The Research of Mini-Game by Using Online Image Automatic Detection Technology (온라인 이미지 자동 검색 기술을 이용한 미니게임에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we will introduce some method about retrieving suitable images to game or adjusting game difficulty in enjoying some contents like mini-game. It will use the technology about extracting color and texture features in content-based image retrieval in image processing. So in card game, it select card image automatically. And by controlling seed image number, we can adjusting game difficulty. Through the experiment, it shows that our image retrieval method can retrieve more useful images that can be used in game than others.

Color Correlogram using Combined RGB and HSV Color Spaces for Image Retrieval (RGB와 HSV 칼라 형태를 조합하여 사용한 칼라 코렐로그램 영상 검색)

  • Color correlogram is widely used in content-based image retrieval (CBIR) because it extracts not only the color distribution of pixels in images like color histogram, but also extracts the spatial information of pixels in the images. The color correlogram uses single color space. Therefore, the color correlograms does not have robust discriminative features. In this paper, we use both RGB and HSV color spaces together for the color correlogram to achieve better discriminative features. The proposed algorithm is tested on a large database of images and the results are compared with the single color space color correlogram. In simulation results, the proposed algorithm 5.63 average retrieval rank less than single color space correlogram.

Content- based Image Retrieval using Fuzzy Integral (퍼지 적분을 이용한 내용기반 영상 검색)

  • The management of image information settles as an important field with the advent of multimedia age and we are in need of the effective retrieval method to manage systematically image information. This paper has complemented the problem caused by the absence of space information that is a weak point of the existing color histogram method by assigning regions of features, and raised accuracy by adding texture and shape information. And existing methods using multiple features have problems that the retrieval process is embarrassed because each weight is set up manually. So we has solved these problems by assignment of weight applying fuzzy integral. As a result of experimenting with 1,000 color images, the proposed method showed better precision and recall than the existing method.

  • Multimedia data is increasing rapidly by development of computer Information technology. Specially, quick and accurate processing of image data is required in image retrieval field. But it is difficult to guarantee both quickness and accuracy. This article suggests the algorithm that extracts representative features of image using genetic algorithm to solve this problem. This algorithm guarantees quickness and accuracy of retrieval by extracting representative features of image. We used color and texture as feature of image. Experiment shows that feature extracting method that is proposed is more accurate than existing study. So this study establishes propriety of method that is proposed.

Edge Feature Extract CBIRS for Car Retrieval : CBIRS/EFI (차량 검색을 위한 측면 에지 특징 추출 내용기반 검색 : CBIRS/EFI)

  • The paper proposed CBIRS/EFI with contents based search technique using edge feature information of the object from image information of the object which is uncertain. In order to search specially efficiently case of partial image information of the object, we used the search technique which extracts outline information and color information in feature information of object. In order to experiment this, we extracted side edge feature information of the vehicle for feature information of the object after capture the car image of the underground garage. This is the system which applies a contents base search by the result which analyzes the image which extracts a feature, an original image to search and a last similar measurement result. This system compared in FE-CBIRS systems which are an existing feature extraction contents base image retrieval system and the function which improves the accuracy and an effectiveness of search rate was complemented. The performance appraisal of CBIRS/EFI systems applied edge extraction feature information and color information of the cars. And we compared a color feature search time, a shape characteristic search time and a search rate from the process which searches area feature information. We extracted the case 91.84% of car edge feature extraction rate. And a average search time of CBIRS/EFI is showing a difference of average 0.4-0.9 seconds than FE-CBIRS from vehicle. color search time, shape characteristic search time and similar search time. So, it was proven with the fact that is excellent.

  • This paper proposes an efficient image description method for image retrieval using circular scanning pattern. Therefore, we place the origin of the circular scanning pattern on center point of an image and describe spatial color features of the image using the pattern. The features are Circular Dominant Color, Circular Color Texture, and Circular Color Variation Plot. By the method we can describe color and spatial information of the image at a time, efficiently. Therefore, we can reduce the computational expense and memory usage needed to index the image more than the conventional one does.

  • 인터넷을 등장으로, 끊임없이 늘어나는 정보의 양은 오히려 사용자의 정보 습득을 어렵게 만들었다. 이를 해결하기 위한 방법으로 검색된 정보에 우선 순위를 부여함으로써 사용자가 원하는 정보를 선별할 수 있는 방법이 등장하였다. 하지만, 이는 사용자의 일시적인 질의만을 가지고 정보의 우선 순위를 결정하기 때문에 사용자가 다시 판단해야 하는 부담을 안게 되었다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 내용 기반의 정보 검색(Content-Based Information Retrieval) 방법과 더불어 사용자의 기호를 반영하는 사용자 선호도 기반의 정보 여과(Information Filtering) 방법, 그룹 선호도 기반의 협동적 정보 여과(Collaborative Filtering) 방법을 사용하여 사용자의 요구에 선결조건으로 하며, 구축된 선호도는 벡터로써 표현되어 정보와의 유사도(degree of similarity) 계산에 사용된다. 제안된 방법을 실험하기 위해 MFC(Microsoft Foundation Class) 관련 학습 사이트를 구현하여 사용자 등록을 받았다. 이 과정에서 사용자에게 여러 가지 프로파일을 요구하였으며, 변화하는 사용자의 기호를 반영하기 위해 지속적으로 사용자의 행동을 관찰하였다. 이렇게 구축된 사용자 선호도를 바탕으로 제안된 방법을 실험하고 사용자의 feedback을 통해 결과에 대한 평가를 받아, 논문에서 제안된 방법의 타당성을 입증하였다.

Image retrieval using block color characteristics and spatial pattern correlation (블록 컬러 특징과 패턴의 공간적 상관성을 이용한 영상 검색)

  • We propose a new content-based image retrieval using a block color co-occurrence matrix (BCCM) and pattern correlogram. In the proposed method, the color feature vectors are extracted by using BCCM that represents the probability of the co-occurrence of two mean colors within blocks. Also the pattern feature vectors are extracted by using pattern correlogram which is combined with spatial correlation of pattern. In the proposed pattern correlogram method. after block-divided image is classified into 48 patterns with respect to the change of the RGB color of the image, joint probability between the same pattern from the surrounding blocks existing at the fixed distance and the center pattern is calculated. Experimental results show that the proposed method can outperform the conventional methods as regards the precision and the size of the feature vector dimension.

  • 본 논문에서는 영상들의 특징들을 추출하여 특징 값들의 비교를 통하여 질의 영상의 유사 영상을 검색하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 입력 영상들의 색상 히스토그램으로 색상 특징 값들을 추출하고 질감 정보인 에지 정보와 이웃화소간의 공간 관계를 분석하여 질감 특징 값들을 추출하여 저장한 후 질의 이미지의 색상과 질감 특징들을 구하여 비교를 통하여 유사도를 분석하고 결과 영상을 보여준다. 또한 색상과 질감을 혼합하여 사용할 때 적응적으로 가중치를 부여함으로써 가중치가 적합하지 않아 발생하는 오 검출될 현상을 피할 수 있게 되었다. 실험을 통하여 기존의 방법과의 성능을 비교분석하였고 본 방법의 우수성을 입증하였다.

RETRIEVAL OF SOIL MOISTURE AND SURFACE ROUGHNESS FROM POLARIMETRIC SAR IMAGES OF VEGETATED SURFACES

  • This paper presents soil moisture retrieval from measured polarimetric backscattering coefficients of a vegetated surface. Based on the analysis of the quite complicate first-order radiative transfer scattering model for vegetated surfaces, a simplified scattering model is proposed for an inversion algorithm. Extraction of the surface-scatter component from the total scattering of a vegetation canopy is addressed using the simplified model, and also using the three-component decomposition technique. The backscattering coefficients are measured with a polarimetric L-band scatterometer during two months. At the same time, the biomasses, leaf moisture contents, and soil moisture contents are also measured. Then the measurement data are used to estimate the model parameters for vv-, hh-, and vh-polarizations. The scattering model for tall-grass-covered surfaces is inverted to retrieve the soil moisture content from the measurements using a genetic algorithm. The retrieved soil moisture contents agree quite well with the in-situ measured soil moisture data.
