of the caching algorithm by comparing it with previous caching schemes in network simulation. The simulation results indicate that our proposed caching algorithm surpasses previous schemes in terms of data quality and is comparable in terms of network performance.

간호사를 위한 호흡곤란 응급관리 시뮬레이션 시나리오 개발 (Development of a Simulation Scenario on Emergency Nursing Care of Dyspnea Patients)

  • Purpose: This study was aimed to construct an algorithm of dyspnea emergency care and develop a simulation scenario for emergency care of dyspnea based on the algorithm. Methods: The first stage of this methodological study was to construct a preliminary algorithm based on a literature review, and content and clinical validity were established. Reflecting the result of content and clinical validity for this preliminary algorithm, simulation scenario was developed based on the modified Bay Area Simulation Collaborative scenario template. The content validity of this scenario was established, and clinical applicability was tested by applying this scenario to nurses. Results: The final simulation scenario of emergency care of dyspnea consisted of scenario overview, curricular integrity, and scenario script. The scenario was proceeded on 7 phases of the algorithm as follows; initial assessment, immediate emergency care, reassessment of dyspnea, monitoring respiratory failure, checking pulse if respiratory failure occurs, decision making on cardiopulmonary resuscitation or intubation, determining a differential diagnosis according to origin of dyspnea. Conclusion: The simulation scenario of emergency care of dyspnea developed in this study may provide a strategy of simulation education for emergency care of dyspnea for nurses.

콘텐츠 구매이력과 사용시간을 고려한 연관규칙탐색 (Searching association rules based on purchase history and usage-time of an item)

  • 디지털 콘텐츠를 사용자 개인별로 차별화하여 서비스하는 방법들이 다양하게 연구되고 있다. 연관규칙 탐색은 디지털 콘텐츠 서비스에서 각 개인의 선호도를 발견하는데 유용한 방법이다. Apriori 알고리즘은 빈발항목집합을 이용한 연관규칙 알고리즘으로 유용하게 사용되고 있다. 그러나 Apriori 알고리즘은 각 콘텐츠의 참조횟수만을 고려하기 때문에 상용 콘텐츠 서비스에서 나타나는 개인의 실제적인 선호도를 반영하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 콘텐츠별 구매이력과 사용시간을 기반으로 연관규칙을 탐색하는 Apriorir기반의 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 빈발항목을 선택할 때 구매여부에 따른 가중치 값을 가지는 사용시간을 활용한다. 이러한 방법을 통하여 실제 사용자의 정확한 선호도를 파악할 수 있다. 제안된 알고리즘을 구현하고, 실제 콘텐츠 서비스 시스템에서 나타난 실제 데이터를 통하여 성능을 검증한다.

Spectrum-Based Color Reproduction Algorithm for Makeup Simulation of 3D Facial Avatar

  • Various simulation applications for hair, clothing, and makeup of a 3D avatar can provide more useful information to users before they select a hairstyle, clothes, or cosmetics. To enhance their reality, the shapes, textures, and colors of the avatars should be similar to those found in the real world. For a more realistic 3D avatar color reproduction, this paper proposes a spectrum-based color reproduction algorithm and color management process with respect to the implementation of the algorithm. First, a makeup color reproduction model is estimated by analyzing the measured spectral reflectance of the skin samples before and after applying the makeup. To implement the model for a makeup simulation system, the color management process controls all color information of the 3D facial avatar during the 3D scanning, modeling, and rendering stages. During 3D scanning with a multi-camera system, spectrum-based camera calibration and characterization are performed to estimate the spectrum data. During the virtual makeup process, the spectrum data of the 3D facial avatar is modified based on the makeup color reproduction model. Finally, during 3D rendering, the estimated spectrum is converted into RGB data through gamut mapping and display characterization.

JPEG2000기반 검색 알고리즘 개발 (Development to Image Search Algorithm for JPEG2000)

  • In this paper, a new content-based color image retrieval method is proposed, in which both the color content and the spatial relationship of image have been taken into account. In order to represent the spatial distribution information of image, a disorder matrix, which has the invariance to the rotation and translation of the image content, has been designed. This is based on multi-resolution color-spatial information. We present our algorithm in the following section, and then verified the search results with comparison to other methods, such as color histogram, wavelet histogram, correlogram and wavelet correlogram. Experimental results with various types of images show that the proposed method not only achieves a high image retrieval performance but also improve the retrieval precision.

  • Recently, due to decrease hardware prices and the development of technology, analog signage has been changing to digital signage for providing content such as advertisements, videos. Furthermore, in order to provide advertisements and contents to users more effectively, technical researches are being conducted in various industries. In addition, including digital signage that uses displays, it can be seen that it provides advertisements and contents using diverse devices such as LED signage, smart pads, and smart phones. However, most digital signage is installed in one place to provide contents and provides interactivity through simple events such as manual content provision or touch. So, in this paper, we suggest a new object detection algorithm based on an adjacent frames based image correction algorithm for interactive building signage.
